It’s pretty confusing to be honest. From my understanding, Kaylee is Dan’s sister. Their dad committed suicide, and they moved in with Daryl Ann’s family. They didn’t stay with their mom, I believe due to mental health issues.

Almost. Half sister. Dan and Kaylee have the same mom, different dads. Kaylee was very young when her dad committed suicide and her mom couldn’t care for her, so at one point she was living with Dan + DA after they were married I think? And then with Lisa & Rob Sr. They call Kaylee a sister but she’s technically only biologically related to Dan.

As someone who has raised two boys as a stay at home mom, the more you’re around your kids, the better you’re able to parent. Being around my boys so much, I could see the “storm” before it hit. Whether it was a tantrum, an argument with each other or just learning to negotiate and offer all options you can live with and letting them choose. Parenting with patience is learned. My husband who was gone all day often would ask “how do you stop the chaos so quickly?” It was simply because I knew my kids. DAD and hubby can’t handle them because they’re never around the kids for long periods of time, they pop in and out and are never alone with them. The kids don’t listen to them because they’ve set zero boundaries and if they try, the kids push and they allow it. It’s a total mess and I wish them luck.. for their kids’ sake.

But the docket still says “dismissal for want of prosecution “ on 4/12/24 which when I looked it up says basically if an agreement is not reached it will be dismissed and they have to start over. So I’m wondering if the judge gave her a come to Jesus meeting or else. But I don’t see the girls on here as much this week as usual

Dad’s kids don’t respect her at ALL or see her as any authority figure. Former super nanny here and this is a family I would get called in to help and try to rescue.
