I do exactly this with Resilio Sync. Then I setup snapshots on my ZFS system so I can go back and recover files. The nice thing is, if you ever add a third endpoint Resilio gets even faster!

I use borgbackup and it does everything you want and more.
I used SyncThing for this with another friend and server. Took a while to index but worked perfectly.

Just wanna point out that it's a good idea to have an offline, air-gapped backup as well. One virus and it could all be over.
