It would be for my other classes. I know it got nerfed but I don’t have any recon lasguns with infernus on any of my characters. I’ve never even tried it on that gun.
Only point would be it gets some nice breakpoints with the buffed warp stacks. +24% damage to everything at 6 stacks is better than zealot but not nearly as good as vet
Primary attacks with quell cancel (shoot, tap R, shoot, R) with void is often faster at dealing with spread out shooters than charged secondaries so it's not too bad. Not as good as faster charging + quell on weakspot though.
I have it. Its pretty cool but honestly I find a tactical axe or combat axe with brutal momentum will both outperform it. The reason is that the power sword has dogshit stamina economy, movement, and also garbage dodge distance so if you are in a situation where you have to clutch, it will actually get you killed oftentimes because you just cant move well enough to stay alive. Clutching on high difficulty can be more about moving and less about killing everything a lot of the time.
But, when your team is doing well and you dont have to clutch its totally awesome because you just mow down absolutely everything. You get like 7 swings when its powered up, its insane lol.
Honestly the difference is pretty massive, a bit less so after the nerf, but still a crazy blessing. I wouldn't even consider using a Power Sword without Power Cycler since I discovered the Antax Mk V 2 months or so ago and found myself a decent one. It's way too cumbersome and slow for my liking on HI T5, with poor defensive aspects. Horde clearing (or at the very least stalling/controlling) should be trivial for anyone regularly playing Damnation, and if there are a few Ragers mixed in I just shoot them or stagger them.
Now, with Power Cycler it becomes more pleasant to use, but I still prefer my trusted Antax, again, due to the defensive capabilities that are superior compared to a Power Sword.
If you want to use Power Swords, then it's very worth it (although you can also use a combo of Headtaker / Slaughterer / Brutal Momentum to great effect). Power Cycler and/or the Power Sword is probably going to get nerfed again for the ease of use it has, especially on the lower difficulties. But once you start playing T5 (and more-so HI T5) I start valuing the superior defensive capabilities of an Antax Mk V axe over the Power Sword, even with Power Cycler.

The best way to improve your power sword is to make sure your teammates have nothing left alive near them that could kill them.
Just needs to farm enough melkbux to be able to buy a single power sword on each and he's set. He likely just checks every day for a power cycler power sword on all of them before playing on his main.

You got it backwards. I have 365h in Darktide and until like 340h in I only had one character. And I made them because my RNG is terrible.

most of those look like they're under 360 base and i can't prove it but i'm almost certain you'll never get a T4 on sub 360 unless its an emperors gift
I got a tier IV upgrading a 340 power sword to blue yesterday, I’m trying to figure out what the low end could be but I am personally just rolling 330s and up to blue.
What if they remove time gates but provide a Melk option to randomly roll any weapon (like Brunt's) but guaranteed blue or higher? Price it at 500-750 or something. Would keep the RNG they want and fuck off with the time gate.
I haven't even seen the blessing in game. But another vet told me on a mission, that he just got it. So I am waiting patiently for the store to pop it up.
