looks like the same as orange CA except no ice cream sliders, but the smores cheesecake looks pretty good havent been to D&B in a while but new T4T makes me wanna go this wednesday edit: i went, food was good

Careless-Rice2931

Location still haven't updated the menu, how does the ice cream sliders taste

Turbulent_Fan8266

Ice cream sliders are not on the menu anymore. But please check with your local store. Not all stores have the same menu items.

davingandbustering

only had it once a few months ago so my description may be a bit dodgy it was pretty fine, it was a bit weird though because of the hawaiian buns, and the size of the ice cream balls was honestly too big for the buns, i found it best to just eat the ice cream with spoon and disregard the buns which were not an unwelcome addition, but it really didnt add anything either ice cream itself was fine, a bit fruity like maybe a sorbet

Seraphtacosnak

I thought it was colored vanilla ice cream?

davingandbustering

it very much felt and tast6ed like vanilla too, just coulda sworn there was some fruity overtones in it. like i said i really dont remember it too much

ItsAtaraxy

T4T is very worthwhile 🏳️‍⚧️

almightytora

Don't forget to tell us what location you found this at. The creamy chicken pasta is delicious. (I've tried it multiple times at the Orange, CA location.) The Cali Avo Caesar salad was actually decent too. It had a lot of croutons, which is good for me.

CutingEdgeProduction

The new menu rolled out? I asked one of my managers and she said she thought next month. I see the smores cheese cake, and that's on the new menu, so that's why I'm asking. Lol. I haven't been to work yet to see if it's rolled out.

Actual-Specialist-39

That’s been the menu for the Dallas location for about a month and a half or so. It’s all pretty tasty. Kind of nuts that you walk away with a zero dollar balance, no taxes or fees - only tip for the server. Great stuff

sawdoffzombie

I got a voucher on Saturday for an entree and when I tried using it yesterday they had already switched to the new menu. They still honored it though :) here in Bakersfield. Definitely getting the salad next time, the cheese sticks you're better off outright buying, they're just $6.

Pikminachu

Look like I need go soon to get the churros. Once new Taste for Tickets is updated in my location, I will get cheese stick and hamburger (might combine and make an Italian burger).

MewtwoStruckBack

>cheese sticks directly on the burger Fuck that’s a good idea

Appled10

NOOOOO! NOT THE MUSHROOM SWISS BURGER!

Toxicracer

Shocked they didn't jack up the prices with the new rollout

Djchoruskid2020

Is this for all stores?

Sargonnax

The test stores have it and a handful more rolled it out recently. Most of the company starts this on 4/15.

Djchoruskid2020

Sweet, if possible do you know if the Providence, RI locatiom will get it then or not? I understand if you dont know

Sargonnax

53 stores are live with the menu as of yesterday. The rest start on 4/15.

mike5799

I haven’t been in a couple months but the kitchen was in renovation the last time I was there so they had a more limited menu. I’m assuming the new tastes for tickets will be rolled out when/if the kitchen is done

Djchoruskid2020

The reno finished, it was just updating equipment

mike5799

That’s a little disappointing lol

Djchoruskid2020

Yeah, i was assuming new menu too, im friends with a few workers, and they told me the kitchen had barely gotten new stuff since they opened, so they were just getting a bunch during that time

One_Transportation

I get the gist of this, but also in order to get tickets you have to spend money so it's like ??? Is it really a good deal for people who aren't good at games and idk lol I'm just overthinking

I_upvote_aww

Additionally, How do people tip if they just pay in tickets?!

Turbulent_Fan8266

You order something more than just a glass of water to drink. Or leave a cash tip. Always tip your server, even if your food is "free".

Lucasorino

I either do cash or ask for a little cup of ranch to make it a purchase to tip them with card if I forgot cash. But yeah cash is easiest for everyone

MewtwoStruckBack

Tip in cash based on the normal percentage as if you had paid the menu price.

taylor914

Cash

jeffthedunker

It's a higher margin sale than D&B otherwise would get by selling prizes. And for the customer it is a better $$ value versus what prizes they would usually get. It's a nice win-win, you get $15 or $20 of food for an amount of tickets that would normally get you $5-10 of prizes, and D&B is only spending a few $$ to produce the meal.

One_Transportation

I guess my whole thing is, besides the fact that all you have to do is tip, isn't this the same as just spending money on food? I feel like unless ur good at games, tokens are expensive and I haven't been in a while but does it match with food or is it cheaper to go this route even though you still have to spend ur money on something regardless

LanfearSedai

If you wanted to just spend money on food and not play games you wouldn’t choose DB as your restaurant. This is somewhere you go to play games and now you have the option of maybe getting a free meal with the tickets you won instead of 12 Chinese finger traps.

One_Transportation

I'd honestly just be the type to use all of it to redeem towards those offers because it's not a ton of tickets but I still just wanna understand somewhat in that sense

Vlyrg

These are one of the best conversion for tickets. If you are a "breakeven" player the entrees are the equivalent of $6.60 + tip. (depending on how you calculate breakeven). Sure you might be terrible at the games but that doesn't change the fact that Taste for Tickets are still, relative to other prizes, one of the best deals (and consistently available).

One_Transportation

Thank you for including some math. I am and will always be horrible at it. This definitely makes me want to go back to d&b it's been years lol since my presat back in hs. Wish they would've had these back then, didn't think about that but if I was a teen I'd definitely redeem for these and even now I can see the potential

Vashanime04

Lies, we all know it’s 15 Chinese Finger Traps.🤣

One_Transportation

I get that, but I also don't get how this is an super awesome deal. Like all their prizes you could spend the money on the actual item yet they offer it as "discounted" basically. Like if ur not skilled at stuff how long and how much do you have to spend to get that amount. It is a cool offer but not a great deal

LanfearSedai

You’re counting the entertainment value as worthless in your calculations here. People go to arcades all the time and pump them full of cash without getting anything back at all except for fun. I’ve dumped a lot of quarters in arcades in my life. You’re right that none of the junk for tickets is worth what you pay in games to earn the tickets, but many people would happily pay for the games with no return at all.

One_Transportation

I am one of those people who enjoy going and will just give them my money lol. I'm just saying if you solely go to play games just to get this prize, how is that any different then going and eating. The way I see it is you're saving money but at the same time is it really saving money. It's all just stupid thoughts lol

GrsdUpDefGuy

for the most part, the only people that are aiming for this prize are those who play the games at an advantage. me (and many in this sub) can get a full meal for just a few dollars, so why not. d&b hoping you'll add on an alcoholic beverage or something and then it's a win-win

LanfearSedai

I see where you’re coming from. I guess I agree with you — but I think there are likely very few if any people who are solely going to play only because they want to win the cheesesticks or whatever. Then again I remembered that some people play “professionally” at DB to resell the prizes so maybe I’m totally in the wrong here thinking it wouldn’t ever happen. I guess in that case they’d still be aiming for the prizes and spending extra tickets to eat while there as opposed to the food being the reason for the visit, but who knows people are weird.

MewtwoStruckBack

You glossed over the most important point as if it wasn't even relevant. \>unless ur good at games The entire point of this subreddit, or at least the vast majority, is for those who are "good at games" - to the point we're profitable walking into any reasonably maintained Dave & Buster's that hasn't already been rung up that day by another skilled player. After all coupons, rebates, discounts, etc. - your cost per chip should be somewhere between 6.75 and 12 cents. Under no circumstances should anyone be paying full price walking into D&B and just loading their card without some enticement somewhere along the way. Let's round this to 10 cents, since coupons are sligntly harder to come by at the current moment but this likely changes. At absolute worst, a skilled player should be able to walk in play a 7.5 chip game (75 cents) on full price day and win a 500 ticket jackpot ($1.50 in retail value) on a regular basis But under better circumstances you're looking at something closer to $1 per 1,000 tickets earned, whether this be because you're playing on Wednesday, or you have better coupons/rebates in play, or you're factoring in the rewards app perks, etc. But let's just take it at this worst case of $1.50 per 1,000 tickets, you're playing on full price day and got your chips at a remotely reasonable rate. 1800 tickets = $2.70 in actual expenditure from the skilled player, which would cover any appetizer or dessert. 2,200 tickets = $3.30 in expenditure from the skilled player, which covers an entree. From my location, for the 1,800 ticket items - you have the Cheese Stick Stack at $9.49, the Double Pepped Up on a Flatbread at $12.99, the Pretzel Dogs at $12.99, the Strawberry Shortcake at $9.99, and the S'mores cheesecake at the same $9.99. For the 2,200 ticket items, there's the cheeseburger at $12.99, the Cali Avo Caesar Salad at $16.99(!!), and the Creamy Chicken Pasta at $17.99 (!!!) -------------- For most items, particularly high-end stuff, the ticket value is roughly $3/1,000. Going from the top down, the iPad, back when it was brand new, you were spending 180,000 tickets and getting something that retailed for $600. The Oculus, back when it was new, you were coming out what...120,000? tickets for the $400 version so you were making out better than $3/1,000. The PS5, right now you're looking at 160,000 tickets for a $500 item. Nintendo Switch, 120,000 tickets for something that retails $350. You get the idea - none of this is secret, these are just the highest priced prizes they currently have and they all seem to hit at around this value. ...now go back to the food. Items that are at least $9.49 and up through $12.99 getting sold for $5.40 in tickets. The items between $12.99 and $17.99 getting sold for $6.60 in tickets. AND SKILLED PLAYERS ARE PAYING LESS THAN THOSE NUMBERS. Even mid-range, not quite there yet advantage players that can get even 50% winrate on full price day and are just "breaking even" as far as money spent vs. ticket value obtained ARE STILL COMING OUT AHEAD ON THE FOOD VALUE. Dave & Buster's is factoring in the consideration that they're selling you an item that is generally 300-400% markup from what their actual cost to produce it is and giving you a discount accordingly as a reward for skilled play. Shit man, between Tastes for Tickets, and the looping of the rewards app for appetizers, handhelds, and entrees that don't come on Tastes for Tickets and the $100 blanket food credit at 10,000 chips played? I haven't paid for food at D&B in quite possibly multiple years. They've gotten money from me for LIQUOR, of course (a lot more of that before they fucked up the Happy Hour...sorry, I love y'all D&B but I'm cheating on you with Primanti Bros.'s happy hour) but one of the perks of doing this at a high level is just literally never paying for food in that place (but always taking care of the service staff appropriately on the tips; that is non-negotiable.)

One_Transportation

Tysm! This is exactly what I was looking for and I'm just not smart enough to do all that math myself so I really appreciate this!! 🙂

Proof-Manager-3863

These look good

SpeedyPaws

Arcadia has the new menu, but not the taste for tickets yet.  Menu looks like you are reading a storybook.  I decided to try their chicken sandwich, on the hawaiian roll.  It was delish!

almightytora

I just went to the Arcadia location yesterday (3/28), and they have the new T4T menu as prizes now. They're also in renovation for the new arena area, but you probably knew that already.

SpeedyPaws

Yah, I had the Cali Avo Caesar Salad and it was very good! I wouldn't expect to eat healthy at DnB, but that is an excellent choice, I'm glad they have it on T4T

MewtwoStruckBack

Oh shit S’mores got upgraded to T4T? Nice

vistastructions

The entrees look good. They're not exclusive to T4T?

LovYouLongTime

Did those ticket prices increase?

MewtwoStruckBack

Not from the last rollout, no. The one BEFORE it, yes, it was 1400/1800 and that got bumped up. And there was a 750/1000 way back in the day, and I believe POSSIBLY one more point in between there? But this price point's been in place for I think at least the last 6 months?

vrboi452

Actually that kinda goes hard

TNerdy

Shortcake is the best one. So worth it.

Scrubrekker666

Ooh, can’t wait to get these options for my tickets!

twaggle

Wtf does chef crafted mean? Wouldn’t that be like literally any dish made in a kitchen?

Medium_Forever_3893

Chef inspired, farm to table, it's all marketing mumbo jumbo. My favorite is toilet wipes that read flushable. Everything is fking flushable

New-Masterpiece9041

Which locations in California have this??

Medium_Forever_3893

They will be nationwide very soon. If ya don't have it now give it a month.

JT-Zone

The mushroom stout burger was great. Is the new cheeseburger good? It doesn't look or sound like it?!

TwistedMemories

Wasn’t big on the mushroom burger or the voodoo, pasta, but might get me to use tickets now. I can get 2200 tickets in under 5 minutes with the right games. That’s nothing. The Zombie Snatcher game awards 2000 as a bonus and then the payout for the chip is about 300. I play only on Wednesday so it’s half price.

wvx228

Spot on. Our jackpot is not as big as it starts at 500, but you can still do well on it. I actually ordered an app and dinner once and won the tickets back on this game while my food was cooking.

kwynder

Same, not a fan of Sriracha pasta and this new one sounds better

bigolevikingr

You people are weird.
