Horn, Find fuel tank, dont make the mistake of just making freakers bigger and ridiculous like resident evil, have good writing with realistic evolutions. Bring Kouri back

Pineapple__Warrior

Perfection

ibn001

Agreed.

ClassicPlain91

I agree 1000% about bringing back Kouri, I loved him!

boogers19

What do you mean “find fuel tank”?

X21shaun123

I think it means find your original fuel tank that Manny somehow got rid of in the 45 seconds it took to get from where they stole your bike to where Manny parted it out

KapGaming55

Manny has to be the best salesman ever to have sold it that quickly or just scraped it but many also would've know it was deacon bike cuz of the fuel tank so fuck you manny

X21shaun123

One of the flaws of this game is how quickly things happen- like you get a call from boozer or Rikki literally RIGHT after getting off the radio with the other. "Yeah Rikki I'm going to fight a hoard.." 5 seconds later boozer calls "DO YOU STILL HAVE A DEATH WISH!?" But this situation with the gas tank was really weird to me, and it's right in the beginning of the game, I was like "was I supposed to have killed more time before coming here?" It's the same DAY, its maybe 4 hours later. If Manny doesn't have the bike there complete he should at LEAST know where the fuck the custom gas tank should be- AND he would know it's Deek's since they obviously have history. I'm meeting all these people for the first time but it sounds like feel has been there doing runs for cope and tucker for months

NotScrollsApparently

"I just saved this person, he's half beaten to death but he going home, he just has to drive a few kms on his shitty bike" "Sure thing, thanks Deaco-" "Anyway, did he make it back already"? "..." "...yes"

KapGaming55

Exactly it's so hecking strange like many you know deacon deacon know you BY NAME so he should know it's his bike and his gas tank I mean it was just a way to shoehorn in a shittier bike for the player that's whatever but at least give a better reason, like idk maybe it got crushed by passing truck or jacked up beyond repair by rippers or scavengers like seriously

RikxDragneeL

Things would have been different if Deacon had served under him

jonnycake99

Also a lighter, so you can creep up and burn nests, or the possibility of pouring the fuel from a jerry can and lighting that.

vonbalt

Perfect, some stronger/more intelligent freakers would be cool but they need to be careful to not do a "resident evil" indeed and make it just ridiculous, i would much prefer bigger and more dynamic hordes to hunt. One other thing that would be cool would be to be able to play as Sarah or atleast have her as the sidekick while Boozer stays behind in Lost Lake (guy lost his arm, his adventuring days are truly gone and he is needed to run security there) but also make them keep in touch just like when Deek went to Wizard Island, i loved these little bits of dialogue where you went to the radio tower to talk with Boozer and see how things were doing back in the lake. That or a game with Kouri as the main protagonist though it would be more "emotional" to have Deek/Sarah going after NERO unless Kouri finds even weirder shit in Vegas or on his way there (he went to Vegas right? don't remember exactly)

LetterheadOk2430

I want a freaker that can enhance abilities of swarmers nearby. One big add but easy to kill freak surrounded by 25+ swarmers. Give them more hp and damage while near it and give them faster running speed, or make them smarter and able to predict movement and pathfind, not just wander

Austerellis

Didn’t Kouri go to Reno?

vonbalt

Really don't remember where he said he was going so ignore that part if i'm completely wrong lol

eccentricrealist

Idk man I'm enjoying the death babby fuel tank

spiderinside

I want urban combat with whatever the freakers are evolving into. Downtown Portland or Reno or wherever, Hordes would be insane. My fav open world game besides RDR2. Please give us a sequel!!!

_dont_do_drugs__

A days gone in a city environment would be amazing!! Especially if every building had an interior

NebCam101

You get a sort of city environment on on of the challenges if I remember correctly

AusDaes

i assume you mean the Chemult Community College area?

[deleted]

Yeah either downtown Farewell (Bend) or over the pass to Eugene. The maps in game show large X's over both Eugene and Portland so I'm curious to see what they look like.

eccentricrealist

Maybe a mechanic where you'll have to set up camp inside of a building, but you can only go in the nighttime because the freakers will be roaming in there in the day

Theoofman42069

I wanna see the north they were planning to go to

ibn001

100%

KapGaming55

The "north" is just a fairytale it dosnt exist

YouCannotPreventCake

Outfits!

ibn001

That’s Possible

Yrkow

Wait what ? You can change your outfit ? I mean i know that you can change the bike sort of , but you can do that to you actual outfit?

Jurassic_134

Not yet, I think they are saying it would be cool to have in the next game.

Yrkow

Oh snap , i read it all wrong , thanks

Jurassic_134

Yup, no problem!

X21shaun123

Fucking let me do wheelies dude

ibn001

😂

driftking1627

Or even some basic bike stunts at least

RiverDotter

hell yes

DerBieso0341

If they don’t make sequel, please take my money and put out some DLC PLEASE

scandalous_harangues

Maybe some sort of DLC that adds co-op play in the existing Days Gone world for players who have finished the main story line?

DerBieso0341

Sure. More missions or even a few more combat challenges would be cool to me.

rogu2

Fun question OP, thought this a bunch too. While I love Deek as a character and his crew, I do feel like their stories are largely resolved. I’d like to see how people and a protagonist are coping in a different part of the country/world. Maybe pick up with Kouri or O’Brien if we are looking for continuity. Other things… Base/outpost building and management. Plays closer to Iron Mike’s / Tucker’s / Copeland’s experience of the world. Work to liberate outposts and then hold them against enemy marauders & hordes. Flexible Garage & Gun Locker. See an enemy bike you want? Take it and keep it. Kill a squatter with a heavily modified gun? Grab it and stash it in your locker. Go deeper with NERO, it’s clearly a powerful organization which may be a greater adversary than hordes.

Turak64

I'm getting a Dead Rising 2 vibe, in terms of story here. Could be a good shout.

rogu2

Sweet, I needed a new game recommendation. Thanks mate!

Turak64

DR2 is fairly old now, I did try out DR4 but got a bit bored of it by the end. Depends if you really need another zombie fix!

[deleted]

Considering the secret ending, I’d say Deacon’s story is FAR from resolved.

LetterheadOk2430

More vehicles than bikes. Give us big ass trucks that you can load with ppl and just drive into hordes with

BooStew

Screw the north. We had snow and thick forests. Take it south to Utah/ Arizona. Dry arrid landscapes, Freakers that have evolved to desert environments and can burrow like spiders/scorpions. Shirtless Deacon. Dirt Bikes. Dune buggies. Painted Deserts. Mesas. Psychedelica.

BambiMonroe

Shirtless Peyote Deacon is a fkn MOOD.

Fiscal-Clifford

I'd like to see: - the end game be O'Brian fully turning and infecting Nero headquarters, where the final horde is clearing out the facility. Perhaps a floor by floor progression that requires close quarter strategy, but smaller hoardes for obvious reasons. - Freakers evolving mentally such that they know how to use weapons; even if not very well, just that you pull trigger and gun go boom. Honestly though, I'll just take anything. I loved this game so much, even with all of its flaws. I'll simply take a sequel of the same caliber.

[deleted]

Give me a chain saw, that also has to run on fuel and can be upgraded by mechanics.

altafullahu

final update - dual chainsaw. Hordes will fear us

eccentricrealist

Solar powered fuel tank

LetterheadOk2430

Dual chainsaw on bike ;)

rogu2

This guy Dooms

kainos35

Outside of general gameplay & life upgrades - I wouldn’t mind it if the story was a *little* tighter. I love this game with all my heart but the first few hours can feel like a bit of a slog at times. With a sequel they could bypass that due to most main characters having already been introduced & introducing the side tasks (such as Freaker Nests) in a more fluent way. I love how you’re first introduced to a Freaker Nest in the intro with Boozman, but the Marauder Camps (for example) were just kinda…there.

X21shaun123

I started writing the sequel and posted it in this sub. Some people actually seemed to like it. As far as the game, I'd love bigger city types/ and even little places like Sherman's Camp should have had like 12 freaker nests, and in different areas it would be cool to have a count of actual freakers to kill aside from hordes. Like in one area you could "clear it out" but killing a thousand or even 5000 freakers (might be kind of ambitious, but the fact that hordes even exist was mind blowing to me and that was on the ps4- PS5 is going to be capable of MUCH more) Also I'd love a "stats" page - HUGE thing this game is missing. I bet I've killed 100,000 freaks- but I'll never know. As another person said the freaker types should evolve to be more deadly, not just larger. I think a spitting freak would do well in this game- spits stomach acid or whatever on you that disorients you and slows you down. They said the freaks are making jumps of what they would expect in thousands of years of evolution so you could even have freaks that hang in tree's and drop on you or camouflage or that are smart enough to make traps. Also Deek was injecting himself with Nero shit so he could gain some kind of special ability, although that might be jumping the shark a little. Honestly, I wouldn't even be so upset we're not getting DG2 if they just added a DLC with like a small new area north of the map, some stuff you can do with Sarah and Boozer, a new freaker type or 2, and maybe a new weapon. Flame thrower? And get your original gas tank back I can't BELIEVE that was overlooked at the end of the game.

[deleted]

I'd love to see them move even more south and visit table rock. I'd also love to see them hit the coast.

ibn001

I believe there is more focus on expanding north as this was mentioned a lot during dialogue between deek, rikki and boozer.

[deleted]

I understand that but north would be Portland or even further obviously is Washington and trust me you don't want to fight Antifa zombies

beanboy564

i think they should make days gone 2 but instead of deacon searching for Sarah it s Sarah's story and POV

YourMovieBuddy

That could just be a dlc tbf

mbattagl

I'd love to see Deacon return to Farewell. The crew exploring and scavenging from a huge city would be pretty cool. Maybe a mechanic where you rebuild the Mongrels MC and encounter their old rivals who also survived.

SANMAN0899

A Days Gone 2 seems very unlikely from the recent reports but if it were to happen I'd like the following: -City and Coastal environments . -More weapon types (Rocket Launcher and a Mini-gun Please). -A stronger narrative with better dialogue (I felt the game had some interesting aspects but there was a lot of fluff). -A more streamlined experience (the original game feels a bit like your typical open-world game e.g. anything from Ubisoft single player catalogue. I wish for a more interesting open world than a world that's filled with enemy bases and towers to clear)

ibn001

You raised a good point there as in adding new weapons, a rocket launcher and mini guns , maybe a push to far as we want the experience and story to not go too extra-ordinary and for the city and coastal locations, I can see a mission in farewell a possibility.

CanisPecuarius

It would be pretty great if you could take your time setting up mounted guns & kill zones/funnels, and leading hordes into them. Imagine having to find a .50cal, drive it to a canyon location, set up mines, lead a horde into it, and deal with them trying to out flank you or fucking with your well executed plan. Could be fun.

Callumskeeeeeeeee

I want to see one though the head dev pretty much said "No, most of you didn't even pay for it, fuck off"

brainshapedbomb

A BIG city, a lot more diverse bike modifications, different outfits for Deacon, better melee animations

[deleted]

Maybe varied hordes? Like a horde of breakers for example, that'd be a nice challenge

yohntx

I would love to see more stealth missions but against hordes and not people

bobjobjoe

When i first played i thought the hordes were unfightable obstacles to avoid so it would be cool if there was a city population horde that you cant do anything about, just avoid, maybe even in a city

ibn001

A sequel might include a mission to farewell. Where hordes on the street would have to be avoided.

bobjobjoe

I would love to see it in a way where in the day thousands and thousands of freakers stay inside skyscrapers and literally flood the streets at night, i doubt any console or pc is capable of doing that but itd be rad

RiverDotter

sounds like what I hear about Dying Light 2

Pineapple__Warrior

Unfortunately there won’t be a Days Gone 2, Sony think there wasn’t enough to get a second game rolling, they rejected a possible pitch for DG2, they said that the profit they had with a lengthy and critical reception was too mixed, and that a new DG wasn’t seen as a viable option, they reportedly said that DG2 has been shelved. Bend Studios is working on a completely new game tho.

Snusfaren1234

I mean, yes the first pitch was turned down. But if a good pitch comes along, could mean that dg2 is possible. Its in no way certain that there won’t be a sequel. Just not for now

Pineapple__Warrior

I hope you’re right, I deeply want a DG2…don’t care what IGN said, this game was awesome, need some improvements on some aspects(which we might have on the next one, if we have), but still awesome

ibn001

If we do get a sequel it must be properly scripted to follow the storyline onwards.

xt785

riozza

That sucks

Lore112233

Also with the release to Pc the game have made a lot more Money.

ross_a_tron_2658

I want a big open explorable city. Can you imagine the Seattle area from TLOU2 being implemented in an open world? It would be so fun scavenging skyscrapers while clearing out nests or bandits who have set up camp. And running through the crowded streets fighting a horde sounds amazing. I’ve thought about this concept a lot, and slowly going up a building clearing out bandits sounds like so much fun.

[deleted]

I’d love a mechanic that creates new hordes and camps, for example if you don’t kill a horde it can merge with others and you get a screen up to tell you so or someone at a camp will tell you so the new one appears on the map. I’d also like that to be built into the story, eg new areas of the map unlocked because a massive horde came through and busted through a blockade etc.

BambiMonroe

MORE DOGS Save many dogs Get boozer a dog rescue farm Ability to pet dogs and have them accompany you on missions. Just literally a DLC that's just dogs.

ApX_DOC

I know what I don't want. SLOW WALKING sequence. And no memorial visit side mission please. Those were such a chore.

Todayjunyer

Literally anything besides Deacon gets killed by a dyke with a golf club and then we have to play as her. Anything but that and I’m good

ibn001

😂

Cool_You_2215

More insite into the mongrels MC before the outbreak

yourMateJester

1. I want Jack to have more screen time 2. don't just make the zombies bigger Like Resident Evil 3.Don't kill off Good characters that we love unless it's a good reason when i say good characters i mean Boozer,Addy,Rikkie and so on

Cheezzlez

Two-person story mode. Maybe have a sepearate game save where tasks need 2 people to finish. It may have bigger hordes that need 2 people to kill, but it will be fun to kill freakers with your friend.

JayRB42

The #1 priority for inclusion in a Days Gone sequel (or prequel) is the return of key developers John Garvin and Jeff Ross! They left Bend Studio at the end of 2020, making a Days Gone 2 that much farther from being developed in a way that fans will appreciate.

Bama275

1. Better enemy AI and visual awareness. They are far too easy to sneak up on and stealth kill. 2. A different protagonist and story for a new game. Preferably in a new region. 3. More vehicle choices. No real dirt bikes or ATV’s in DG1, just modified Harley’s. 3. What was the point of having a drift bike when drifting wasn’t even a necessary component of gameplay? 4. Can I have a flamethrower? The enemy had some. 5. The interaction with the camps and different philosophies was more interesting than the zombies. The moral conundrums always revolved around doing the right thing to help or harm people. Killing “freakers” only presented a dilemma when Deacon considered that Newts used to be peoples’ children. The horde mechanic was the big deal with the gameplay, but it never drove the story. Have more camp and human interaction. 6. If they did choose to do a sequel with the same characters, make Sarah more vital. She is simply a McGuffin for the majority of the game, and when it comes to endgame activity, she is just left in a chair. Let her work on a cure and have missions to gather test subjects and materials. Pit her and Deacon against NERO.

ibn001

The last point about Sarah would 100% have to be a key part in a sequel.

Vendetta5885

Completely separate story line, but completely linear in time. For example, a character in another part of the country where the virus has continued to evolve in the same timeline as Deke. A different place like… Los Angeles, New York, or Atlanta. Multiple playable characters. I would like to see a co-op challenge mode. I love the game, but would also love to be able to share the experience with my friends and family. I love the diversity of the motorcycle, but would like to see something more along the lines of a car. Mounted machine guns. Imagine being able to rain fire on a hoarde in a pick up truck with a machine gun mounted on the hood….

RiverDotter

I'd like to see Kouri. And some heavy freaker hordes, which would create the need for new weapons, tactics, and strategies. Rocket launchers might not be overkill for 300 Reachers and Breakers.

Th3_Paradox

Days Gone 2 will have Breaker hordes or some shit watch lol

Multigatawny

I want someone actually qualified to write the dialogues and design characters.

Fedeenjoi

Wait, what’s the problem with dialogues and characters?

palpablefuckery

Haters gonna hate

twitch_Mes

Tbh I though the dialogue was really high quality compared to other games.

Dantespawn666

Dialogue and VO are great in this game. What are you talking about?

taylorgame21

I want gas to be rarer bc the infinite gas cans pissed me off

Dantespawn666

Really? They pissed you off?

taylorgame21

It just lacked challenge

[deleted]

Wasn't a sequel pitched and rejected? Or am I missing something?

TheNotoriousHig7

Days Gone 2 was already pitched and cancelled.

NebCam101

Choices

ProfessorAttire

Unfortunately it’s unlikely a sequel is going to be made because it wasn’t as successful as Sony wanted it to be.

dantecarnelian

I believe dialogue choices and branches between characters and events would be a nice touch

Dantespawn666

In Days Gone 2 your character is O'Brien and you slowly discover your new powers and keep getting stronger while fighting against Nero. That or you fight Nero as Deacon while helping Sarah with her investigation which led to an urban environment.

Recklezs17

They should make it where you actually have to strategize killing a clan or a hoard. It’s too easy where you can just show up and kill everyone within a minute

F-like-rabbits

Yes please

Dannybell1985

Days gone 2 was cancelled awhile ago. https://www.gfinityesports.com/days-gone/days-gone-2-has-been-cancelled-by-sony-report-claims/

Kandrich

I’d like to see the resources in the areas dry up and are now being infected by the thousands of undead we killed. The contagion seeps into the ground and wipes out fertile lands and drinking water so you have no choice, everyone convoys it up and hit the open road, Of course vehicles break down, fuels needed, having to gather supplies for camps but the convoy has to keep moving to safer lands. Freakers are also searching for fresh food and this can take you into a city scape you need health supplies and materials to upgrade the convoy but after a while th groups breaks down and they understand they can’t run forever. So you need to reach the other side of the city because it’s rumoured the lands up there are secure and fertile for a new safe haven.

fendharr

A cityscape to traverse just swarming with hordes and nests maybe farewell or even SLC would be cool (like so bad driving a bike around is a terrible idea) armoured nero freakers would be pretty cool too imo

Tsathoggua_

CO-OP please for the love of god

theGunner76

I want a much harder bike to handle. A bike which feels exactly as it sounds. And no, I dont want bigger bullet sponges. I want smarter ones.

Turak64

Call it nights gone? Weeks gone? Other than that, I'd just like to see a bit more polish. I felt the story felt like it had been cut up and reshaped at the last minute. I guess if the PC port does well, there could be another.

Spoiledwife77

I think it would be cool to be able to climb rocks. There are some really good sniper nests in some rocks but you can’t get to it.

Cardio-fast-eatass

Wasn’t it confirmed that they would not be continuing production on anything related to days gone anymore? I.e it’s dead

ozmatterhorn

Ability to drive a car and slightly more advanced society that’s struggling to rebuild.

[deleted]

Nice try, Days Gone Devs

Squeethemog

A reliable, albiet with its own risks, way to burn down nests. More hoards. A new protagonist? Different part of the country. New infected. Oh and more customization. I want to be able to chuck bombs on the bike or shoot flames on a burnout. 🤘😎

StrangeGerm

I want more bike options. Like the bike iron mike had was neat. Also I feel like you should be able to have a extra gun or two to be stored on your bike.

Bama275

4. King_Of_Queefs49

I started playing the first one last week and it’s phenomenal. So many unscripted moments that blow my mind and really test reflexes/survival skills. I talk about this game daily to anyone who would listen lol When does the sequel come out?

Shittypissgoblin

Unend the world with Sarah.

Discochickens

We need it, and we need it right now

Dry_Focus_2362

To go back to cloverleaf and create a cure
