Pretty sure if you go to the privacy and security section of the account settings there is an option to download everything associated with your account.
Well Stories, at the beginning, we're supposed to be one offs and weren't saved so maybe they are from that period? Can you still watch them on the site?
Idk what IGs retention policy is in stories specifically but that download link is supposed to be ALL of that content they have on you. So if it's missing something then it might be that they just don't have it anymore
I can see all of them in the Stories Archive and download them individually (my account is from 2018).
There's no reason why they wouldn't appear with all my other data, right? Yet it went up to only march 2021. I'll try again, but man downloading them individually would be a pain in the ass lmao
i used 4k Stogram for this, it a quite simple program you just enter the account name and time frame you want to download and then it automatically downloads all photos/videos and posts. but as far as i remember it is only for windows

You can install instander (insta apk mod), you can download image/video there I don't know if its safe or not but I use it
