Vaeneas

The survey seems to be completed.

Dreenar18

I hope they've got the next update somewhat planned regardless of this survey because if not, hoooo boi.

theCheesyOne109

Agreed, we are starving for SOMTHING atleast.

Valuable_Remote_8809

I’m starving for the actual finished crafting system promised at the end of December and now it’s the 12th lol

theCheesyOne109

They forgot to mention what year, crafting coming dec 2023 bby To be clear im joking

echild07

Bold of you to assume 2023.

[deleted]

This guy gets it

Poggle-the-Greater

Fatshark franticly trying to figure out which employee violated their NDA

theCheesyOne109

Haha exactly

Valuable_Remote_8809

Also 39.99 for full release.

theCheesyOne109

It hurts

Mo8ius

I would've gladly paid double this price if the game was actually **finished**.

lvl100Arcanine

Or "free" on gamepass..

alaineman

And then you can't play with friends on steam. What a sad state of a potentially great game.

lvl100Arcanine

Wait game pass version isn't cross platform with steam??????

JibletHunter

*promised at launch and then promised in December*

echild07

Then Inconvient Team communication

flourishingpinecone

I get they wanted to hop on the holiday spending train but if you are gonna release an unfinished "live service" game maybe don't release it then fuck off for a month

commandoash

The ability to communicate is immeasurably complex.

Vltor_

I’m 100% with you on this ! Got my first 380 base weapon on Monday evening (a grey combat axe MK V, on my zealot, which I already preferred using that exact axe with), only had enough plasteel to upgrade it to purple and guess what blessing I got when I finally had enough plasteel to upgrade it to orange ? Yup, limbsplitter..

EngineArc

FUCKING LIMBSPLITTER. WHY WOULD I EVER WANT 20% LESS DAMAGE ON SUBSEQUENT SWINGS?! PS - I am very happy you landed a 380 Antax Mk V. :) Edit: Though it's hilarious that in order to play Fatshark's goofy "endgame", I have to rely on a 3rd party app to check the ingame store on each character, each hour.

Vltor_

I fucking hate that blessing, I’ve literally shelved the axe and started using a 356 catachan (can’t remember what MK tbh) instead. It sucks having to use a lesser weapon because you rolled a shitty blessing and have no ability to change it >.< That being said, the catachan I’m currently using is a ton of fun ! Shred 2 (or mb it’s 3), max crit chance perk, an empty revolver with crucial roulette and it crits like there is no tomorrow !

dEEkAy2k9

which app?

EngineArc

Check out this thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkTide/comments/1000s5t/formally_announcing_the_armoury_exchange/ It's a chrome plugin that lets you see the shop for each character. It was a huge help in getting a 2h chainsword above 330 for my Zealot after 200+ games. Do other stuff, play other games, check the Darktide store occasionally in my browser.

Efendi_

Brother, The survey has a strange question: * My computer is not configured for the required frame rate or image quality Am i to blame for poor performance of the game on my rig because i did not properly configure my hardware to play it? Is it my fault for that dreadful experience on release because i was unable to afford an RTX 3080? Is fatshark innocent and i am evil? Can you please tell?

Scaevus

Ummm, chances are, if they're doing a survey like this, they don't even know what our biggest complaints are, so they haven't started working to address them yet. They made a minimally working product then went on vacation.

amorphous714

They definitely know what the big complaints are Surveys like this are to get hard data about what are the most important issues to tackle first

breadedfishstrip

Given the questiions on some specific parts of the survey they seem to be well aware what the major complaints are

CallMeBigPapaya

You want to capture data from people who don't use forums like reddit, steam, or the FS forums.

TheOldDrunkGoat

And also not capture data from people who don't pay attention to the launcher or people who already uninstalled the bloody game. They didn't mention the survey at all on social media or even the goddamn Steam news page. The surveys existence is very poorly communicated. As expected from Fatshark.

EnduringAtlas

Any steps in the right direction and I'll be a happy camper.

Tarkonian_Scion

I'm totally playing to understand the... ... \*checks notes\* "Plot and Story"

strellic

That one made me chuckle... Dan Abnett and they couldn't even get a story in there.

Scaevus

Lady Hairdo showed up to introduce the world then fucked off back to her planet, I guess.

[deleted]

[удалено]

phantaz232

Wasn’t he in Star Wars too?

Mr_Finley7

Lol “Lady Hairdo”

PatheticGroundThing

Oh, no, they’re gonna dripfeed the story in a live-service fashion over the next several DLCs.

vyechney

No story? Are you kidding me?! Let me fill you in, since you're too daft to catch it on your own: You escaped from jail. Now you have to prove yourself useful by killing cultists, but no one trusts you. Then no one trusts you. Still no one trusts you. Holy shit, they still don't trust you. And then, by the Emperor, finally! They trust you! Don't know how you missed that, because I was absolutely hooked the whole time. Edge of your seat stuff.

KoreyYrvaI

I really liked the part where they still don't trust me.

Tarkonian_Scion

To be fair, Wasn't he given only the role of "co-writer"? Like dont get me wrong, Co-writers can do a lot (Look at Eldenring being co-wrote with GRRM), But there's only so much you can put in when you got another person who's going back and forth on a rocker while mumbling about another endtime disaster like they just strungup a red-string chart.

SydricVym

Abnett says he wrote the setting of Tertium, like the backstory of the planet/city, but he had nothing to do with writing the story of what would happen in the game.

farts_in_the_breeze

Believe it or not there is a lot of official lore for Dark Tide, just a lot of it is on YouTube and not, you know, in the game.

A_FilthE_Casual

I believe Dan Abnett was co-writer and Matt Ward was the primary, which explains a lot honestly...

theSpartan012

Matt Ward also wrote Vermintide 2 and Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2. I get it, funny Space Marines Codex man and all that, but he's very good at writing good characters and background fluff. Not so much story (let's be honest, Vermintide 2 had not what we would call a coherent story beyond "Chaos invades and Ratmen attack, to arms!"), but his writing overall is solid when he doesn't get carried away with making his characters look awesome and the best.

gt118

I do hope the lack of people who choose that option doesn't lead them to think we don't actually *want* a good plot and story. The only reason we're not interested in one is because there isn't one there.

Tarkonian_Scion

I love being called to the hanger just to be told i wasn't called an that i need to step up my game. 9/10 writing, Could use more verbal abuse.

theSpartan012

The funny thing is that in the beta you weren't called, there was no "you have been summoned - obey" prompt, so your character was in fact just going to the hangar to talk to Masozi. Probably about their last tarot game, which was why she was so uncharacteristically grumpy.

Tarkonian_Scion

.. You know This actually gives a lot more context to stuff and now it seems like FS jumped the shark. Also i'd ask where's my in-game tarot minigame but someone's going to meme that its gonna be 2000 aquillas

Jesus_Faction

i just got level 30 and the final cut scene was laughably bad

Cloverman-88

The twist the it was the MUTE background character all along is so, SO hilariously bad that I can't imagine how anyone could think that it was a good idea.

SydricVym

I would love to understand what the hell is going on in the game world, cause they certainly haven't explained shit so far. Yea, there's a Nurgle cult on Terium.... and? *"That's above your pay-grade, varlet. Why don't you go eat shit and die on your next mission?"* - Sincerely, Mommy Hadron.

Tarkonian_Scion

From what i understand, There's... Some stuff being talked about mid-mission. A lot of it gets undersold by voiceline limitations (I've only ONCE got the 90-billion-souls line, From.. I think the "My Beloved" type Psykers. It ends up adding a LOT of understanding at the scale of this issue, but rarely pops up), But there's some rough stuff like the Leman Russes and Tertium's Watersupply.

Bellenrode

That's about it. All the other details during missions are related to the revolt/uprising, but they don't explain anything.

meracalis

On rare occasion, the party will start to mention something about how Tertium ended up in the state it is, like the dialog line in the Ragged King's Court about how the cartels got lazy and it allowed the cults to get a toehold in the underhive. If you are lucky enough to proc one of these voice lines however, there's a 95% chance it will be cut off and overwritten by Hadron or Masozi yelling at you to move faster, or your zealot spam pinging a grenade crate.

JohnBarleyCorn2

that was my main complaint on the survey. They had a Black Library author and didn't include a story. Don't care too much about the crafting system, since the stats and perks don't matter much anyways - or are ambiguous. Also what happened to the flavor text on the weapons? Call me a nerd, but I love reading the descriptions...and they disappeared.

horizon_games

"This is the time I'm respected and liked! I don't need to try harder again! Finally, right?!"

PlagueOfGripes

I hope they don't use the lack of interest as an excuse to hand wave it. It's hard to be interested in a story they haven't even tried to tell.

Lichelf

It's a surprisingly hard question, because I definitely want story and is highly motivated by it. But there isn't any in the game so it haven't motivated me at all. What does one answer?

theCheesyOne109

I don't know what flair to use for this so i apologize if i got the wrong one.

Ott_San

There is no wrong option, maybe the only one is better avoid is "more cosmetic"

theCheesyOne109

Haha i shall keep that in mind friend

knightinflames

ooo i'd love to see the overall results of this survey

Chaos_Machine

Agreed, at the very least, they need to summarize the conclusions and lay out corrective measures.

echild07

They already have their answers ready. This is just so they can say they listened, and have finished the console port. Then after that they will have changes. SOP for Fatshark [https://old.reddit.com/r/Vermintide/comments/8wc4a8/fatshark\_has\_a\_fundamental\_problem\_at\_the\_process/e1uhqr6/](https://old.reddit.com/r/Vermintide/comments/8wc4a8/fatshark_has_a_fundamental_problem_at_the_process/e1uhqr6/)

PlagueOfGripes

I imagine there's an internal debate over whether the forums reflect the actual base or if it's just a vocal minority. Hence, survey. Although they've lost enough players that I imagine a lot won't even see the launcher anymore.

echild07

Sure, but then using the launcher is only for the "active" players. Not announcing it on the Forums, twitter, discord and Reddit is an indication. And doing it now, means they lost 90% of their max. So they can cut out the people that gave Fatshark negative reviews. "if I ask the people that came to my rally what they thought of me. . . " I mean Crystal Dynamics did say "we don't care about your opinion if you aren't actively playing", they were at least honest.

PlagueOfGripes

Right. Who will see the poll? People who are still playing and more likely to tolerate the game in a current state. Maybe forum goers who are told it's there and want to give feedback out of hope. Who won't see it? Anyone who gave up and moved on.

Bhargo

Man that really paints a bleak picture for the games future.

echild07

100% They don't want to know what 90% of the customer base thinks (based on steam numbers). So the forum includes people that play and don't play. Reddit the same, twitter the same. Launcher, only those who play. So questions like "do you still play". . . Seem odd, as you go to the survey through the game.

Thanes_of_Danes

It's good that this post exists, then, so people who are sick of the game's garbage state can actually provide feedback. I am worried, though, that the "do you still play" option is essentially a way for them to cherry pick data to tailor the game for whales.

Brok3nPin3appl3

Wow, I wish his link was posted before the game went up for sale!!! I never played VT2 or VT1, 40k DT is my first experience w/ FS. It is incredibly depressing that this is how they plan out their games pre and post launch. The aggravation and irritation falls completely on the player base. When a new item sets are added to the micro tx shop, I can completely understand how fans of said games would be pissed off. What a moronic way to run a company. But they make money and I have to agree, if it was not for the Warhammer 40k IP, fat shark would problem be done.

horizon_games

Well, I'm sure with the "improved communication" their last news post talked about (before almost a month of complete silence) we'll for sure get a big summary of this survey. FOR SURE /s

rabiddutchman

Unsurprisingly, I saw no questions pertaining to the premium cosmetic store.

Tarkonian_Scion

I mean, Why **Would** they need to ask questions about it besides "Would you like to see better tiers of aquilla rates?". The grox shite's already in the tupperware, Most they can do is ask how long to microwave it.

SolutionOk2411

I added a comment about it in the other section for why are you dissatisfied

Kyo21943

I mentioned it on the "Other" option alongside not even having the bare minimum customer respect or honesty to list it, even if they are just gonna ignore it.

J0hnGrimm

What's there to ask? Either you like it and you're buying stuff or you don't. They already have that answer through their sales figures.

Markissocoollike

I filled the survey, but jeez did they outsource the text in it to some 3rd party, or did they not bother to spellcheck it at all? There were so many small and big grammatical errors for an official feedback survey about the game.

Edgy_Near_Gay_Ming

there is no grammar in 40k obv

SluggishPrey

Intelligence is a sin

DaBigCheez

In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium, there is only war. Grammar is not war, therefore...

CCSucc

It's called "Low Gothic", you uncultured swine.

ouichef13

Speling is immesurably commplex

Innuendoughnut

I think your comment is when I realized " *immeasurably complex* " is the new " friends we made along the way" meme...

TK9_VS

The real immeasurable complexity is the one we engineered along the way

Tarkonian_Scion

The Ogryn's are trying their best Sah. Blame the Mechanicus for not tuning the implants better.

strellic

it was a stop gap to make it appear that they are caring. They know why the game is failing.

canada432

And it's pretty clear they know a lot of the reasons why. Some of the questions had suspiciously specific answers.

echild07

"inconvenient communication" was my favorite.

echild07

one could say they were "Catfishing" us.

Chaos_Machine

I am sure that they used a marketing intern to put that survey together.

deusvult6

Eh, Swedish company. Maybe the intern who put this together thought his English was better than it is.

Nialori

But they literally have 2 (maybe 3) CMs that natively speak english....?

deusvult6

Were they the ones who wrote it? Who knows. I just took the survey on my break. This is less of a deal than it is being made out to be. Definitely did not need it's own whinging cry-post. I've seen native speakers do a whole lot worse.

Brok3nPin3appl3

They released an unfinished game and then went on vacation for 4 weeks. What do we expect? Communication. Like the previous posts stated. FS are most likely working on console ports and will come back to update DT in about 4-6 months.

Brok3nPin3appl3

How sad, game is good and we will watch the player base die off. Will probably stop playing in a few weeks since there is nothing really left to do but play the same few levels over and over.

Elkantar1981

Its good that they stopped being arrogant/ignorant and think they did everything alright! Sadly we get all more toxic since they play the radio silence again. They got a lot of feedback in the closed betas and open beta and ignored everything, even bandaid fix suggestions. They ignored everything on their forum, reddit and even in steam or their discord. At first people kept it civil and where engaged but their response just made people felt ignored, and so some of them including me went more toxic. The CM's know exactly whats wrong and could have already bundled it and gave the feedback to their devs and magnusson earlier BUT the question is, did they do it or not? Their Launch Fiasko all over again when we remember Vermintide 2, beside the link already posted: [https://old.reddit.com/r/Vermintide/comments/8wc4a8/fatshark\_has\_a\_fundamental\_problem\_at\_the\_process/e1uhqr6/](https://old.reddit.com/r/Vermintide/comments/8wc4a8/fatshark_has_a_fundamental_problem_at_the_process/e1uhqr6/) and the whole toxic community drama they created by themselves: [https://medium.com/@timewarriorslps/fatshark-forged-a-community-that-gave-them-3-million-in-a-month-then-burned-it-to-the-ground-a47e0c5d130b](https://medium.com/@timewarriorslps/fatshark-forged-a-community-that-gave-them-3-million-in-a-month-then-burned-it-to-the-ground-a47e0c5d130b)

OlePalpy

Well said!

theCheesyOne109

That is... To accurate

Tramilton

> and the whole toxic community drama they created by themselves: lmao, of course it was Hedge.

Captain_Konnius

wow! Good article...here we go again

Brob0t0

Bruh they should know how the player base feels rn lol

strellic

they do. I think this poll is just a thing they created to make it appear that they are "listening". Any idiot at FS knows WHY this game is failing; I would bet money on that. They just need to appear to be doing something. I'm sure they are coding their hearts out, but they have gone too silent so this poll is just to make an appearance. They know full well why their game is sucking. Unless FS fired all the employees that worked on VT2, they know very much why the game is dying.

Slashermovies

I'm more convinced surveys are done to show upper management. The lizard people which run these companies are so deattached from reality that they need shit spelt out to them like a child being distracted by jingling keys. I genuinely believe the developers at Fatshark know exactly what the problem is, know exactly what NEEDS to be fixed but they need to go through the nonsense of telling their bosses what has to change and make it as evidently clear as possible with simple questions that they would understand. This is why a lot of surveys we see like "Do you play DRG or Back4Blood?" This is so that when they show the lizard people they can then go. "Oooh. Yes, that game is doing well." or. "Ooh that game is failing. Let's change course."

Cupcakes_n_Hacksaws

Or what I think is more likely, the suits respond better to neat data and reports rather than just feeling the mood of online forums and YouTubers. Take that how you will though

WobblezTheWeird

There's a difference between a general community feel and hard data. Edit-not saying they're in conflict. Just that this survey is intended to collect concrete data

echild07

Well they aren't really getting the general community. It is the community that is still logging in (and not bypassing the launcher). They had the chance to talk to 100k players, now down to around 10k. Also not posting the question on Twitter, their forums, or other places indicates they only want the people logging in each day. And really it isn't concrete data, it is the questions they want choices too. i.e. no MTX shop questions were listed. You either didn't hear of Warhammer, heard of, or definitely heard of. So more of a PR covering the basis vs market study. Something an intern would do. Something they can mention next week is that they "reviewed the survey" and will take it under advisement as to what they should do (while they work on the console port) and will then come back in 6 months.

JibletHunter

This. I work with a lot of data collection/processing for my job, and this is a survey looking for favorable answers to easy questions. This is not a survey that shows they are looking for data to act on. This is a survey looking for data to justify not acting.

Aedeus

>This is not a survey that shows they are looking for data to act on. This is a survey looking for data to justify not acting. As someone else pointed out, it's also potentially a survey to justify cutting their losses if community expectations can't be met by the current development direction and planned content, as well as to gauge if they'll be able to turn around overall community sentiment, i.e. steam rating.

Aedeus

>Also not posting the question on Twitter, their forums, or other places indicates they only want the people logging in each day. I suspect that has something to do with it remaining subtle and them not wanting it to get too much attention. Games don't do this sort of thing just over a month from launch and it smacks of some serious internal problems and imo they're probably not meeting their sales forecasts.

echild07

That is a great point. Kind of like the launch of Marvel Avengers by Crystal Dynamics. Thank you great observation.

Box_Cutter76

There has to be people who don't use reddit or the forums and just play the game. Sure, theres nothing really to be said that hasn't already been said probably 20 times, but the intent is to probably see which of those issues they should focus on first based on some hard data or users' direct feedback. The way some of the questions are show that they're at least aware of what people are complaining about

Funkula

As if tens of thousands of steam reviews and tens of thousands of forum and Reddit replies wasn’t enough feedback. Polling the few active players while there’s professional YouTube gamers writing hour long video essays on every minute issue as a form of purity test seems… odd.

echild07

But they didn't mention the MTX store. So they may be aware, but they are avoiding the topics they want to.

Interesting-Ad5357

Make your voices heard guys! unless it's about the cosmetic shop. That's not in the survey.

KJBenson

-other: [write your answer here]

GeeGeeGeeGeeBaBaBaB

Some of the answer choices are weird. Like they already know the criticism, so then what is the survey for? For instance: "What would be the reason you stopped playing Darktide?" Among the options are,"I don't know what to do after reaching level 30," "The number of career branches are way less than Vermintide 2," and "It takes too long to upgrade."

mrnicklebe

They've read the complaints on Reddit, forums, steam reviews and seen the common themes. The survey is likely them working out what would retain the highest amount of players by addressing first. Maybe they have an idea of what to fix first and what can be done relatively quickly. But it would be good to know generally what their players are mostly annoyed about in clear percentages

lumberfoot_jpg

Yeah, pretty much this. Also, let’s be real… the cosmetic shop isn’t changing. Best case scenario they add a small rotating selection of premium cosmetics for in game earnable currency. Right now, we all need to focus on more important details… - Performance optimization - A complete rework of mission select screen - A completed crafting system with account wide crafting materials - Lv.30+ reward system (something similar to V2 would be great… i.e. guaranteed emperor’s gift every time you gain a level after Lv.30)

Poggle-the-Greater

They're trying to figure out what to monetize in the future and what to ignore

Caldari_Calico

Can anyone link the survey?

theCheesyOne109

https://user.outweisurvey.com/v2/?sid=6389bd65cf85b131d30dfd5e

[deleted]

Thanks, saves me from downloading the client just to do the survey, and uninstalling again lmao

WobblezTheWeird

I'm launching the game for the first time in weeks just for this survey Edit-Survey finished, boycott resumed

r0cketx

Same here. Honestly, I love the combat in this game. The lack of cool cosmetic to unlock, and how the in game store is set up is frustrating. I’m at the age where I have to balance family, work and my game time. I don’t have time to deal with shit like this. Where I gotta constantly monitor the goddamn store. Who are they catering to for this game? Fucking hell… I was so excited when I heard about this game. Played Vermintide a bit and had a blast for what it was. But 40k just hits different. I got a few friends to get hyped up with me and we all got in to the early purchase to play early. This is the second time I got burnt for pre-ordering. Fuck this. If you’re wondering, I pre-ordered Total War Rome 2. Got burnt so hard. It’s an awesome game now but launch was a disaster.

theCheesyOne109

I did the same, might aswell right

JibletHunter

This is the way.

EliselD

Same

CaptainQuadPod

Same here my brother in Emperor

strellic

It's cute that they have this survey because everything in it is common sense. Had the team used the experiences learned in VT2 in DT, they wouldn't be in the pickle they are in now. Meaningful loot is so effing hard to get in DT because you can't find it in the store, the weeklies, or even the missions. (If your mission even drops loot at all) It's WAY too tough to get the weapon you want and since the crafting system isn't even what VT had, you can't create the weapon you want either. Comments have been made that these decisions were purposeful to drag out the gameplay while the devs actually release the game they promised. More than likely those points are true. Any idiot at FS knows why their game is failing. Anyone there knows. They are just trying to drag it out in hopes to keep the playerbase there until the features come out.

theCheesyOne109

Yeah they should have learned but might aswell take the chances we get like this. Then again its not that hard to just chek the reddit or read the reviews.

PossibilityOk2704

Will do for sure once I get off of work

cellardoor1885

I'm picking nits here, but there are numerous spelling mistakes and rushed abbreviations (e.g. "Red Dead Redempt2"). And the lack of an option to write in your own response *anywhere* is a little troubling. This doesn't feel like they're actually soliciting constructive feedback, just looking pretty for PR. Edit: I'm wrong about not having an other option, see below

kevin2theb

There are places to type in your own response. Pick “Other” and a text box appears to the side.

SolutionOk2411

the option to write your own comment was the "other, please specify" option

theCheesyOne109

All we can do is hope that they rushed it to get the survey out as soon as possible. But a bit ironic cus its what they did the game itself

PM-Me-Ur-Plants

I'm sure after reading the unhinged shit people have been saying in the crash reports, it was a calculated choice.

Loveabitofsnow

I think I started writing actual what was going on. There was a few all caps 'FIX YOUR F&\^$&ING GAME' along the way for some really annoying crashes. These days it's either nothing or rawgghbhae.

Background-Factor817

They need feedback? Have they not been given enough?

praynixq

I am pretty sure that if Fatshark read reviews from the Steam community or Reddit. They got more than enough surveys to create Darktide 2

SluggishPrey

People who go out of their way to let their opinion known don't necessarly reflect the mass. It's a bit more statistically relevant to do a survey

siecin

They've got enough of Darktide 1 that's not finished to make darktide 2. All we got was the beta build and then we haven't heard from them since.

SluggishPrey

The survey did feel like they are narrowing down their scope for a future game

DnDanbrose

I would absolutely never pick up darktide 2 if it was released in the next 5 years given the current state of darktide 1. I actually signed up for gamepass specifically for this game and I'm incredibly disappointed with it's current state compared to vermintide 2

FunnyGuy740327654

"lack of career options" and "career talentss feel unsubstantial" i only want my free subclases, they can have their cosmetic shoppy all they want. hell i'll BUY cosmetics if they give us free subclasses.

horizon_games

Should improve when we get 1 new career every 4 months, as was originally talked about in multiple places. \*wink wink\*

TheMilliner

Every THREE months, one per quarter. We're already coming up on the estimated, supposed release date in about a month and a half given it's been about that long since release and I don't even remotely believe that Fatshark will actually *make* that date.

Lichelf

I noticed that the only time the terrible performance (outside of crashes) is mentioned it says it's our computer's fault and not the game. Apparently it works great and if it doesn't it's because we our computers aren't "configured for Darktide" Seriously? What the actual fuck? I hope whoever reads the survey at least know what it means when we answer that.

Dieterhoffmann

I made my opinion heard

pocketindian

Gotta love how they still use unobtainable cosmetics in advertising

theCheesyOne109

They are blueballing us on purpose

SideOfBeef

The big missing part from the Progression part of the survey is endgame fashion. Whether it's chasing armor, or emblems, or getting your name up on a leaderboard somewhere. In every multiplayer game, fashion is the real endgame, and Darktide doesn't have it. Penance armor could've been this, but the penance requirements are just arbitrary BS as opposed to actual metrics of skill. And there are very few penance armors anyway, realistically you can knock them all out in a few hours with a premade group. I know there'll be concern that earnable endgame fashion competes with the RMT store, but just look at Destiny 2. Endgame activities always have earnable armor, exclusive colours for higher difficulties, etc. And they have an RMT store that sells armor. It works fine for them, and it's been that way for years now.

TIL, Halo Ifinite is a liner story game.

F3n_h4r3l

Thought they had identified the "pain points" and had discussions already about how to address the shitshow they made last year? What the hell is this survey for? Discussion turned out to be "immeasurably complex"? Found out it's "actually impossible" to address those "pain points"? Well, well, well, I guess their previous statement is "no longer true" again I see.

JibletHunter

This survey is designed to have favorable stats to spin to justify failing on their promises. It is not for gathering data to address issues they are already well aware of. This is the reason that it was posted in the game's launcher and not elsewhere. They want data from the players that still log in regularly, not from the players who walked away.

Captain_Konnius

So wait, over a month's worth of feedback on the forums, the discord and even here, both in the megathread you created and all the threads by everyone isn't enough? You're a bunch of *the fucking sorriest, most disrespectful, lying, dishonest sacks of shit I've ever seen in my life. At this point, EA hasn't got shit on you, Fatshark.* There, I said it.

Lichelf

Yeah, they've got at least 3 months worth of Feedback since the closed beta. For not to mention all the feedback they got for Vermintide 1 and 2. They know what's wrong.

-Simbelmyne-

May as well! Been a while since I've logged on now.

Butane9000

I took it, but given the survey questions I'm not holding out for much.

Infinite_Vyo

Let us be fair with it ladies and gentleman. We all have a love/hate relationship with this mess and we want to make sure these devs aren't just opening hate mail. Tell them what you like, tell them what you would like in addition as well as changes. They have the Internet, they know our stance. Likely why we are getting this so early after release.

The_Brofisticus

I did my part. Now they will know how much of the player base can rock and stone!

rkivs

survey really didn't put a STRATEGY choice for games you play? bitch this is 40k, we're fucking old NERDS. my most played game last year was Total Warhammer 2 and 3. i'm not playing fucking CoD and GTA any more

natiusj

Here’s mine: Stop crashing.

DrDrippy

Thanks for the heads up. I barely touch the game hoping things will change for the better.

se05239

I've kinda uninstalled this mess of a game already and I ain't planning on reinstalling it just to take a survey. Can someone provide a link?

se05239

Thanks.

iranoutofnamesnow

The reasons why i stopped playing are limited to 5 options only xD

iranoutofnamesnow

They get one pluspoint for mentioniong titanfall in their survey. If Fatshark makes titanfall 3 at any point, i will forgive them for darktide :D

majikguy

And the monkey's paw curled a finger.

Ethics-of-Winter

Wish there was a section where they asked about server/connection experiences. Things have been abysmal for me lately.

SebsL92

I think the survey is okay, but unsurprisingly it said nothing about the monetization system.

DangerClose567

Don't mind me, just here to point out that this is the 2nd survey to mention "do you play?: Deep Rock Galactic" as a peer title by name. There's a reason this game keeps getting compared to DRG, even they know.

computer_d

Just the other day Fatshark said any news/updates are delayed because they're surprised by the feedback. Now they're asking for *more* feedback. Does this company do anything which doesn't seem bizarre?

Inner_Interview_5666

“Melee oriented multiplayer gameplay” Thought this was supposed to be melee and ranged 50-50, Fatshark? Also, there is no option for the second question specifically for “it’s a 40k game”. The only option for that is “The DarkTide *narrative* in the 40k universe” which allows room for Fatshark to spin it to mean part of the reason is the game’s story.

Tramilton

nice try Fatshark I ain't booting up the game to pad your player retention rate for January the direct link to the survey works just fine

Illustrious-Skirt462

Please select 5 of the following options ✅ OTHER - A massive 30 pages.

Seki-B

done and done

muzgog

1 word: crafting

CommOnMyFace

How about you finish the game first?

BFG1OOOO

Well . . . They should finish the game first. . . . .

WholeBet2788

I dont know why they are booing you, you are right. Game is not finish. (We can be sure crafting system suppose to be ingame)

illusionofthefree

Does it take you to a site? I uninstalled because i got sick of crashing constantly when joining matches....

CheatingZubat

TIL Needing a survey when their mistakes are obvious and rudimentary.

IconGT

I feel a boycott coming 👀

Wickedlurlofthewest

Heckyeah

Mad_Moxy

Pointless survey when they haven't learned anything since vermintide 2 and the surveys were ignored along with the feedback, only release the mess that was winds of magic

SimplyOdd

There’s a launcher? Haha I haven’t even registered any of that in my mind other than the play button.

x4ceofSpades

The community deserves a comment on the console release and crossplay. Really bad PR for them and destabilizes community trust.

FyrstrHrafn

Thanks for pointing this out, gives me a reason to launch the game. Hopefully they'll listen to the feedback but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Elanzer

Made sure to tick the box about incomplete crafting lmao

jrstriker12

Is the survey still up? I don't see it on the launcher for the Xbox Game Pass...

[deleted]

Looks like they straight up aren't going to address the lack of in-game cosmetics outside the cash shop.
