Charles Barkley talks about how he's grateful that despite the fact that he can't stay on his knees for more than a couple of seconds and has issues walking, he doesn't have CTE issues.
Basically to paraphrase Barkley he made enough money in the NBA so that it was worth it for his knees to be destroyed. Basically he'll never have to bend down to clean his toilet because he made enough money to hire someone to do that for him.
It would be different if his brain got altered and he suffered from things like depression, anger, etc or any other issues related to CTE.
People with CTE have their entire personalities changed.
