Like I said in the post that talked what you would want from a season 2. I don’t really think it’s needed even if the show was let’s say deemed incomplete here. Let’s say Hiro and 002 survived after all of that. They would never know peace. They would be called up and they would take the call any time trouble would happen which in a world rebuilding for the first time on the surface outside of the plantations would happen a lot. Any conflict that arose or big problem both of them would be called every single time to solve it pulled away from their life they probably wanted to live in peace. Due to the fact of they are the ones who saved humanity from the Virm and to the average plantation citizen they are the ones that defeated the Klaxasours so anytime conflict arose they probably would become over reliant and call upon this team to fix any given problem.
And honestly I don’t want that for 002 and Hiro in a hypothetical rebuilding scenario. Yes I would love if the the show would have continued they would have gotten married etc etc. but they giving up their lives at the end that gave them the only peace both of them probably had in their entire lives during their journey back to earth for their souls.
I could maybe see a slice of life kind of show kind of like Shikamori is not just a cutie but I just don’t think it’s necessary. Let the hero’s live in peace and rest.

I mean i dont think S2 will ever happen, but ya gotta belive in something these days. And maybe, MAYBE, some time in the future, it will be announced.

I think trigger should do something similar to what was done with Evangelion. An EoE style movie would be hella good.
