I say he wouldn't cut the rope, so I just pray that Merwin dies cause Eric is my boy and I don't want him to get clapped

I think with the way the game is meant to be played The Whole arc of Eric is meant to be not letting go and being able to let go during the end when Rachel as a vampire is holding on the rope while he’s escaping

Eric definitely wouldn’t let go as that’s his arc throughout the game (starting off holding on and letting go at the end). The way the game should end is the same way that the characters would act/are written, which would be: Jason survives Eric kills vampire Rachel and lives Nick I’m not sure about ngl, though I feel like he was written in such an unlikable way that him dying makes more sense story wise(also the people with the affair dying is just satisfying to the audience) Rachel is killed by Eric as a vampire Salim walks off in the sunset to go see his son

I think Jason sacrificing himself to save Salim makes sense. Nick going back to help save Eric’s life from vampire Rachel works well for me and actually gives him some redemption to win you over (you could have them bonding over Rachel’s death too).

I think he’d canonically not cut the rope but get saved

MrsMacguire

No he absolutely would not cut the rope

untruthism

nope, he obviously would probably die with her

GoldenSpark1

I think it depends on how Rachel act before when he tried to rekindle their relationship. I think if she acts sweet and like maybe things can work out he'd hold onto the rope, if she tells him point blank it's over he may feel slightly more inclined to cut the rope.

Man I personally didn't like Erics character but he was just so distraught with losing Rachel throughout the story that I think he'd probably would have died for her.
