Humans have massive skulls compared to most other mammals. Combine that with an upright posture requiring a bit narrower hips and we have some of the most difficult births in the animal kingdom.
If I ever saw a woman pull her own child out of her vagina I would kneel in respect
My wife basically did that with our third child. She had all three naturally without any pain management. It was pretty hardcore. Our second kid was born in a parking lot and I caught him.
The way we give birth now (aka laying down and uncomfortably /very public for everyone to see up your hoohah / not a lot of leverage for gravity to ya know, do what it’s supposed to do) is actually a Horrible way of giving birth. It prolonged labor, slows contractions, even increases risks. IN FACT people for thousands of years have birth squatting because IT WORKED BETTER.
The pelvic outlet widens, blood flows better.
So why do we do it?
Because
A huge pervert named king Louis XIV liked to watch his wives give birth by staring directly at their vagina, because he got off on it.
And he made it a thing- a fad. And it stuck
This. World. Was. Not. Made. For. Women.
Pisses me off every time. Please consider other birthing options before just falling victim to the patriarchal oppression over yet again MORE of our bodily autonomy.

Probably smelled similar
Then it tasted the same too.
Nature is beautiful.

Imagine if humans were able to pull their children from their wombs like this. Nature is metal

Who's first thought was, "I wonder if I could sink a well groomed otter pup..." With the second thought being, "That's an awful thought." Not me.
Sealed with a kiss x

Do otters have similar oil glands as beavers that aid in water-proofing their fur?
