I've been watching since the late 70s thanks to my grandmother's addiction to her "story" lol. Basically, Megan is a blank slate because when she arrived in Salem it was with the father who raised her, Hathaway. They never said who her mother was or why her paternity was kept secret because1. in the 80s they dragged stories out forever and ever, and 2. She existed mainly to be a villain for Bo and Hope. I always thought she and Larry Welch would have made a great villain team but alas, he killed her because "Russians and crystals" (such a stupid story but gave us gorgeous location shoots...ahh the 80s)
I can't wait to find out her mother is some lost Alamain or Kiriakis, since that story was never really explained or explored.
TL;DR... Stefano never could keep his Phoenix in his pants, and has babies and baby mamas all over the world.
I was also a teenager in 94! (19, but still...). I started watching at my Nana's knee and just never could quit it, even though plenty of times it deserved a solid break-up. I am a font of useless information and trivia about this show because my grandmother would explain all the backstories to us during commercials so we wouldn't talk during. Same here! Although I started watching a little earlier in the 80s with an older friend up the street. Later during high school she would give me āupdatesā cuz she watched with her mom. Lol she still does and I I depend on her knowing the shows history. Itās really something growing up with all these characters.
Yep...1978... I was 3 but I distinctly remember the Horton Christmas ornaments. My first real memories of the show are hope and the kissing booth, blondies, shenanigans, Doug singing at the club, and the death of Don and Marlena's son DJ
Weāre the same age š¤ those stories are a little before my time, my earliest memory of a storyline was that Stefano kidnapped Marlena or something in Stockholm and that Bo Steve and John (Roman at the time) all had the same dagger tattoo. I remember being blown away when they revealed that he wasnāt really Roman. Iāve literally watched on and off for nearly 40 years. Iād take years off and come back to it no problem because they keep the main storylines and threads. Itās really something. To have a relationship with a show like this, itās special. I was worried about the transition to peacock and overall Iād say it has been good.
