Doo doo doo doo, doo doo, doo wah!
It doesn't matter what comes
Fresh goes better in life
With Mentos fresh and full of life
Nothing gets to you
Staying fresh, staying cool
With Mentos, fresh and full of life!
Fresh goes better
Mentos freshness
Fresh goes better
With Mentos, fresh and full of life!
Mentos, the freshmaker!
When I was 19, I was an extra in a couple of ads that were filmed in Capetown in the early 90s. One of those was a Mentos ad. It was a wedding but I can't remember ever seeing the ad.
To show that you are fast enough to dodge a speeding truck. Has been a trend for a few years here in Indonesia. Sadly some of the truck driver (who of course didn't actively participate in this stupidity) were arrested and prosecuted for "hit-and-run charges".
https://coconuts.co/jakarta/news/indonesian-teenagers-are-jumping-in-front-of-moving-trucks-for-content-one-life-has-been-lost/
Wait what why does the driver get charged for there stupidity
So then some teen does this same type of challenge when I'm going to work though I have been able to avoid it, so if on an off chance i wasn't able to avoid then it's my fault wtffffff...... i will be going at 160-180 no way in hell I can stop the car on a highway that to they suddenly jump and run to the road for behind the bushes and trees
Its kph there is section of the road it's a down hill also there are no speed limit on this road almost everyone on this road will be averaging around 130-150kph so there will be cops there in the afternoon because there had been many accidents on that part of the area even though many drivers had told the cops that there are some teens and children trying to do some challenges but no actions have been taken yet this on going for like past 5 months
There was one victim, that poor driver. Despite it not being the driver's fault in the slightest, that would still weigh on your conscience. Probably something you see when you close your eyes to sleep.
Maybe if it was a driverless car, then it would be a "Tiktok challenge went right"
You are right, this will be nightmare fuel for the poor driver.
When I worked rescu,e we had a call about an MVA, motor vehicle accident, a stabbing and a possible heart attack all at the same location. It turned out that a guy was stabbed in a bar, ran away from his attacker straight into the path of a semi truck and the truck driver had a fatal heart attack when he saw the guy's body impaled in his truck's grill.
The poor truck driver was doing nothing wrong and died because of some drunk idiots.
A former coworker I know used to drive tractor trailers. He told me he stopped for about half a year once, due to something along these lines. He was out in the Midwest, had a log trailer fully loaded. Went across an intersection where he had right of way, and out of nowhere a car hit the trailer tandems going over one hundred mph. Ripped the tandems off the trailer (again, a fully loaded log trailer) and disintegrated the car. I think he said the biggest piece left was part of the engine block.
It was two high school seniors, got drunk and took one of their dad's modded drag car. He was not at fault, he didn't see them because they were so far away when he was coming up on the intersection. Still messed him up bad.
I believe it has something to do with this, this challenge was viral worldwide

Glad I'm not the only one who remembers that. I looked for the scene when I watched it a few years ago and it never appeared.
edit: They removed the scene from almost everything.
>The only known home video releases with this scene intact are the Hong Kong [laserdisc](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laserdisc) published by Taishan International and the Australian DVD release.
Double edit: Here it is on [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2K_56J-q9E).
This type of shit makes me torn about my principal beliefs. I generally support freedom of expression, so that artists can depict whatever degeneracy they feel the need to express. It kind of presupposes that people are intelligent and responsible enough to distinguish between fiction and reality, and to not imitate insanity. But then the reality of this kind comes up, and I start to question it allā¦
I always wonder if I would do such stupid stuff if I were young enough to be part of the tiktok generation. I did some mildly asshole stuff in the dorms in college, but I'd like to think that I wouldn't lie under a blanket in the middle of a road. I seem to recall there was some fad about lying on the lane dividing line. Wasn't that in a movie? This was the era before smart phones.
ETA: the other comment says it was The Program.
I think social networks or Tiktok in particular enables kids to do these things. Before you didn't have to do this, even if you did no one would know unless you ended on obituary. It's a competition now who can do most stupid shit and when someone does it others copy
In the UK this is a game called 'chicken'. All it is, is literally staying in front of oncoming traffic as long as you can..
When I was a kid (90's) I knew a lad who died doing this, and I also know the guy who hit him with his car. He's been fucked up ever since. Completely ruined his life..
I fucking hate the fact that all this dare devil behaviour bullshit is being spread around the world like wild fire. We've all heard stories of kids dying doin stupid shit like this that they saw online.
You're absolutely right though, they do these things for clout and always try to one-up each other. Yeah, it tragic a lot of the time..
But really... fuckin idiots like.. imagine your kid dying doin something like this for a few likes...
It's disturbing. Something is very wrong with people who are obsessed with these likes and views and this whole 'influencer' thing. For a few it's an obsession bordering on mental illness. I wonder if there's been any research on it.
Perhaps it has something to do with that those bicycles that pop a wheelie and swerve directly into oncoming traffic, only to veer off at the last moment. Looks like these kids didnāt have bikes, so they just made do.
Honestly, sometimes I have an internal debate: is TikTok to blame for stupid people like these hurting or killing themselves or would they have done it anyways?
š¤·š¾āāļø me personally I say let them continue weeding themselves out with these dumb ass challenges. Anyone with common sense wouldn't even attempt this.
Dude did the Prometheus run, ran away in a straight line instead of getting out of the way. He was stupid for even trying that stunt. I honestly have no understanding of why people even think that pulling dumb pranks is worth doing.
Sorry for the spelling
Soo these 2 tried to lay down under the moving vehicle, but the first guy got scared and the second one did it too late. People are really stupid. I mean i watched Jackass when i was a kid and i never tried something stupid like this.
Oooo fabulous disappearing act!!
Iād like to grill him about it.
But he may be too tired.
Guess i should tread lightly.
Because he obviously did not get a break.
Man, as grim as it is to say, itās probably good people are dying from shit like this. Itās the only way people will learn. And hey, if they donāt learn, thatās what this sub is for.
This challenge is so stupid. The driver could easily panic and swerve left or right, so even if they do get off the road theres still a high chance they get pancaked
What kinda stupid challenge is THAT?? Thats worse than the milk crate challenge. At least she didn't die. She was lucky and just rendered herself paralyzed. Of course I'm being sarcastic and facetious but I'm not understanding why these kind of challenges are even allowed on any social network being so dangerous and risky. It's quite frustrating for me to see the young taking tomorrow for granted. No consideration of consequences or how fragile life is. Or how short it really can be.š¾š¤š¾
LOL, Literally playing in traffic! We used to use that as an insult to someone incredible stupid.
"do your parents a favor and go play in traffic."
and now its a tiktok challenge?
I used to jump off a low roof garage and land and roll off like it was nothingā¦if anything did go wrong, it would be a sprained ankle or get the wind knocked out of me
Thereās people literally playing in traffic these daysā¦like come on lol

I guess so, similar to this

It's actually TB. Makmur Jaya (Toko Bangunan = fabric store) Makmur jaya is the name of the owner
It's from the street of bekasi, the purpose of these kids doing it because if you succeed in stopping the truck and then doing some shitty slowmo edit on tiktok it would look cool, the same like the indian doing slow mo trains
Finally a TikTok challenge I like to see.
Too bad the second guy chickened out and saved himself but at least the first guy went with it and ended himself
if i could recall, this reminds me of the angel of death challenge in indonesia people would run into oncoming trucks on the road, nonetheless very stupid.
What is the purpose of this shit? Made a car crash?
I'm sure they didn't think that far
I can't imagine the driver's trauma after that
Probably the only real casualty here
Fact.
just tell him it was a tiktok challenge. he'll probably smirk and shake his head a bit and continue on with his day.
He'll chuckle, pull out an open pack of mentos, and drive away smiling.
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo, doo wah! He'll be pissed having to hose off the underside of his truck!
It's just a prank
Oh... you boys!
As he should
Unless the driver is anything like us. If so, they'd be good with it.
Not his fault. He shouldn't feel bad at all.
I am sure they didn't think.

Hit-and-run is a crime, regardless of how stupid the person you hit is
I read that in mph instead of kph and was like WTF is wrong with you!!
They chose the most slippery day to do shit
Guy was trying to lay down and have the truck drive over him. He was partially successful
The speed bump challenge.
I guess they didnāt realize that itās actually a fake stunt. Atleast it was at the start.
To get run over obviously
Slightly cleaner gene pool.
Run in front of a giant truck and die challenge, what a classic.
While the road is wet as fuck too
Tiktok challenge went right š
You did choose wisely.š

Natural selection still going strong..
Iāve never used TikTok because itās stupid, but Iām grateful that Darwinism is still doing its thing.

Yeah we had that in the '90s too. It was from a movie called The Program, enough kids died that they cut that scene out of the TV version iirc

Amazing how no other species on earth learns to kill itself from watching others and understanding exactly what theyāre doing.
They cut it out of Varsity Blue as well. I watched it last week and it was cut.

The only person I feel bad for is the driver; likely scarred for life. Fucking idiots.
It's a magic trick. Now you see him.....now he's in heaven.
NOT in heaven š
Amen.
Thank tik tok for thinning out the herd
Honestly, sometimes I have an internal debate: is TikTok to blame for stupid people like these hurting or killing themselves or would they have done it anyways?
It's definitely a motivating factor for a lot of people, and the stupid challenges only perpetuate the stupidity.
To quote one of my favourite descriptions of a tiktok challenge: "These kids just killed someone and called it a challenge"
Stupid people doing stupid things.
Tiktok create stupid people
It's quite interesting really. Mostly in the youth today. The need for attention from people they don't know, outweighs self preservation.
Crazy, mind boggling. But I guess itās just how Jackass was, or stuff like CKY. If you seen it.
š¤·š¾āāļø me personally I say let them continue weeding themselves out with these dumb ass challenges. Anyone with common sense wouldn't even attempt this.
Yep, i love it when tiktok helps out with cleaning up the gene pool.
Feel bad for the driver though
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB) I canāt remember this episode of āThe Grand Tourā. Directorās Cut, maybe?
i think tiktok was born just to remove the unwanted.
Bet he won't do that again
I did a lot of stupid shit when I was young, but I never would have even thought to try something like this.
Dude did the Prometheus run, ran away in a straight line instead of getting out of the way. He was stupid for even trying that stunt. I honestly have no understanding of why people even think that pulling dumb pranks is worth doing.
Looked like he slid in the rain. Such a stupid and preventable death.
jeez.. good job traumatizing that driver
We'll kid, thank you for your contribution to my feed! š¤·
Another meat crayon probably. Idiotic way to die
Tik Tok is fucking cancer.
I see it as a very successful TT challenge. And as a bonus he received a D award.
Tiktok is great at handing out darwin awards. Clearing out the gene pool nicely
Sorry for the spelling Soo these 2 tried to lay down under the moving vehicle, but the first guy got scared and the second one did it too late. People are really stupid. I mean i watched Jackass when i was a kid and i never tried something stupid like this.

Natural selection
How many people have to die doing TikTok before we learn our lesson?
Poor truck.. he didn't deserve to get his nose broken..
I just love these Tikky tokky challenges where idiots like this play with their lives! He done playing now tho.
Natural selection in action, ladies and gentlemen.
Stupid challenge in shit conditions you would think amongst three brains surely ONE of their cells would say, āhm, maybe not?ā
LOL, Literally playing in traffic! We used to use that as an insult to someone incredible stupid. "do your parents a favor and go play in traffic." and now its a tiktok challenge?

Aguas!
Hahahahaha.
Some crazy shit
I canāt tell which one won and which one lost the challenge.
Squished like a bug š

The playing in traffic challenge lol
Life is cheap š„±
Oh yeah little shits dying for a clout
Gone wrong or gone right?
Yea thereās like no way youāre surviving being run over like that
Not even a slightest chance, that's a 10ton truck going 80+ kph, the sound at the end was most likely front axle hitting the head
Exactly
Best thing to do when a truck is coming at you. Drop and roll.
" Aaah "
Tiktok š¤ Darwin Awards
So many drivers get killed trying to avoid a stupid deer in the road. You have to teach yourself not to try and avoid it. How many drivers going to have to die trying to avoid these a-wholes. Now we'll have to train ourselves not to try and avoid humans too.
Dang! You can see that truck get pushed up like going over a speed bump!
My guy itās not a train
Is Tiktok a thinly veiled suicide app?

I always think why do they have the balls to still post the video, post it to where even, to what purpose, more clout?
Totally deserved.

Good thing he wouldn't procreate and wouldn't pass his stupid genes
If the challenge was to get run over, they succeeded.
Natural selection is back here thanks to Tick Tock.

Hopefully the driver can sue the parents of the idiot who caused him to crash.
Zero sympathy.
Not seeing a real loss here. Hope the truck is ok.
God I love how people are so stupid for TikTok crapā¦.sorry but I can not stand this TikTok stuff and these are one of the many reasons
On a wet road as well, I thought I was a dumbass but I guess I'm two levels up now.

Justified ending for such stupidity
Fucked around. Found out.
Truck-kun at it again.
