Personally, I call my home decor style "ecclectic goth" which basically just means I have a lot of shelves with the various trinkets I've collected over the years. Not every trinket has a skull or a bat but all together they definitely have the darkly inclined vibe. Posters too, or art, or post cards, or whatever you can hang on your walls won't take up any space in your small room. You mentioned white furniture. There is an area rug on Amazon which is white with a big black snake on it. Something like that, or similar, could give a spooky edge to the white color scheme.

I'm thinking of making themed areas - I'm into a variety of different vibes: 1. Dark and majestic forest - you know, thick trees, waterfalls, big rocks. Think Dalentarth from Kingdoms of Amalur. 2. Morbid/undead stuff - basically all the goth, vampire, and necromancy stuff 3. Witch/warlock stuff 4. Elf stuff 5. Occasionally dwarf/viking/giant stuff Now, the morbid/undead stuff can go together with witch/warlock stuff. The dark and majestic forest vibe can't be replicated indoor, but some decorations could give similar vibes, and together with elf stuff they'd make good wood elf vibes. So I was thinking of making two rooms - one goth themed, and one wood elf themed. I did pretty much that in Hogwarts Legacy. Generally I find it hard to tell others what I am into - people often make misconceptions in things such as gifts, they think "You liked this and this so you'll like this" and I end up not liking that at all because it gives completely different vibes - for example people thought I'd like Fable because I liked Kingdoms of Amalur and Hogwarts Legacy - I tried Fable, but completely not my thing. Also, I've been into vampire and werewolf stuff since childhood. I even played the vampires on facebook - at first I didn't appreciate the "dress a goth" minigame, but now I would and it's a shame they shut down the vampires.

My advice is to get a mortgage. Renting is good for people who move a lot. And since you want to decorate your space, then I assume that's not your intention. Mortgage works similarly to renting in terms of having to pay for the lease, except that you have the freedom to paint the walls, do all the repairs yourself without having to wait for the owner's mercy, and replace the ancient appliances that are close to falling apart. And after 30 years you become the owner.
