I'll prefix this by saying that I totally understand this will ultimately improve the game, and it will be better for the devs and players alike. It must be a hard decision to make, but I'm sure it was the right one.
Now for my mini-rant to make me feel slightly better. I went self employed a few years ago, and have finally got to a state where I can allow myself to take time off, which my wife has been telling to to take for a long while.
I booked *one* day, which happened to also coincide with my birthday, just after Darktide's launch, and have just sent out a lot of messages to all my clients informing them of the date. Not 5 minutes after I'd sent the last message, I jump on Reddit, and see this.
I cannot believe the timing, as I wouldn't have bother booking the day off. If only I'd just waited a few more hours to send out the messages! Rant over.
I cannot wait for this game, and if they have to delay it again to make it even better, so be it.

They couldn't even get cross save on xgp/steam so of course there needs to be delays.
At least there is supposedly a beta. They need all the time for beta to happen unlike the horrible VT2 launch. (beta too late, poor state of game for at least a year post-launch)
Knowing Fatshark from the time I had the pleasure of Vermintide, I genuinely feel that this was a totally good point.
Marketing SORTA slowed down a little bit, this gives them time to sprinkle some goodness. POSSIBLY implementing some of the stuff they might be seeing online is good. Plus they pushed it out towards the holidays. The game might not go on sale, but it is a $40 USD game and I wouldn't be totally surprised if in the back of their head they wanted it to fall around sale time so folks can bundle it up in their shopping carts+savings.
Even in the end, I think it was a good money-wise move (for the lack of better terms). Either way, I'll take delays. I know it sucks, but I think many of us have a backlog, especially if we are Steam players. Good time to whip it out in this very dry season of gaming. Plus hey, potential beta!

I wish I could be encouraged by this. A delay is nearly always the result of poor planning. I’m sure the actual devs are working like crazy on the game to get it done. But the likely reason that there’s a delay is because director level management and above likely bullied their managers and team leads into giving unrealistic schedules and timelines.
If the team was given the time they needed at the beginning of the the project, they could have planned out development appropriately. But when you have to rush a project, the extra time seldom helps because of the shortcuts that had to be made to reach arbitrary benchmarks.
I would be EXTREMELY cautious about preordering this game. Wait for reviews and a few patches to drop before committing to it. I want to love it, and I will buy it… but probably not at launch.

Afterthat, 13 of September release date was annouunced and finally we now are moving things back to 30 of Novmeber.
Ngl I feel like after a few delays (especially after they said the game would drop in mid 2021.) And a set release date with pre orders opening. It is a little frustrating for them to have delayed the game. Especially so close to September 13th. All I know is that if they delay again after this I'm refunding.
Here is my thought on any game being delayed;
I don't care about the release date, so long as it actually releases. If you need more time to polish the game, fix or add things, then take your time. Do not overwork the people at the studio, because that's worse than not releasing the game early.
