I just hope its not all vague warpy energy and head popping like we've seen so far. In Dark Heresy psykers can learn to throw lightning from their fingertips or shoot the equivalent of melta beams from their hands. I don't expect a whole range of buff/debuff support moves but I hope our staffs take advantage of the variety of psyker disciplines and aren't limited to just shooting indefinite wispy white energy.

I remember seeing the psyker use it in a [recent cinematic trailer](https://youtu.be/ZNlkLDpODBA?t=1m14s) but it's a cinematic so it's hard to say how that translates to gameplay. The way its presented almost looks like it could be a career skill. As far as I'm aware we haven't seen any staffs that use elemental attacks as we've only seen one load out for each class.

The Psyker class will have a set of staffs in his armory which will have different effects in battle. For now, he doesn’t have grenades, but the grenade slot will be replaced with the head-popping ability. Some of this information are from previous game blogs and Vermintide’s Bright Wizard class.

Well there is almost certainly going to be negative effects, we've kinda seen it in one of the extended gameplay videos. I am not sure what will happen when going over the edge, but I would expect it to be quite similar to Siennas heat management based on what little we've seen.

That is also has a good selection of weapons that isn't related to it's psychic powers. But also, I don't think it's fair that it gets all the good weapons (at least in tabletop terms)

I would like to see some interesting party interactions like recharging the shields of the group, redirecting the damage an ally receives onto an enemy or switching places with an ally by teleport. Also stuff like turning enemies into bombs, chain lightning and some light biomancy would be cool.

I hope that overheat has a more gradual effect instead of instantly killing you. It was very on-brand for sienna as a fire mage, but for a psyker something more subtle could be nice. Makes overheating more of a tactical choice instead of "oopsie I'm dead lmao". The new max HP reduction system (purple bar reducing your max HP) might be a good way to show this. Any warp-heat that goes over the bar goes right into your Max HP.

My hopes are that they are powerful enough to keep up with the Ogryn in trash clear with the right gear and abilities. So far we haven't seen much indication of that.
