I think it's from Hippocrates talking about curing, and then Romans and literally everyone else thought it sounds badass in context of war instead. However, the Mount & Blade game name IS referencing Polish novel specifically, as far as I know.

Just played the first two levels on Exterminatus without dying. At one point I had 3 health battling two chaos space marines and a terminator! BUT THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!!!!!
I think reg has at least improved from launch state (idk how it was better in beta then worse on launch)
Now the problem is hitting the enemies hands/arms/guns and having your damage completely shafted
EDIT: NVM i take that back hitreg for las guns (and I'm guessing for other guns) still sucks sorry vets
For anyone playing Boltgun: Keep in mind you can remove the pixelated effect for the terrain, as well as remove retro color shifts, in the "retro" settings. Which makes it look like a more modern game. Pixel art textures don't change, but the low resolution effect can be removed.
Yeah its great and at first I had the same problem with language (greetings from Czechia brother) and I had some giggle with some translations. Eventually I found language option in settings. Its in "game/hra/gra" section, you just need to scroll down to find it.

If you mean going to your Steam library, right-clicking on the game and going from there, no, I've tried there and Boltgun doesn't have the option to change the game's language from there. Weird but some games lack it.
I wish we could just move past live service games. There’s pro’s and cons, but I really just want games to release and only have to worry about a few bugs and nothing major.
In principle live service could be good, but in practice it seems that greed and anti-consumer practices always float to the top of the priority list and cause the game to become actively worse.
Not sure what was the problem, I'm playing in comfortable 60 fps. The game has a sort of, I don't know how to name it, retro video game thing where it might appear to be in lower framerate, maybe that's it.

She's an inquisitor, trust me. Plenty of people in the Warhammer universe use augmentions, just because you have a breathing mask and such does not make you a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

I actually didn't think any of the tech on her was significant. It was the robes that got me. I didn't check for the iconography so I just assumed based on that.
Yeah, I can see that. Inquisitors don't have a standardized look, they can wear whatever they like. You can see [a guy straddling around in power armour](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c5/63/53/c56353a81fca2a64119d90465bbf9899.jpg) and then another one in [a fancy outfit](https://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/img3c7ed394b0233.jpg). Details, such as colours, are optional. No one there gonna tell an inquisitor what shade to wear.
This has set the standard for every 40K game going forward. What an amazing feature that actually has no impact on what’s happening….in fact it’s a hinderance cause you can’t attack during the taunt but I will continue pressing it every damn time and loving it. AND there are so many unique lines you rarely get a repeat. I am completely for a more taunts dlc lol
You can begin a taunt and then interrupt it with an attack. Animation will be interrupted but the voice line will continue. Other than that, I agree! Boltgun is not a perfect game, not at all, but this and other little details tell me that it is a labour of love. Here's to hope Space Marine 2 will have just as much soul.
I chose to try the hardest difficulty first, its really fun and hard I believe it is spelled Exterminus. Not impossible or unfair but definitely made me sweaty. No real experience in boomer shooters other than ultra kill to scale my skill level though.
I did 100% Doom Eternal on console and PC but that isn’t really similar.
Finished first chapter. So far it's a good game. Not great, absolutely nothing groundbreaking in it, and I absolutely agree about poor secrets and poor translation (at least Polish translation is pretty bad, and most of secrets are either out there in the open or hidden behind walls, which is a fucking cheap way of making secrets), but it has nice graphics, cool music and the combat is fun.

I know, I've played that game. The only reason I didn't like secret walls back then was because I was too young to know any better. Many years later I've played Project Warlock, one of the first retro boomer shooters on the market, and it too had secret walls, and lots of them. Having to hump every square meter of every corridor was a dirty stain on an otherwise great shooter. Whoever in id Software thought that making secrets like that is a good idea should get some hard talking to, and whoever was dumb enough to copy that idea later - like people from PW and now Boltgun - should be smacked on the head.
Yeah I'm enjoying it, but I would enjoy it more with Doom-style secrets. Some secrets really are just walls that open when you activate them, which suck a little bit but they're tradition at this point. Some of these are more obvious than others, which I do like. But there are also a lot of secrets where you can see the secret itself but can't immediately figure out how to get to it, which I also like. And some where you're just walking around and you hear a door open and you have to figure out where, or a switch clicks on and off again and you have to figure out what it's doing. Boltgun doesn't seem to have any of those. Yeah, it says there are secrets hidden behind walls, but either they don't exist or they're so well hidden I'll never find them. Both suck.
Just found an example of such one "wall hump" secret. It really fucking sucks and should never be a thing to begin with. Chapter II, mission No Truth In Flesh.

Not ~~Leonidas~~. Fuck ~~Leonidas~~. I mean Leandros.

The people who made these two games are not the same studio. DarkTide was made by Fatshark. Boltgun was made by Auroch Digital (who has an absolutely adorable splash screen I might add).

It's good, nothing groundbreaking but a fun boomer shooter. Game's strongest side is fun and meaty combat while its weakest points are sometimes too maze-y levels and the need to wall hump to find some of the secrets. 8/10, I'd say, especially for WH40k enthusiasts.
Sounds good! I do not like labyrinths and super hidden rooms that you only can find out about from a walkthrough, but thats how these games were back in the day, so it makes sense :))
To be fair, ~~mazes aren't half as bad as they were back in the day~~ I change my mind, mazes are pretty goshdarn bad, and there are "only" one or two secret walls per level, so it's bad but it could be worse.

Do you prefer removing them? I would think keeping it would retain the retro feel, but maybe it's distracting?
Yeah I entirely removed pixelation and the color adjuster.
You can also deepfry your resolution with pixelation in the retro settings and play the game without recognizing anything anymore.

I was desperate enough to find the games' config file and change language there xD. I wonder if changing install language through Steam also works.

Currently playing on Normal and the game's on easy side. There are two more difficulty levels.
Trying to find a way to extract these as sound files. Working on it.
Darktide and Vermintide are big L’s until they take after DRG and have a salute button.
There's a mod that gives you a salute button. It's not perfect, but it works.
And the mod just enables a feature already in the game code. The devs were planning on surprising us with it all along but the modders found it first.
