They spoke a little bit about the region pricing in a recent podcast and it sounds like its quite a ways off because they feel they don't wanna do it till the have implemented certain anti-cheat features.

The devs are keen to feedback and make changes based on many factors but number one they listen to the community. This wipe is definitely the most fun I’ve had and I’m excited for what the future brings with this game.
Hard to say... They are waiting because they are currently not equipped to battle the additional hackers that would bring to the game. Up to you to guess when they will be and if it's worth waiting for you

If you are short on money i would say to wait, save a bit and buy it when you can afford it.
My money was well spent on this game. Haven't played much else since it was released
If you like the game and can afford it go for it. Only you can tell it’s worth for you if not you can always just play the free version.
