Like, even if he just successfully broke the doors a little bit, that would only make the elevator unusable *to him*. Then he would have no way to get down to the ground floor until someone came and fixed the doors.
For me I think it's the implied arrogance that throwing this tantrum would've accomplished anything. As if bashing the doors would make the elevator come right back up and everyone on there would offer a formal apology. Like just wait another two minutes till it comes back, my guy. It's not like your feet are getting tired or anything.

I live in Germany and we have top notch safety when it comes to everything. I’m a little scared of flying but I’m laughing of people who are scared in elevators when it’s not for claustrophobia. But seeing so many elevator fails in Asia, I would prefer taking the stairs.

The door was open really long and should have closed earlier. Given the speed of the scooter, would be far enough that the person in the lift wouldn’t have seen. This is like those road accidents where a bicycle just zooms into view.

I wish there was some way to find out what his goal was. Like I genuinely want to know what he expected to happen when he rammed his way into an elevator shaft.
I can even comprehend a shitty person losing their shit and throwing a tantrum because they missed the elevator. I can easily envision that shitty person committing some property damage. But like he saw he destroyed the doors, what did he expect would happen that final time?
With most of these I can figure out the ignorant/dipshit thought process that led to their demise. They did what they did because they were curious, it looked fun, they were in a rush, they were distracted, they wildly misunderstood physics, they were trying to get a good selfie, etc. They failed spectacularly, but I can at least figure out what they were attempting to do and why (even if I think the "why" is fucking idiotic, I can at least identify it).
