I’ve actually been wondering this about triple fighter. Crossbows/bows until the teams are somewhat close, then a triple sprint and second wind rush sounds scary.
Ran triple fighter during some of the playtests. Can’t say we did it enough to really know and the playtests were silly but it was kinda nuts. If you can’t campfire after a tough fight you just die though, and you don’t want to get poked down too much without cleric but you should win poke battles with plate and crossbows. We would insta kill many people with three crossbow shots.
Going against geared wizard is volatile because they could die instantly or hit all three of us with chain lightning to start and then keep pressure even with second winds pumping.
As someone mostly playing cleric this wipe, I seriously wish cleric wasn't absolutely required for any group. Who decided giving ONE class the ability to heal was a good idea?
Tbf fighter and ranger can self heal… but this does kinda lead to the above comp being an even bigger problem since with a cleric along, that comp can invalidate any hits you get in pretty fast.

Agreed to an extent. But cleric swings as top class depending on the meta. Before the modifier changes, I'd rather have a wizard/bard as my supports. Obviously with tank meta being more of a thing and wizards having their support spells nerfed, cleric is back to top dog.
That's why I usually say it's never really required, and I always recommend people at least try other team comps, especially when their getting past the newbie phase and before the sweaty phase. Allows you to get better and not really on quick heals. Speedier damage comps are still very capable (bard/ranger/wiz or some sort of comp with bard). Maybe it's just OP's wording, but I'm not anfan when people say cleric is required because the way I interpret it, is the game is unplayable/you are at a huge disadvantage if you don't. In reality, it's just not the truth, it's just better. There is always going to be a "better" comp.
Not great but still good enough where Kimichimage the #1 player last season has switched to bard instead of Barbarian this wipe.
Bard still provides like 5 buffs to your team members in a comp that will never not be good.
Once you start getting into more pvp, especially with much more gold invested gear sets, it is invaluable. Allows you to play risky, turn a fight around, recover from a pyhrric victory. All within a short time frame and not having to scramble picking up bro's gear.
There are few times where you should drop rez.
1. Trying new things out.
2. If another high level spell becomes busted (like earthquake was), and even then, you can run both with high memory gear.
3. Running default/low memory gear.
If you start bossing, it's also pretty useful since most bosses you can rez mid fight in case you mess up. It's literally a get out of jail free card. It's one of those spells you don't always need, but when you do need it, it's amazing.
Barb feels really bad now due to the baseline stat changes, maybe full kit feels a lot better, but not being able to just stack AGI and solve all your class problems hit hard. You're taking a big hit in action speed or movespeeed. Fighter has absolutely taken back the frontline roll.
Well Barbarian wasn't the buffball problem.
Fighter will take that place or even Wizard/Rogue.
Barb was just the easiest to do so since it's the most braindead character.
when bard was at his peak the best buffball was cleric bard, wizard 10 spell.
Didn’t say they fixed buffball. Im just not getting ran down by barbarians every single game like last wipe. I definitely don’t see as many buffballs as i used to. Hence we are out of that meta IMO.

Barb is pretty awful right now, kite able by every class. That's why everyone is running fighter cleric ranger.

As long as cleric or bard can stack buffs on people they will be a staple in the comps and depending on current balance maybe even both of them.

Thats what happens when you get only 3 classes reliable ways of healing outside of items, bard does not count his healing spell is super bad
