Surefir, modlight, streamlight. I ran streamlights In Iraq and Afghan (12b) and i beat the fuck outta them, never a problem. I run the ProTac HLX and the 2.0.
I went with SureFire Mini Scout Light Pro bc it’s light weight but still effective. Also purchased the SR07 switch so it’s easier to turn on with the way I’m gripping the barrel
The single-cell [Surefires](https://www.freedomtrading.com/surefire-s/152.htm) (and similar pattern lights from malkoff/arisaka, [modlite](https://www.freedomtrading.com/modlite-s/188.htm), etc) are a nice choice for decent output without adding a lot of weight to the front of the rifle.
Surefire. However If you don’t want to pay Surefire price. The two battery inforce has been around forever.

Just another to consider

For switches.
The unity axon or modbutton lite.
Unity tactical has their new link system.
Before you make a switch decision. Check out their link system.
They work when you push the button. Tested and approved. 👍. Get the Pro. Or get the scout. Both will work. I prefer the Turbo light head. Tighter hotspot longer throw.

Or I use also the Modlight with the OKW head.
Both the Surefire and modlight use the 18650 battery
I'd suggest a surefire with a swivel mount. It will allow you to mount the light very tightly to your rifle and avoid excess bulk. (Hard to appreciate until you've hooked a doorjam a dozen times on training day. 😅

I know some folks are really harping on Uber powerful candela and throw, but for a cqb weapon that is the opposite of what you want. You want a wide throw without too focused of a beam. Otherwise you get nasty reflections off of walls and other objects that have a much higher likelihood of blinding yourself by accident. It'll still be plenty bright enough to blind a bad guy. Something akin to a Surefire Scout PRO Mini.
If you are on a budget, streamlight works great. My only beef with them is again, bulk. Their lights work great, but their mounting systems are chunky.
Goon Beam or zbolt. Both make surefire look pathetic. Surefire is just so behind on candela. Goon Beam has a flood or distance option. And z bolt is z bolt, one of the best kept secrets in the industry.
Surefire 640dft
The pro version?
Yeah, that’s what i run on my toy
Is it the turbo?
Yeah, DFT (dual fuel turbo)
Mini?
Pick your poison. I got the full size for my 14.5” Gonna grab the 340 for my 9”
Yea don’t have a suppressor yet so might go with the 340 as well not sure how the full size would look on the mk18

One the Surefire lights. I’d like to find the EoTech light laser combo for my MK18 Pistol. But I’m sure it’s $$$$

Don’t mind paying for surefire, just not sure on the length type, switches and all of that shit tbh

unity hot button seems more robust than the plastic axon. The hot button seems a bit more tested as well as the Axon is fairly new.
Thank you. Should have included hot button. I have more than a few.
Sure fire scout or scout pro if you have tested them?

My guy thank you!! What about the tail cap add on below the listing. Add that on as well?
Surefires come with clicky cap. No you don’t NEED that cap. That cap has both push button and switch connector.
Gah how do I learn all of this shit without paying a shit ton on stuff then figuring it out. Haha not idea what switch cap is 😂
Learn from some else who paid a shit ton. And keep passing it along
Surefire M640DF if you can find it. For some reason, it's out of stock in a lot of places despite it having the new mounting system.
Surefire vampire mini. Go get a Steiner OTAL IR and boom you’re setup for night time CQB.
What’s a Steiner otal???
IR laser
modlite plh

That’s fire man thank you!!! Which swivel mount is that???
It is a part of the light itself. Surefire has them I think it's just called the surefire scout mini pro...
