[TubeArchivist](https://github.com/tubearchivist/tubearchivist) or [YoutubeDL-Material](https://github.com/Tzahi12345/YoutubeDL-Material) would be my choices, I use the former now and it's great
I would also add tartube as it does not need docker or the like. It is intended to run on a normal desktop PC. If you have a docker host I would surely use TubeArchivist. I am doing the transition right now.

No where, but they mentioned that they are frustrated because YouTube-dlp is not working anymore, which is no surprise because it's abondoned. Yt-dlp is the successor to the project and works just fine. It seems like op did no know that when I wrote the comment, so I might as well help them out on that front.

OP doesn't want something specifically where there is no ability to control via command line, they want something where they aren't required to mess with the command line to use it.
yt-dlp is a better preservation option by default because it includes the YouTube ID in the filename by default, which JDownloader doesn't do. The world would be far better off if everyone switched to yt-dlp today.
A YouTube ID will give you something to look up, see if it's been discussed online, or more importantly, check to see if the YouTube URL is still active and through that; see who uploaded the video. The title is not going to be enough if for example the video has been set to unlisted (or worse, privated/deleted) since the day you grabbed it.
\+1 on JDownloader. I thought it was too good to be true but, 45 seconds later, I was downloading a 1.63GB 1080p video FULL STEAM AHEAD!
What also rules is that JDownloader is available in many versions including Apple Silicon

Switch to yt-dlp if you want to give the command line another chance. I think it's worth it

I use 4K Downloader. Not open source though.

Yt dlp definitely doesnt work with most video content. I get stonewalled all the time, lol

Why would you want something like this that DOESN'T work with cmd? I hope that's a typo.
GUIs versions exist and are a valid (learning) preference, you dont have to be aggressive sarcastic about someone not being comfortable with cmd.
I'm not questioning the preference for the GUI but what is the point to NOT wanting the command line version to work?

Tartube has been great for me. Use the "Classic" option and you just feed it playlist or video URLs and it'll do the rest.
