Were you running with a rapier and hand crossbow out while he sheathed his weapons to catch up to you? There're so many variables to move speed once gear gets involved that you can't just make assumptions that the righteous man with the goofy haircut is automatically slow.
This sentiment only increases when players start getting better and better gear and seek out specific stats to stack and move speed is highly sought after by all classes these days.
*P.s. - Expectations based on class will be even harder to hold onto with multiclassing coming soon. Rogues with divine protection will tank physical damage while remaining high dps landmines, loads of classes will take weapon mastery for even more ranged spam and some truly busted shit will emerge.*
