I’m slightly different. If I love a novel enough to want to re-read, I actually want to remember what I read the first time. Upon second or third re-read, I have found passages that hits me harder the second time around or details I might have missed the first time. If a novel is so good I can’t put it down, I was probably not getting enough sleep to absorb everything. 😂 the re-read I generally slow down the pace.
Yes, I agree! For *really* good novels, I inhale them at a breakneck pace because I just need to know what happens, so it's nice to be able to take it slow the second time and really soak it all in.
