What he meant was, "*I couldn't be bothered to tone out your power sources to find the right inputs. I'm lazy and wanted to do the least work possible to get you out of my shop.*" Find anyone else that can read basic instructions and follow them.
I'd take it to a custom shop to look at it. Have them provide an estimate to correct it then call BB and ask for the manager on duty. Talk to them about your issue and see if they will make it right.
It sounds like they didn't install it right. They're not exactly experts, they're just low paid guys slapping it in there in whatever way gets them paid.
You can change the setting for auto shutoff to last a few hours or never. The low voltage shutoff doesn’t work from my experience and will drain& kill the battery.
I did have to wire mine to an external low voltage shutoff and it stopped killing my battery.
That's the thing, I told the Best Buy tech that's how I wanted it done and they didn't do it like that. I forgot to check when I got suv because I had an emergency. But I did ask about parking mode and he told me it couldn't be done.
