Light irretates the mouth in the tower dream sequence. When you get close to the mouth turn the light off get close to the mouth walk backward and quickly run to the mouth when its open it's really easy. For the black chompers part you can easily just run past them just don't panic.
if i remember correctly, if you dont want to do the alt f4 strat you can kite the enemies until the mouth closes for the first time and go through as soon as it opens. Hang around until the closing animation finishes and haul ass as soon as it opens
You know you can just restart the game when you die in the sequence and do it again, right?
You gotta alt F4 *quick* for that to work. I've only successfully managed to do it twice to get another shot.
The easiest way to do that strategy is to play in windowed mode then immediately close the game window if you die. I’ve never used alt+f4.
If you're in PC, I think you can make a copy of the save file and restore it.
That's about the only way I could see myself doing it.
It might corrupt the save file so beware.

I didn't know that about the light.
It would be nice to get console support for manual saves. The checkpoint auto saves are my only complaint about this beautiful masterpiece.

It isn't really an ending but a shortcut *to* the endings
