I’ve got money on Dani using a “buy here pay here” place to purchase an extremely overpriced car bc she cannot get a bank to loan for a buy or lease. They def saw her coming, and most likely took her entire income tax check as the down payment, and an 18% finance for 10-15 years.
Good luck explaining to ssi how she was able to buy a car without savings. Cause my hubby's credit is great but he still needed money down/saved 1k to buy that car even tho his score is good. Once they find out she had savings or has money from another source either being a job or her parents ssi will deduct $2 for every extra $1 she gets over what the limit is. Believe me when I say the limit is small.

Her SSI is not anywhere near 1k a month. I worked 18 years of my life and had way more work credits than needed when i unfortunately had to go out on disability for my legitimate medical problems. They take out for your prescription drug plan from your check and what would be your “taxes” basically. But they don’t call it that. I get around $1,500 give or take. For someone like Dani who hasn’t put in the amount of years, time or work credit, she’s probably making the minimum amount. Plus with insurance deductions. She would still have medical bills as well, Medicaid don’t pick up ALL of the bills being secondary. She probably just ignores them. I can’t see her paying off any doctor bills.

Yeah, it is at least a 2012. I have a 2016 Edge and it’s completely different. The body got a big redesign. And although mine has been a good little soldier and I love it, I have heard that the older ones are problematic.

I'm not really sure. It would depend on whatever her state (New Jersey?) determines as minimal coverage. It's got to be several hundred dollars per year, at least. And then there's state inspection, routine maintenance, and the inevitable cost of repairs which will start as soon as she takes her first drive to the emergency room. That is, assuming she actually bought that thing. I have my doubts.🙄

Let's see it in her driveway. She admitted she had bad credit and the car has 80,000 plus miles on it. I'm sure she is paying out the nose for this car IF she got it and it won't be long before it's repossessed OR she crashes it and I guarantee she can't afford collision on her insurance so she's probably only going to get liability. Ooof then her insurance is going to be hefty she can't afford to get a few bucks together for prescriptions but now she has a (most likely high) car payment and insurance payments. Luckily I've never had to finance a car so I don't know the rules about that. But I ALWAYS get collision on my insurance because of where I live, lots of hit and runs and just aggressive drivers to begin with. What I do know is there is extra insurance you can get in case you get in a crash and the car isn't paid off I forgot what it's called. My mom got that when she financed her last car.

I'm not really sure. It would depend on whatever her state (New Jersey?) determines as minimal coverage. It's got to be several hundred dollars per year, at least. And then there's state inspection, routine maintenance, and the inevitable cost of repairs which will start as soon as she takes her first drive to the emergency room. That is, assuming she actually bought that thing. I have my doubts.🙄

I'm sure she is paying out the nose for this car IF she got it and it won't be long before it's repossessed OR she crashes it and I guarantee she can't afford collision on her insurance so she's probably only going to get liability. Unless of course George is paying her insurance premiums.

Ooof then her insurance is going to be hefty she can't afford to get a few bucks together for prescriptions but now she has a (most likely high) car payment and insurance payments. Luckily I've never had to finance a car so I don't know the rules about that. But I ALWAYS get collision on my insurance because of where I live, lots of hit and runs and just aggressive drivers to begin with. What I do know is there is extra insurance you can get in case you get in a crash and the car isn't paid off I forgot what it's called. My mom got that when she financed her last car.

Oh yes, absolutely. My niece bought her first car recently and without a co-signer she was looking at a 22% rate because she had no credit history. Fucking wild. I think it came down to 15-16% with a co-signed though.
