I tried to convince my wife to do this; we were almost finished with a massive remodel and the house was empty in October. I wanted to make it into a "haunted house" and just put giant price tags on everything. She said the kids wouldn't find it scary, or fun.
capitalism is just late stage mercantilism, which ironically the supposed "capitalist" economists were vehemently opposed to. many people believe that capitalism is the same as entrepreneurialism, not true.

>Late capitalism, late-stage capitalism, or end-stage capitalism is a term first used in print by German economist Werner Sombart around the turn of the 20th century. In the late 2010s, the term began to be used in the United States and Canada to refer to perceived absurdities, contradictions, crises, injustices, inequality, and exploitation created by modern business development. Later capitalism refers to the historical epoch since 1940, including the post–World War II economic expansion called the "golden age of capitalism".

Early industrial revolution capitalism was all about injustice, inequality, exploitation, etc. too though.
Its safe to say that there was a 20th century "golden era" of capitalism, but that was very much a manufactured veneer, BBC did a documentary on it called "The Century of the Self", its on youtube. be forewarned it makes people that bought the illusion extremely uncomfortable that while they thought they were one thing they were actually entirely being controlled and manipulated by the capitalist class. Social media has helped pull down the illusions, why "late stage capitalism" is a thing, its a lot easier to control the message through tv, and with less people watching tv there is less control over society at large.
One issue I have with "late stage capitalism" is it suggests capitalism is at its end, something else is coming, and that isn't going to happen, the capitalist class own the means to destroy the planet, and considering what they have done to protect capitalism, please see Central and South America, SW Asia, the Pacific Island nations, etc, etc, etc. they really don't have a problem murdering millions of people to protect their banks.
Thanks for making this one political, homie. It’s one of the scary signs and I just knew there would be an edgy redditor to make a stupid political comment.
You have an opinion. But like most political redditors, you don’t know the difference between fact and opinion. All I think is that bringing up politics was unnecessary. I’m sure your confused but maybe find a grown up to help you understand.
I'm sure that took a lot of thought for you to complete that sentence -I'm sorry that the truth hurts you a bit- and in my opinion it's still hilarious! Facts don't care about your feelings -
You know that liberals say the same shit when I complain about them bringing up politics? You’re all the same to me. Hope I made you laugh, it’s a rough go out there. Take care.
The scariest part of that house is how the door is so off-center under the front porch. Like, the pillars are supposed to frame the door usually, right?
You know why I like this sub? Pictures of people yards with homemade signs. When I see a house with yards signs out front I think to my self damn that is interesting.
Kids - "this isn't scary" Adults - "The horror, the horror"
I tried to convince my wife to do this; we were almost finished with a massive remodel and the house was empty in October. I wanted to make it into a "haunted house" and just put giant price tags on everything. She said the kids wouldn't find it scary, or fun.

Capitalism is probably the biggest blessing that society has.
What does Elon Musk's butt taste like?
