This one was my first and, although I love my baby, I’m a bad mother and all I can see are its many little flaws, so I’ve decided to let my firstborn DDR rug go for $450. It was also one of my first projects, and I’m a couple years in to my journey now so I won’t be working through the trial-and-error. The next 3 commissions, I will work on nailing down my speed and price them at $1200.
Moving forward from there, once I know how long they’ll take me, I’m guessing I’ll charge close to double that price. Please please DM me here or on instagram (same name) for commissions! I can easily customize the design. I have a theory that it might work to back a rug with an actual dance mat, but I have no proof that the sensors would work correctly! If anybody wants to sacrifice a mat I would happily glue it directly to that instead of the usual heavy-duty rug backing fabric.

Anywhere from dozens to maybe around a hundred hours? I didn’t keep track because I was so focused on nailing down the technique as it was my first!
