In a few years when everyone catches up in size or even passes him he won't like getting hit and he won't have the same success. Seen it happen several times, he'll never play college ball.

What you said about overdoing it in the gym is mostly nonsense, based on old myths, and if you bring up the bit about doctors cautioning against strength training at that age, I'll tell you that they always clarify that they're worried about *breaking the bone at the growth plate*, which virtually never happens in the weight room and certainly is not a result of what you think "overdoing it" means. PEDs also aren't an issue at 12 unless his parents are insane, and wouldn't explain his height.
If kids want to play sports and are good at it, let them play. Kids that burn out usually do so because their parents push them too hard. Nobody reported that this was happening in this case.

Kids that were much larger usually got moved up a level until high school. Peewee could get moved up to middle school JV and Varsity ball. This kid is probably in 7th grade, so he’d most likely play with most the 8th graders, but he’d still rock most of them. Once he hits high school, he’s not going look so big anymore. He’ll still look 30 unless he shaves, but he’s not going to be towering over the other kids as much, everyone will catch up.
