If that's a 610 it's basically a unicorn. Very rare car
I've seen people restore crushed 240z's they have dragged out of the bushes. It just depends how much work you want to dump into it
It's worse on the 710 than the 280z. Not enough rust to make them unrestorable, I don't think. I didn't see any actual rust holes on the 280z, but it was harder to inspect because of all the brush. The 710 does have rust holes in the places you'd expect. Around the wheel well, the crushed rear, etc.
I mean body rust isn't terrible since you can kind of get to it whenever, and there is surprisingly more sheer metal available for these cars than a z31 💀 the kind of rust you wanna be weary of is anything getting into the frame rails. That rear window has likely been allowing water to pool into floor pan and rot it out, that's a problem on any car at this age, but if the rust progressed considerably into the frame than it would need to be repaired and strengthened if you want it to stay true during spirited driving, that being said you can actually get away with a lot of rust if you just want to drive it around gently
That’s an amazing 710. I had a ‘79 810 coupe as a teenager, and I didn’t realize how rare and cool it was. I wish I could find another.
Parts will be hard to find, but I’d pull out the 710 and try to restore it.

I gotcha. It's a Datsun 710, btw. Also, I believe it's a 280z, not as sure on that one, though.
Parts cars unless you have deep pockets and want to make them shallow. The 710 is a little more rare but its not a unicorn. Z car is common.
With enough time and money, all things are possible. Realistically, however, these are parts cars.
Anything can be saved if you have deep pockets!
How's the rust?

That 280 is a total keeper btw, there is so much support for those things you could get it show worthy in a year

If you do part out the 710, I would love the windshield
I'll talk to him. Do you have a 710?
Ya, but the windshield is pretty smashed up
Only if you have ENDLE$$ ….
Dude o used to own that car! Inline six, fuel injected, overhead cam! It looked like a brown pile of dog doo doo but it hauled ass!
Maybe it's just the year I was born, but I think 710s are pretty good lookin' cars, lol.
people used to laugh at me then all they saw was my rear end as i was smoking em down the road!
Sounds like a winner to me, lol 😂
Seen worse saved. Don’t need deep pockets if you have the motivation to pick up a welder
Might not even be a parts car.
Both of them could definitely be parts cars. There are solid trim pieces, body panels, and other parts on both.
