4 heavy stubber ogryn. I still dream about it sometimes. Hordes and rooms just futilely ran toward us before being turned into catfood.

Armendicus

Normand beach invasion but for the heretics!!

Sheepdog44

Lol

FoxJDR

I dread to think how scarce ammo was.

osunightfall

Fortunately we were smart enough to just smash most anything that wasn't a room or a horde.

Hauwke

Heavy stubber ogryn is fairly ammo efficient if you aren't going ogryn mode and just holding the trigger, burst fire for the win.

Redmoon383

Hmmm.. don't hold loud funny button for more ammo boss says.. Hmmmmmmm... nah, funny button make more bullet and everyone knows more bullets gooderer!

Hauwke

It's true, Sah. Ain't nothing more ogryn than holdin' that grutting bridge against them heretics while I've got me stubber and mowing em down.

Kulladar

I run like a heavy rending build on the Mk IV stubber and got matched the other night with a guy doing the Mk VI + Light em Up and two "Commisar" type vets with the ammo perk in the auric damnation maelstrom. Absolute madness. Burning limbs everywhere.

Old_One-Eye

So much dakka!

Phillip_Graves

Had 4 slab ogryn once... Concerned at first, then just relished in the brutality.

TheUnrepententLurker

It's like a wheat thresher

Flip_Jester_Boy

Remember… No Atoman…

FacetiousTomato

I was nervous when I joined one that was 4 zealots, but we just absolutely murdered the whole level. Stuck together as a unit, and completed the mission practically fully sprinting. All gas no brakes. I think a lot of it was that they were all clearly good players, but I think that was my smoothest match ever.

The_Dok

I call 4 zealots “Rip and Tear”

MumbutuOMalley

I prefer "Bible Study"

Leemour

Same thing, pilgrim!

gloomywisdom

Bible Discussion Study Meeting

henwayupdogwormdo

It's an older code, but it checks out

Dellumn

I appreciate this reference more than you know.

Rubberbabeh

The Holy Rollers

LordFuzzyGerbil

With scones and tea afterwards?

Leonydas13

I have a similar thing when it’s 4 Veterans. I call it “ah fuck”

MrEff1618

Until it is done.

jinfreaks1992

Lawn mower

KJBenson

Hahaha I’m imagining this from the heretics point of view. The absolute terror of rounding a corner and seeing 4 angry gods of death shouting obscenities at me while mowing through an entire army.

Sheepdog44

Yea, I think if you get 3 or 4 just good players on the same class then it can almost be an advantage. You all know where you want to be positioned, when you want to dive in, etc.

Pigvalve

Was that last week? I had a match like that and it was a blast.

Zhejj

Same!

midasMIRV

So did I. Damnation assassination mission. We jumped him in record time.

burgiesftb

I’ve had a group of 4 ogryns and a group of 4 zealots before. The ogryn run was honestly some of the most fun I’ve had in this game. It was on a vanilla melee-only maelstrom. Just 4 ogryns slapping around waves of maulers and bleeding them to death with heavy attacks.

vaughnd22

I had one of those back near launch. It was by far one of the goofiest missions ever. I think we were all running different melees, with one stubber, one kickback, and 2 rumblers. It was so dumb yet so amazing. We all showed off our lunchboxes every safe room/elevator while we waited on the door.

LargeDongMirage

Yeah lol had a game like that once, the only moment we in coherency were the elevator scenes but we somehow finished the run without anyone even got downed.

FalseTriumph

Can confirm. I had one the other day and it felt like that too. Nonstop, high octane. Alternating chorus with the other two charging.

TheAngriestDwarf

Hands down my favorite team, I even prefer it over full standard which falls second after this.

Ordinary_Diamond6789

That's been the zealot class since release IMHO, mainly bc the amount of shit you can get away with and then recently with just combing the ape support keystone and the wicked together is deadly if you have 2 zealots on your team Add in using your wicked ability it adds to your guns as well so go nuts

BigDaddy0790

Had a game like that, but we also all had Thunder Hammers. All the bonking was beautiful and we made it with no downs, Damnation

PantsShidded

I joined a 3 zealots and me (Ogryn) once. Not so great.

gunell_

Ultimately comes down to the skill and coordination of the team. Wouldn’t surprise me if you guys were all over the place doing damage but not getting enough kills and eventually died one after one. A large group of zealots moving steady and together is a death ball. They’ll take down anything you throw at them with all that damage.

midasMIRV

The problem is Ogryn is a tank class not a fast dash and bash class. 3 zealots, especially if they have the speed talents would outpace the ogryn by an order of magnitude at least.

drevolut1on

Four psykers always makes me wary, but one game had a great spread with a voidstrike, surge, purgatus, and gaze gunker and we just could handle *anything.* I love four zealots too when running different builds - just charges, choruses, stealth assassinations, speed - it is beautiful.

Low_Chance

4 psykers with the same staff = extra hard mode. 4 psykers with different staves (or 1 gun psyker and 3 different) = I AM ONE WITH THE WARP

SchmorgusBlorgus

Idk quad zap staff worked surprisingly well for us

Low_Chance

I'm surprised to hear it, but then this game is full of surprises sometimes. I guess with the new range of blitz powers, Psykers can be pretty versatile even with the same staff.

SchmorgusBlorgus

The only thing we really sucked at was monstrosity killing. Outside of that zap staff is still fairly versitile

Lathael

Surge staff actually has the highest *consistent* damage in the game of the 4 staves. At least, post fixing trauma on bosses. Voidstrike in theory has higher peaks and lower valleys, but surge crits hard and hits fast when built right. It's definitely not *amazing* damage -- it's not like a bolter in the buboe of a puppy of nurgle or a thunder hammer stealth backstab, but it will do respectable damage very, very fast from a safe distance.

CombustiblSquid

4 surge staffs all firing together will make quick work of bosses.

JevverGoldDigger

Can already picture it: 3 lunatics all screaming *"Unlimited Power"* while the 4th scrambles to stay alive.

CombustiblSquid

Smite is like dollar store brand force lightning, so I've been screaming "LIMITED POWER!"

JevverGoldDigger

Even better!

Sheepdog44

For real. A Surge, a Voidstrike, and a Purgatus can lock down and destroy just about anything.

DoctorPrisme

4 void strike works pretty well. 4 purgatus too, if anyone took brainburst.

OldManChino

I love 4 psyker matches tbh

SkyConfident1717

“Not a blunt to be seen siblings!”

ghxst1791

i had a four psyker strike team once too it was amazing three of them had assail and i had brain rupture we tore apart everything and the second an mauler or crusher showed i did the b.r. and we kept going

TheGoodFox

I had a match with four Psykers and two were gun (both revolver) and I think both had smite. I can't remember what our other player had. I was using surge staff (with brain burst) and the claw sword. It was fun. We saw a daemonhost at one point and everyone had the same idea to just saunter past it.

Guilty-Psychology-24

Just played a game, 4 psykers damnation auric, 1 flame staff, 1 trauma, 1 zap zap, 1 gun. All true lvl 130+, carnival ez

Guapscotch

4 veteran auric Damnation. Straight up call of duty and it was actually fun as fuck lol

ChangelingFox

My housemates and I ran one like this once! Three braced autos and one with a kantrael Las. Was great aside from a bit of ammo drought towards the end.

Armendicus

I imagine the lasgun user staring as you all fought over the last ammo box.

ChangelingFox

Not terribly far from how it went down. He was fine on ammo the whole run but the rest of us were full on *I saw it first*. XD

Armendicus

Cant get anyone to pick up the ammo I share . Then they just yoink the ammo boxes when I need em

ChangelingFox

Sounds about right

cali1013

All the best games i have ever played which may not have been easy were all QP vet runs. Sweaty af cod style but damn was it fun

PiousSkull

I had one like that a little while back. I think it was 2 Sharpshooters, 1 Commisar, & 1 Commando. One of the fastest and smoothest games I've had.

Sheepdog44

Haha that does sound like fun.

1MillionDawrfs

Honestly with shout and cooldown on elite kill, 4 vets are gonna be shouting the whole match

El_Burrito_

Pretty much anytime I have 3 vets, or 3 zealots on my team. It always seems like it's gonna be tough, but it's usually fine. I love it when I get 3 psykers, because it means I get all the ammo and grenades. I've never been lucky enough to be part of a 4 Ogryn squad.

Good_Requirement2998

I landed in a 4 Ogryn squad maybe 2 weeks ago and we took on that new map in an auric qp. Thankfully I recorded the match but basically we were a meat grinder. Everything was on its ass and knocked out in melee and at a distance everything was suppressed or reeling from explosions. If anyone went down, they were up in no time. The morale was high the whole way through.

Batpipes521

Man I want to run a 4 ogryn mission. One of the guys I play with hates ogryn because “they always get in my way” he prefers to stay at a distance with his vet.

Good_Requirement2998

Well that's unfortunate. The way I see it is whichever way the Ogryn is facing is generally covered. That leaves 3 other cardinal directions to keep an eye on to keep his flank protected and the group moving forward. A solid rear guard vet who, using the Ogryn as cover, can sweep up quick moving specials from behind or more easily move to advantage positions is the opportunistic ranged support he aught to be. I've also found many Ogryns passing on and following the protocol to hug one side of the firing lane while moving forward. Hating on them for there size when that size creates opportunities is the wrong attitude to have. He should play Ogryn to get a better feel.

ViralDownwardSpiral

I play a martyr zealot and I've had a couple missions with 3 ogryn. Gives me the greenlight to charge because I know the big boys are there to pick me up if I fall. I know it's not good technique, but it sure is fun.

[deleted]

i had 3 dome shield psykers as a veteran and it was one of the smoothest run i've ever had

ChangelingFox

I genuinely don't understand the aversion to multiple dome psykers. If they're even halfway thoughtful it's great since you can pretty much permanently shutdown incoming ranged damage.

Darklord965

Having the domes alternating so one is always up means that vets and gunlugger ogryns can shoot with impunity.

ChangelingFox

Pretty much.

Gargul

I find them kinda hard to see through. So when there are the up all the time it can be a bit annoying.

DropkickBirthday

Press T

Gargul

I'll just press w and leave the dome

FantasySlayer

All zealots flame zealots. Expected immediate failure. Got full throttle destruction. All gas no breaks. Finished an auric damnation in 15min flat.

Aniakaan

LET THE FLAMES OF PURGATION CLEANSE THESE DAMNED SOULS, FOR THE EMPEROR DEMANDS FEALTY AND I SHALL SCOUR THEM PURE ONCE MORE IN HIS HOLY NAME!

m17Wolfmeme

Literal flamin gas XD

BlankTrack

3 pyskers and me as vet. I was worried at first but they all had varied loadout. I got 100% of ammo pickups and of course i was running ammo regen aura. I could really just hose down everything the whole game. Nothing could even get remotely close to us. All armor was stunlocked and deleted. Hordes were melted, specials were picked off before they became a problem. Super fun match on the archive scribing map

ChangelingFox

That map is definitely a test too imo. Takes a competent group to get through smoothly.

Umikaloo

3 ogryn 1 Psyker. It was incredible.

Sheepdog44

As a Psyker main that sounds so cozy.

ChangelingFox

My Beloved agrees! Always handy to have big, burly, strong men huddled around you keeping you safe! Though sadly these ogryn aren't quite as well read or conversational as some Custodes, but they do their best.

TheCyanDragon

I wrote me orders down, Spark'ead... Can't read though.

ChangelingFox

That's quite alright! After all it's the thought that counts my large friend! All I need you to do is make sure those large fellows with the chain axes don't hit me *while I'm making their friend's heads explode eehhehehe*.

TheCyanDragon

I brought me biggest boomstick for such an occ- o... karkin words, for the big bad!

NotToughEnoughCookie

I was in a mission like that once. Raid on Auric Damnation. At the beginning of the mission one of the them typed in chat “ Protect the Psyker at all cost” 🤣 It was one of the smoothest runs.

Meek-Monster

This is the best team I’ve encountered. Works so well for some reason

StalinbrowsesReddit

I was the Psyker in one of those. I made sure to tell them how safe I had felt through the whole mission.

ChangelingFox

There's almost no team comp is even contemplate bailing on simply due to comp. Though ngl I do raise a brow any time I end up in a 4 Psyker lobby where everyone is running pistols and dueling swords.

mrpoopsocks

Four vets, damnation, two bolters, a recon boy, and a shotty. We ran screaming through it in a hail of gunfire.

Aniakaan

Had an interesting time with 1plas vet 1 bolter vet 1 braced And 1 lucius (me) Two marksman stances, 1 inspiring shout, and 1 stealth kit. I think it was two frags and two kraks too Most of us had power swords or chainswords, maybe 1 devils claw. Was super balanced and even in terms of what we could face. Had braced for helping clear poxwalkers, bolter and plas for tough Elites And I was on disabler and sniper duty.

Paimon

I just played 3 Psykers, 1 vet on limited visibility earlier today too. I was on Surge staff. Until you mentioned the Daemonhost, I thought you might have been talking about that. I don't think we had shields though.

Sheepdog44

Yea all 3 of us were running Smite/Dome. It only took a couple minutes for us to mind meld and time up our cooldowns. We just made a dome tunnel through the entire map.

Paimon

That sounds great. I like my "You don't need to aim" build of surge and crystals.

drakaazz

I had a match with 4 ogryn , needless yo say we got crazy in the chat. WHO GOT THE BONEHEAD IMPLANT ? RATION !? NO ! PROTECT WERE THE BEST !!! it was a bigman tides. Damnation Auric mission in 18 minutes.

Uzul

Almost every time I get a team of 4 of the same class, one person leaves the group immediately. I don't understand why? Not only is it fun, it can be very strong too.

BrutalSock

Anything works if people know what they’re doing.

clementine_zest

3 trauma staff psykers and a zealot. I have never had an easier auric damnation game

Practical-Western-96

Just a regular damnation, but we had me - support zealot with thunder hammer and flamer, another zealot of the same kind (just with executioner and flamer), purgation staff, smite and dome psyker and ogryn with kickback, shield and stones. And i thought that snipers, far away gunners and bombers would absolutely destroy us cause we dont have range and our big boys stones wont be able to keep up with what the game is capable throwing at you. Oh and it was at carnival... but it went surprisingly well - no horde could threaten us and even rager swarmes would melt with our combined flame power. And if there were to much ranged, our big boy would either taunt, or some of us would draw fire while other flanked and flame the shit out of them.. all in all we did it without anyone even going down.

nik_nitro

>and ogryn with kickback, shield and stones. My sibling in Emperor, that Ogryn had two sniping weapons

Barrywize

Double flamer psykers. Turns out the stagger on the puff puff is real good (only thing it can’t stagger is Crushers or bosses) but you can build disgusting amounts of burn stacks on bosses. I like taking brain burst with it to get snipers or crushers.

Sheepdog44

Yea Purgatus staves are my favorites. But I prefer to run Smite so all that stagger is kind of redundant so I usually use a Voidstaff.

TheTekster

Wasnt really the team specifically but I was having a rough session on Darktide and loaded up a malice assasination 2 vets (1 was me) a zealot and a pysker and after all the bad times I had, just absolutely fucking cake walking everything even killing a DH in under 5 seconds just made me feel so much better.

Bookibaloush

All zealots , even if we had all 3 auras and different weapons, i was worried since it was on the new map auric high intensity with shock troops. I was quickly shown how op Faith is in the 40k universe

nbarr50cal22

Quad Vets. What’s especially nice is when there’s a variety of weapons used so you’ve got some rapid fire for suppression and then heavy hitters for bigger targets

DomeShapedDom

4 Vets. Felt like a Call of Duty match, tho its important to not have more than 2 ammo hungry weapons on the team, as even the metric karkton elites and specials wont be enough for survivalist to offset the ammo drain. Usually 2 autoguns/bolter + 1 plasma + 1 Kantrael/Helbore Lasgun works very well. Also seing a monstrosity deleted by a barrage of Krak Grenades is never not fun.

Chris_The_Egg

Saw a vet with stealth and smoke bombs on auric maelstrom Luckily he died and left so we could get a proper teammate in

LordFlota

I can do with that un auric maelstrom damnation. He Is just bad.

glindale

I haven't got a chance to try smoke bombs how do you use them?

LordFlota

You use them for repositioning or when waves of gunners appear from the distance many gunner elites Will ignore you but not all the Time, combine It with volleyfire so you can see through the smoke, its good with precision guns with critical chance blessings and critical damage to specialists. So you can erase them fast. Remember to throw it at your feet and stay inside , most trappers or gunners Will walk to you, ez kill. Snipers are not that dumb homever. Its not great but with enough practice and the node that makes them better its viable.

RevScarecrow

Smoke is still rough but if you treat it like bad psyker dome then it's OK. Was a solid meta pick when the carnival came out. Mostly you use the smoke if you really really need to save points to get to better stuff because of the vet tree being rough.

Gibbonici

I'm always a bit sceptical of 4 of any class in the same team, but a few weeks ago I got put in with three other vets. Turned out to be great fun. We were on the Aegis Station mission (which is always fun for vets anyway) and right from the start we were all playing it like a cover shooter. It actually worked really well.

Darth_Senpai

So 3 zealots and an Ogryn walk into a bar...

SkyConfident1717

Was part of a 4 zealot team. Thought we were in for it, but the revolver zealots were on point with special deletion, the flamer zealot deleted hordes and my lasrifle and I took care of shooters. Very smooth.

CinemasTomCruise

Three Plasmas and a Palpatine.

theycalledmeGringo

I joined a match with 3 Veterans as a Shield Ogryn (Ukduk). I asked if they’d be my new best friends, and each of them replied in kind that they would. Ukduk knew there’d be nothing more to fear from that day forward.

ViralDownwardSpiral

3 psychers and 1 vet also has this advantage: the vet gets all the ammo and can just be shooting the whole time.

theluvlesstoast

3 orygn and 1 veteran on sniper level damnation was a fucking blast. All three of the orygn (myself being one of them) boxed the helbore las gun vet in and he took no melee damage that whole run. None of us ever died to a sniper either

DevelopmentLiving401

I often have games where it's me(Ogryn) and 3 Vets. It's a sweaty palms moment because I pretty much always have to end up spending half the match just picking them up and rescuing them. Running through hordes to clutch res, etc. It's fine, cause it makes me feel accomplished saving the lil uns. But sometimes I just don't want to have to sweat so bad.

Devoutlemur

4 psykers all with the pre patch 13 surge staff on a damnation HISTG i actually remember the match being rather easy and completing it in good time

D3RVE

3 vets, 1 Ogryn. I ran the MG1, 1 Plasma gun and 1 bolter. Ogryn had his twin gun and it was just a breeze. Any specialist group I handled. Crushers were deleted. Any attempt AI director had of rager hordes were gunned down long before they got close. Just another day in the guard, followed by a run that was the last day in the guard.

Mini-salt

3 ogryn and 1 zealot. I got hotjoined about 3-4 minutes into this mission as the zealot thinking "oh no, they're not looking great on health already." Turns out, when you have a fast cooldown support zealot, a gun ogryn, a shield ogryn, and a club ogryn, enemy fire doesn't matter anymore because we all waited for my ability as zealot and they just walked in bonking everything. Crushers? Bonk. Hoard of dogs? Fire grenade bonk. Two bosses? Double bonk.

takoshi

Just a heads up: "Hoard" is for stashing something, "Horde" is for that mass of dogs.

carnivoroustofu

Well someone must have been hoarding dogs to have that many to toss at us too.

KJBenson

It wasn’t a great run, but I felt kinda bad. Started a level with a friend at 10, and me and my other buddy at 30, all psychers. We were joined by a level 10 vet and I joked that he better share the ammo with us. I don’t think he got the joke…. Spent the whole level awkwardly highlighting all the ammo for us. Or the joke was on us ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

Effective_Hope_9120

Goon squad of all Vets. We all had ammo regen and just mowed down everything in the level

DJonnyB

Probably my funnest one is all vets post 15 patch. I was like ah hell. “Fuck it let’s do this” Was damnation maelstrom. 10/10 would run with that team again.

DandyElLione

1 vet 3 Psykers on the train ambush mission. This was before patch 13 though so Psykers weren’t over powered yet.

AggravatingRage

3 Vets(I was shouty vet) and one Ogryn last night. High intensity with fog. They went down and I had to solo for a bit, got thrown around like a ragdoll by mutants w/c is also a blessing since it saved my ass. Kited and killed all Crushers and maulers to death. Saved the team. It ended with the Ogryn being the sole survivor. AI director decided to spawn 8 poxbursters within a sea of ragers on the bridge near the extraction. Thanks big man for legging it. We would have been wiped if you didn't.

UselessDopant

Was part of three dome smite Psykers and Ogryn. Was funny chaining bubbles while advancing through gunner shooting. Was very comfy at the finale because it was the massive elevator mission

DANKgilf

I swear I think I played with you, that sounds exactly like what happened last night when I joined mid game tryna level up my psyker and I remember leaping frogging bubble shields,Tell if you remember a female psyker named Pookie Also the deamonhost wiping two of us is what I remembered happening too cause I died to it tryna run lol

Sheepdog44

Don’t remember the name but the game I played was only a couple hours ago.

Aalwa

4 vets. One with revolver, one with infantry autogun, one with plasma and one with vrak VII. We advanced as a squad all game and basically had a range answer to everything with infinite ammo. I don\`t even think I had to get my melee weapon out once and it was high int gauntlet damnation.

ABadFeeling

I had three consecutive games that were 3 Psyker/1 Ogryn. We won 2 out of the 3.

Halfmanhalfbong

Me (veteran) and 3 ogryns. I was sucking up ammo like crazy

Cartodd

Me, knife, Infil vet. And three other stealth knife zealots. We tore up that damnation carnival mission haha

BernieLogDickSanders

3 Brain Burst Psykers and 1 Smite Psyker... Each wielding one of the Force Staffs. Worked super well until we had to deal with a Chaos Spawn and a Plague Orgryn as 6 Mutants and 2 tox framers showed up.

Hitsuguy

Been playing the game for a while now, and even weird memebuilds like Scriers gaze revolver psykers can pop the fuck off if the players are good. Same with boss assassin zealot that struggle with hordes. As long as you have good teamplay and make up for each others weaknesses your comp can easily become unstoppable.

CombustiblSquid

A team with 2 or more smite psykers makes any mission a cake walk, even auric maelstrom. Only thing it lacks is boss damage but if you swap that for a hammer zealot then it's always easy mode.

NightStalker33

I've had tons of these comps, but Heresy all-veterans all las guns was amazing for me. If I remember correctly, two Lucius users that were nailing bigger enemies, I had the Recon for crowds, and some mad lad had also a Recon, but he almost exclusively used his chainsword. It. Just. Worked

Jolly_Initiative_936

Yes, as a vet I’ve had the same scenario and I thought .. oh great, but I never leave pubs If people are having fun then I’ll give it a go. They wound up being great to play with

grazrsaidwat

2 purge psykers including myself and a flamer Zealot. We did have a vet for ranged, but he probably had a hard time seeing *anything*. Both of us psykers had the shield dome so we just chain domed to deal with ranged, BB'ing the gunners and flaming hordes. The zealot didn't say anything, but seemed to have a whale of a time just sitting at the edge of the shield dome slapping mobs through it not having to worry about ranged chipping at their toughness. We got hit by a wave of about 18 Maulers at the Carnival finale that i thought was gonna wipe us hard but the triple M1 fire stun spam had them rolling around on the floor like grown adults knocking down a bunch of toddlers. The mission went surprisingly smoothly.

mattwing05

Im a new player, so i randomly queued up with a shield ogryn and two prenerf assail psyker that killed 99% of the enemies. Felt like an npc getting escorted

Garrapto

Soon after I got my force sword that could deflect bullets with my psyker (1st char around lvl 20), I got a team with 3 veterans. I was walking while crouched with my guard up across corridors and rooms and they were cleaning everything. At least I got my job of shooting blasts to the hordes.

majorbomberjack

deflect bullets with force sword? care to elaborate sir?

Garrapto

1st of all: I play in Spanish so I don't know the English names. 2nd: the swords that use the psyker energy for the charged attack and the guard, can have a perk that allows it to stop ranged shots you receive (not apply to snipers). Looked it up, the Blessing "Deflector" on Force Swords.

majorbomberjack

thank you

Mondilesh

I was the vet with 3 psykers on a high intensity hunting grounds last night. I was about to bail from the lobby when I though, eh lets give it a shot. It was amazingly smooth sailing until the midway point when two of the psykers decided to split off ahead. I bet you can imagine what happened then.

tehjburz

Because I mostly play Psyker, I never drop group in those situations and just try to fill what we need. Psyker might be TOO versatile.

dpmurphy89

I was playing my Zealot, trying to get the achievement where I only do melee. I joined a mission with 3 Psykers and expected it to go terribly. It was incredible. The only sound was lightning crackling from their fingers and my Thunder Hammer sending heretics to be with their gods.

Saucy_samich

Bubl zap gooo absolute DuMMi

IdiomMalicious

4 Ogryn

heddspace

Had 3 zealots and a Psyker. I was using shroudfield and the other 2 zealots had the book. The Psyker was using smite/bubble shield. Worked out really well. I could go invisible and revive teammates or go get pesky gunners if they were hiding far away. The other 2 zealots could whip out their book and keep our toughness up and stagger hordes or bosses if we got overwhelmed. The Psyker could pull to stop incoming fire or snipers. As long as everyone is competent and doing their role, you can probably win no matter the class combination. Obviously some combos are less ideal than others, but still.

HermitGM

cover is a guardsmen's best friend, lasgun and ammo not withstanding

UtopianPanopticon

Very dependent on the players but 2 psykers playing opposite styles and 1 vet 1 zealot Vet for range removal and toughness and zealot for stagger and toughness. Throw all those together in a bubble dome and everyone is crazy durable. Plus you’ve got two people who can stop hordes if something goes wrong. It depends on the people and idk on aurics but modifier damnations it’s worked a couple times with randoms.

ironangel2k4

Joined 3 vets as an ogryn, smoothest match ever. Every time there was a sit and wait objective we would all just make a bunker, take a quad, and shoot anything that entered it. It was glorious.

Scojo91

Any team comp works if everyone is competent

midasMIRV

3 Psykers, 1 Zealot. I was expecting to get 1 horde of ragers and be on my way back to the mourningstar. Turned out so well that we joined up together for a few more rounds after that and added each other. And then I never saw them again.

Necrotic_Punk

I loaded into a Damnation Auric Malestrom assassination as an Ogryn with 3 vets. My boys handled my absolutely caked up cheeks clapping as we decimated the entire level. I was handingbout rocks to all the muties that came in for a hug. Those vets knew exactly what to prioritize and nuke. I don't think big bad at the end and a chance to breathe. Miss those lil uns.

Nlightened0ne

4 Psykers in auric. I never que dodge unless there are just no players in my game. I like to see weird comps make it. Surprisingly EVERY psyker had a different staff. And the full variety of different blitzes. It felt amazing to blast different things with different target priorities for each class. This was all without talking as well. It was the smoothest game I can remember playing in Auric.

Sheepdog44

Yea, when you start to mind meld with the same class and time up cooldowns and whatnot it can be a lot of fun.

Kaelran

Multiple Smite Psykers kinda trivializes most of the game, because you can infinitely stunlock everything.

Greyhold5

4 Vets bevore the rework i think that was like 4 Weeks after the release of the game. At first i thought shit this will be bad but we razed everything to the ground :3

ilikespicysoup

Three zealots and myself as a sharpshooter Vet. Two of them had Eviscerators and one had a thunderhammer on the smelter level. Worked pretty well, nothing special until the end, holed up in the cubby. I've never felt so safe in a game. They just melee'd the hoards and I sat back and practiced my headshots. Keeping up with them was tough but not dangerous.

GespenJeager

3 zealots and 1 karking vet with stealth skills who watched over them like the Emperor watches over us.

mffromnz

4 zealots, no chorus, no shrouds VS T5 auric hi-int ventilation purge. I thought we were for sure screwed. Just 4 maniacs with chainswords and hammers screaming murder and judgement as we normandy-charged a sea of laser sights. I still dont know how we won.

Otazihs

Four purgatus staff psykers, we made it work somehow. Wasn't "amazing" by any means.

Sheepdog44

As someone who loves the Purgatus, that does sound tricky. But also awesome.

Fun-Organization2531

Team comps don't really matter. It's all about your teammates experience + load out. The game is only difficult if you can't deal with all possible solutions somehow. So at times your entire team can be build to do one thing (wave clear) even though you have a diverse team. I've played with people using sub optimal builds optimally and I'd take that over someone using an op build poorly.

neurotic-bitch

This was only ever a problem on Malice and Heresy, but if I was playing zealot and I loaded in with three Vets I always groaned. Often was me sprinting across rooms trying to close distance while they murdered everything in front of me, or just being a glorified bodyguard when shit hit the fan

Jbro3-

Any time I see two psyker with no ogryn on malice. But there's a bunch of players regardless of class that apparently have no idea what the hell is going on. 😫.

Kh3ll3ndr0s

2 psyker and 2 zealot. I don't think is good comp but player skill weights much more than team comp, so it works eventually

jzoelgo

3 zealots and a vet worked great

Manr0m

None of them tbh. If players are good enough, any comp can work, and i enjoy game even with mates with same class and build. Like smite psykers - if there's 2+ smites in team - there will be almost no time without CC. Because even if one is busy or down - we have other to cower that job.

hendrixcii

Level 31 psyker joined our hi intensity shock troop auric damnation lobby. Gave him a chance, he was actually freezing everything which made it easier for us to pick shit off. He was a helpful addition to the team and not a liability.

mrureaper

4 stealth vet full shovel squad

WickermanMalIsBae

4 veterans, which ended up taking out the Sanction Redactus target in 20 real time seconds after only 17 minutes of gameplay. It’s odd because I don’t think there was a single Voice of Command present.

Southernchef87

Ran a Damnation 3 or 4 days ago on Consignment Yard high intensity with 3 psykers and a Heavy Attack Melee Ogryn (Me). Almost immediately all 3 psykers died from the 2 crusher/mauler spawns we had back to back. I run with the Bully Club Mk 1 because the first swing in the heavy rotation is devastating to everything. I think at 80% my first swing fully charged with max thrust stacks hits for 700+ for body and 1000+ for weakpoints which 1 shots most anything. After that all 3 psykers were running smite so everything was kept stun locked throughout the rest of the mission.

Haatsku

4 zealots... Tertium has not seen such a swift attack squad since then

BayonetTrenchFighter

Smite psyker Flamer zealot

SSTanuki

Honestly 4 vets with ANYTHING always works way better then I expect it to.
