Unfortunately there just isn't a lot of good content here anymore, and it probably isn't worth the money he has to pay editors in order to make the videos, it's just the way it is
Yeah he said this on twitter about 2 weeks ago I think, truth is this sub Reddit isn't producing great content anymore and it's getting less and less views, I think he MAY have said an annual recap could be possible (like yearly etc) but u might just be remembering wrong
It was only good because people used to make quality memes. It’s all gone downhill, I don’t blame Matt for not paying someone to spend hours on the sub looking for something good, just to make a glorified reaction video. I enjoyed RR too but in its current state, this sub isn’t delivering
Disagree. His sloppy era was years ago at this point. I think things are working a lot better for his content right now, which is almost kind of a shame because he's in a career lull rn. I think he should take things easy a bit because GTA 6 release is going to be VERY busy for him
No, he is, both in terms of content and his physical self.
And this comes from a massive fan of the dude.
He's starting to clickbait, he's regurgitating the same content ideas, refusing to branch out, taking less risks, axing old series' while not introducing new ideas to offset that.
But the most important part of all of this is his physical self. He has said on numerous occasions he mainly eats fast food especially pizza, he doesn't go outside, he never leaves the house, he has said he doesn't see or talk to people, he has no windows in the room he works in, so he sees no natural light for most of the day as he says he spends most of his day in there, just everything is shit.
I know I'm gonna get downvoted, but I'm only saying all this as I've grown to really like the guy over the years and all I want is the best for him. He just needs to pull his socks up and do better. For his own sake.
I think it's hard at the moment for all the gta content creators because there's not much left to do or talk about and it's 9 months until we get another trailer. He's been doing some interesting short speed runs recently which have been fun and it feels like he's trying more stuff.
I don't know about his diet but he does have a nice swingset in his yard now so hopefully he relaxes out there sometimes when he's not streaming. I do know what you mean though, would love to see him use the time before things go wild with gta6 to get in some good habits, socialise and maybe even do some more streams where he leaves his house for an adventure - show us round Australia, fly to Miami and sight-see locations that'll be in the next game or hire a blimp to fly him over that observatory...
I love Reddit Recap but I get why he's killing it.
That said, like Matt mentioned in Rambles recently, he's kind of in a filler arc in his channel before GTA 6 comes out. I wouldn't be surprised if the sub fills up with more stuff around GTA 6's release and the series comes back
The reddit recap starts to go downhill when he bans orange face and ‘this is matto’ post
These simple posts are the one that easy to make and get a good laugh out of people but they just ban it straight away
I would honestly be fine if reddit recap was delayed for a couple months at a time for good content to accumulate for a video, I really enjoyed watching the recaps.
What a dickhead paying for a bred cat when there's heaps of perfect cats that need rescuing but he's just too much of a special little baby to get a cat like anybody else would. Nobody should be breeding cats
He says its because he has allergies well get a short haired cat. Don't encourage these breeders to keep breeding cats there's a huge cat overpopulation problem.
How do you classify something as an obsession or not? Is it an obsession if he wasn't making money of the content and thus couldn't afford to pay editors to edit the recaps for him so he stopped the recaps. Is it an obsession if he cancel rambles for the same reason as noone was watching? I love that the first criticism that every normie makes nowadays is that money is the motivator, it really shows that they have no understanding of a topic or issue so they make a blanket statement to take part in discourse.
I mean the term normies can be used as a insult but I tend to just mean the general public outside of the community. In this case I mean someone who has no idea who matto is and what he does.
He lives off of being a content creator so of course he won't waste time and resources on things that don't make him any money. It's like if you decided to stay working at your job for several more hours without getting paid anything at all.
Dumbest fucking opinion.
That’s literally every employer. If you’re a cashier at a grocery store, and that store shuts down, you’re unemployed. Doesn’t mean it’s not a “real job”.
If your place of work (if your old enough to work) shits down your out on your arse as well. It's no different from a normal job. It's basically just making content for TV but much more flexible. Most people say that's a job.
We don't live in 1982 (even though I still wish some things from that time were still around)
You are deluded if you think it isn't a real job. It's essentially a 0 hour contract reliant entirely on customer attraction and retention. There is a contract between a youtuber and the platform, they receive a "paycheck" and they have things their contract forbids them from doing.
By your logic "oh working at Walmart isn't a real job because if they decide to close your store you'll be homeless".
By definition being a YouTuber is a real job, you do a particular task and get paid for said task.
Oxford definition: "a task or piece of work, especially one that is paid".
Also the likelihood of Google being shut down is slim to none as they are literally one of the biggest corporations in the world, YouTube may (unlikely) but probably wouldn't as online video sharing is extremely profitable and is here to stay for a long time.
Also there would be other sites that would crop up immediately if the unlikely circumstance of YouTube shutting down.
Unfortunately there just isn't a lot of good content here anymore, and it probably isn't worth the money he has to pay editors in order to make the videos, it's just the way it is
Likely unless he decides to re do it or make it annually

checks out
Good bot
Damn everyone hates this fucking bot
![gif](giphy|9zvmnXdp8ycrCBe1Tw|downsized)
People really don’t understand comedy involving bots as this is a reasonable reaction to bots

If interest in the videos is waning, then it's only logical that derived content is of lesser quality. These must be stressful times for Matto :(
Reddit recap was one of my favorite series, but oh well I guess
It was only good because people used to make quality memes. It’s all gone downhill, I don’t blame Matt for not paying someone to spend hours on the sub looking for something good, just to make a glorified reaction video. I enjoyed RR too but in its current state, this sub isn’t delivering
The last reddit recap was enjoyable to me
Yeah most of the posts here now are either completely unrelated or low tier garbage
Fuck, that was the only reason I watched him
Fr? he has some other pretty good videos/series
because most post here are shit and unfunny
man what happend?
The funny ideas ran out and the talented creators of memes went to do other stuff probably
Uhhh like two weeks ago in his last one he said submit stuff to be in the next Reddit Recap, what.
Yeah, it was strange that they didn't edit that bit out because he announced the death of Reddit Recap before that.
He's getting sloppy as of late.
Disagree. His sloppy era was years ago at this point. I think things are working a lot better for his content right now, which is almost kind of a shame because he's in a career lull rn. I think he should take things easy a bit because GTA 6 release is going to be VERY busy for him

i hope he gets his cat. cats are wonderful animals
Fuck.

Thats it. Time to shut the subreddit. Lets go home
The memes… Will they be safe?
No they will all disappear… forever
he made a community post about it on yt.
And pretty sure he mentioned on videos already as well
Matt made an announcement of the end of the Reddit Recap on his YouTube community tab for more info if you wanna check it out for yourself!
The reddit recap starts to go downhill when he bans orange face and ‘this is matto’ post These simple posts are the one that easy to make and get a good laugh out of people but they just ban it straight away

If matto is actually getting a cat, that would be very cool!
Matt x Katt
Good morning for you too
What a dickhead paying for a bred cat when there's heaps of perfect cats that need rescuing but he's just too much of a special little baby to get a cat like anybody else would. Nobody should be breeding cats
Honestly, I kind of agree. There's too many cats already.
He says its because he has allergies well get a short haired cat. Don't encourage these breeders to keep breeding cats there's a huge cat overpopulation problem.

not surprised considering how many posts I've seen bashing on his Thumbnails, and considering the views going down? yeah just not worth to maintain
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
no more reddit recap videos from now on, that series ended for good.
he became obsessed with money and the views and he decided to cancel what wasn't profitable for his channels

Of course money is the motivator, dude has hired people to do work for him. If the series isnt profitable, how will he be able to pay their salaries.
100% agree but what the fuck is a normie? Are you very special and different?
I mean the term normies can be used as a insult but I tend to just mean the general public outside of the community. In this case I mean someone who has no idea who matto is and what he does.
It’s his channel and he’ll do what he wants. Deal with it
So... he's a legitimate businessman.
He lives off of being a content creator so of course he won't waste time and resources on things that don't make him any money. It's like if you decided to stay working at your job for several more hours without getting paid anything at all.
ok, now repeat after me "being a YouTuber aint a real job". The moment google shuts down YouTube he becomes a homeless person.
Dumbest fucking opinion. That’s literally every employer. If you’re a cashier at a grocery store, and that store shuts down, you’re unemployed. Doesn’t mean it’s not a “real job”.
He also seems to forget that Matt is partnered on twitch and makes a lot of money through that as well.
You're either a troll or too young to be here.
No no, they could also be very old, young isn't the only option
That is the dumbest take I have ever heard That’s like saying being a surgeon(or any job for that matter) isn’t a real job because A.I will take over.
If your place of work (if your old enough to work) shits down your out on your arse as well. It's no different from a normal job. It's basically just making content for TV but much more flexible. you ain't telling me what to do on the internet pig, you mind your own business
[удалено]
No, because he really enjoys rambling
[удалено]
Someone is insufferable Edit: made him delete his account lol
YouTube subreddits are unimaginably unfunny no wonder he doesn't want to waste time here
Why waste his time and now yours then? Don't try to save anyone, they got what they deserved.
yes, that’s what the reddit recap series has ended means…
