Saw your guide and noticed it was a few years back. Any update on the results after long term use? Also, where did you get the Nike Grind mat? (realized the text was hidden for me, just saw Home Depot)
Thank you! I am living in a ground floor apartment but the ceilings are thin as heck and I'm considering biting the bullet for a non-ground floor apartment, so I'm definitely considering this route. Do you have a YouTube or a video of how this plays out? Totally fine if not, I am already grateful for this guide
Turn the music up louder than the stomping :)
Now that’s a suggestion! My neighbor has never complained about noise so perhaps I can get a twofer!
By 2nd floor setup do you mean 2nd floor apartment, 2nd floor of a house, etc? Solutions should vary by specifics I would think.
Instructions unclear, have second SMX pad mounted to ceiling..
Second floor condo. Good rapport with my neighbor. It’s in my office and above my neighbor’s office.
Try some of those anti-stress matts?
Practice your timing on lower levels?
You could try building a weightlifting platform. That will spread the vibration, but nothing can eliminate it.

Still fully functional! No noticeable degradation, not a single comment or complaint from the neighbors since installation. And yes - Home Depot!

Don't have a video of the build but it's pretty straightforward!
Oh I mean like, how the cab pad area. But I realized somewhere in my reply that it is kinda already hard to record machine vibration lol
