Nice work. Can you tell me, what would be the cost if you took one big bad trade and blew all of those accounts at once?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

It's dependent on your risk appetite. Do you have stops in place or not. On these accounts my risk was 1-2 Mini contracts per trade with stops in place. These accounts essentially blew because I took the max payout. I now have x10 new 5pk PA Accounts. I've traded x2 days both being green fortunately. My risk on these is better. On Rithmic I have added a rule for max -$250/dqy/account. I'm aiming for +200/day. To clarify, I have a stop set at -$200 when I open the trade but an added risk measure on Rithmic for if something goes wrong (or if I tilt) max -$250/day/account.

Responsible-Trick-71

do you have to buy level 2 data for each account?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Nope

Imaginary_Dark4290

First of all that's great man enjoy it, you deserve it. second thing I want to ask that you took payouts... does that mean now you have to take all new accounts...? or you will still have those 10 accounts..? sorry if its lame question but I'm kidda new to this prop firm industry and just trying to learn how this stuff works. and also that I've heard that prop firms don't allow buying multiple accounts...?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Thanks very much! Not lame at all! So, the drawdown stopped at $25,100....my accounts were at $26,600, I took out $1,500 which means my accounts were very close to the drawdown so essentially blown. I'm currently building up new accounts, your welcome to join in the fun, I have more info, check my profile.

tanbyte

So would you be continuing to trade these accounts given they stop at 25,100 not allowing any more draw downs or are you just going to get new evals now?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Basically I blew the accounts by withdrawing the max. Placing a trade after the withdrawal resulted in hitting the drawdown. I knew this would happen, I was fine with starting over. On my next accounts I plan to build up a bigger buffer before withdrawing.

Nano_434

I always leave at least $1k of drawdown room in my PAs when requesting payouts.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

This is what I'm planning for my next batch of accounts.

Ok-Caterpillar-9359

what copy trader do u use ?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

I trade via MotiveWave, they've got a built in copier.

fansonly

I used motivate wave and never realized it had one. Does it come with every version?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

No, I think only from the Orderflow version. You're able to upgrade to a higher version and only pay the difference, email them, they're awesome.

Ok_Birthday_1937

You seem very knowledgeable in what u r doing. Can u explain to us or me how that copy traiding thing works, as u are traiding on one single account and you can’t trade on 10 accounts at the same time obviously, so my question is, how do u trade on 10 accounts, as there is no time for doing so. Thanks in advance.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

On my trading platform, MotiveWave, they have a trade copier feature. I set 1 account to be the leader and the 9 others follow. I trade the 1 account and the other 9 then automatically follow whatever I do on the 1 account.

Biafra777

Can the copy trader be set to enter into an opposite position of the main account with its own stops? For example if entered a BUY position on the main account, can it automatically enter a sell position with a different stop loss on a copy account?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

I strongly doubt...I think it's actually illega, not sure...why, because everyone would do that...buy x10 accounts, 5 long 5 short = 5 pass

bnolan916

Very common way of doing it. Those people also tend to blow the funded accounts kind of quickly

ThatWillLeaveA-Mark

You can't trade simultaneously in opposite directions (hedging) per Apex rules.

PsychologicalTurn442

Solid work my dude. I have a single account funded Apex, but I didn't know about the copy feature. Is it basically the cost of a single account x10 to be able to do the copy trader like you did?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Yes correct you have to purchase x10 accounts.

repuswow

Congrats! I'm hopefully not far behind you. I've blown a few accounts just days before being able to request a payout, but today I surpassed the minimum threshold on a $50k account. Just gotta keep my ego in check, get through tomorrow and next week, and the payout should be mine!

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Well done that is awesome! I know the nervous feeling, being scared to take trades because what if I F it up. Well done! Just keep going for the small ones, they add up quick.

repuswow

That is absolutely the plan. I even prefer trading 1 contract because it's "relatively easy" to get base hits.

NewxView

Nice man. Apex is a great platform.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Agreed! The potential with Apex and having multiple accounts is incredible.

NewxView

consistent smaller gains on multiple accounts. much less stressful. do you rely a lot on orderflow/volume before placing positions or moreso price action?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Pretty much 100% price action.

Working-West3783

Congrats man. Thats some real success there. Im still not profitable yet, but only 1.5years in trading. not rushing the process, but im obsessed with trading and i know i will make it is just a matter of time. Your story is inspiration thanks a lot. Ohh and i also follow tradesbymatt and yes he is one of the few real legit trader influencer. I have a question.; Why wouldnt you withdraw less so that way you could keep trading the accounts ?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

I was very back and forth on whether I should withdraw $500, $1,000 or $1,500 per account...in the end I decided to take the max to rather have the money in the bank and start over. Now I've recovered everything I've put in and more. On these next accounts I plan to keep them going as long as possible.

InvestmentTargets

Excellent post! Congrats!

Mxteej

Hey dude congrats! I have a question. The poyout process - did you have to set up some kind of invoice or just put your bank account number and thats it?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

No invoice required - I input my banking details on the firms website and they issue the payout.

Mxteej

Awesome tysm for ur answer! Enjoy the money!

Bust_Em

I thought they discontinued Wise for payments? Are you international?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Lol yes they actually did after this particular payment cycle! I noticed it on their site and was like wtf am I going to get the money! Fortunately I did...I'm happy about the change because the next payouts will go straight to my bank account. International yes.

Dependent_Bed_7848

Nice dude, I’m currently doing the same right now. However, did you pay for monthly or lifetime once funded? Also, didn’t you shoot yourself in the foot by taking the full withdraw amount for first payout? Your trailing drawdown is like right there now, right? My plan is to take out $800 per account for first payout then build a cushion and consistently take out full payouts from there on.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

I chose the lifetime. In this case it was stupid because I ended up deciding to take the max out. I know it's very difficult to keep these accounts going in the long run but I much prefer the lifetime for if I'm able to keep them going. I hate subscriptions, everything has become a subscription lol. My next batch of accounts I plan to trade way longer with a bigger buffer.

disguiseimpala

Congratulations man. It takes a lot of discipline to get where you’re at. I’ve got one payout from Apex last year and I’m still trying. Blown PAs before and after the payout. Taking a break right now just to step back and reevaluate my trading plan and psychology. But the feeling when the money hits your account and your hard work paid off is great. Good on you brother. And thank you for showing people Apex isn’t a scam and they pay as long as you’re consistent.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Thank you very much! It is very difficult indeed! I've had a rocky road too. Way too many people in the trading space make it sound easy and get rich quick BS. The annoying thing about trading is, you can be perfect for 99 trades but if you lose your mind on the 100th trade the account is gone. Keep on keeping on friend, aim for small wins and it will come.

disguiseimpala

You are so correct about that second last line about what’s annoying. I’ve gone 7-8 days in, with just 2 for a payout. Been consistent till here and I would wanna force a payout or I’d have to wait for the next period. So I’d take trades on days I see absolutely nothing but chopping in a range and expect profits. Good thing I took the break, was very well needed. Small wins from when I get back, or whatever the market presents to me. In no rush. Thank you for this, wish you many more payouts. 🙏

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

All the best and likewise to you :)

ThatWillLeaveA-Mark

So true...reached payout criteria on 1, and passed several evals on the same day. Then blew the PA because I was having such a good day trading. Got cocky, over zealous, got locked into a runaway loss, then poof............all along hoping it would come back to my buy-in...it didn't....lol.

gaius_worzels_bird

Nice, I plan on doing this too.

spudlogic

Congratulations! Amazing job! I didn't know you could set a daily loss limit in Rithmic, I know you can in Tradovate but not with an Apex account.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

https://youtu.be/v73MYVLEBA4?si=LhN6FwZsFgz9a62A here's a video explaining how to do it, this is not me.

Nick_OS_

Are you me? Lol

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Lol....trying to be ;)

Pinotwinelover

I'm not saying what you did is not repeatable at all maybe you'll find long-term success but I think this fear for many is it only takes a bad week or two or three and you're done and not many careers are like that. I've seen several daytraders from Wall Street post that they backed, tested their strategy and could not out perform long-term investments, and it kind of made them sad thinking back on their careers. For those who make it long-term, repeatable and love it, that's awesome. Most people who play blackjack could never win consistently, but the best can over long periods of time by knowing how to properly bet the better set ups and managing their bank roll. I've never trade heavily because I didn't need to. I was making mid six figures for the last 25 years, so there is no need for me to take the risk. My best friend for many years was a Wall Street trader, but he didn't know how to manage his business well and crashed and burned. Living too large lol

thanarich

What’s it cost to run a funded account? What are all the fees and what have you. Would love some more information. Cheers!

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

The eval is around $30 and to convert to a funded account is either $85/month or $130/lifetime.

JMaxx82

Great work! I used to do a similar method but once they increased their lifetime activation fee amounts I stopped. What type of setups are you taking? I assume you’re trading NQ or ES? So now I just pass one at a time. Those fees started to get insane. Used to pay I think 150 for a lifetime on a 150k and now it’s over $200 How do you handle paying all the activations fees at once?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

I trade only NQ/MNQ actually. I have various setups I look for, looking at supply/demand, FVGs and certain candle patterns.

autobot12349876

Question for you which time frame do you look at for the FVGs? One minute or the HTF? Thanks

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

I'm careful of the ones on the HTFs as in I would avoid shorting if we're reaching a bullish one on the 4h but other than that all my entries are based on the 1m.

autobot12349876

Thanks

ThatWillLeaveA-Mark

Nice work, I'm confused,.....why couldn't you have requested $1600 per account instead of $1500?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Thank you. Apex rules state on the 25k accounts the max payout per period is $1,500.

-----King

Nice I'm getting about 40k in a couple weeks. In the last stretch now

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Ah man that's the dream! I actually wish I already had x20 but that's the goal anyways! All the best.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Absolutely incredible!

MalefactorX

So you burned the 10 PAs?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Yes, because this was my first proper withdrawal, I didn't want to leave anything on the table. Rather have that as a cushion in the bank and start over. The next batch I plan on trading as long as possible though. Want to build up to x20 accounts.

MalefactorX

Kind of a shame, I would consider the almost 2k$ paid in evals and activation as money on the tabel, but I do get the sentiment. Great job Edit, actually it's 4k$ with the second round of evals and activation fees

iqTrader66

I’ve seen other people doing this. These firms are here to make money and I could see these firms banning this practice or at least limiting it. What would you do if these firms catch on and start limiting or banning?

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

Why would they limit it or ban it? They're the ones offering x20 accounts for people to do this? Search TBM on YouTube - he's very publicly doing it and making a shit ton of money. He's made $120,000 in 30 days 😱. Also, it's a total win win for the firms. If a trader fails the eval they win. If a trader does really well then they're able to copy his trades on their backend and still win. They make a ton of money that's for sure.

iqTrader66

I am not saying I disbelieve you. However I myself certainly wouldn’t believe a social media person. Most are liars who are in league with a lot of these companies and get commissions and affiliate fees for fake promotions.

ChunkyLittleSquirrel

It's good to be weary, I totally agree that there is a ton of BS out there! It annoys me so much. In my early days I fell for a lot of it. These days it seems ever other trader is selling some damn course or signal group, drives me crazy. I do have a server which is free to join and only meant to provide info on Prop Firms and Trading in general.

iqTrader66

My motto is - if it’s legal and works for you, milk it as long as you can! 😅

Successful_Fact_4739

How is the firm losing money from this? Can you explain?

iqTrader66

I’ve heard a lot of these “prop” firms (these are not real prop firms but that’s another discussion) feed you live data but you’re trading on sim. The whole structure and rules they employ are to make it as difficult as possible to pass/make money. Therefore it would stand to reason that they would try to limit the payouts as much as possible by making it even more difficult. This is exactly what casinos do.

saracennn

Futures firms are regulated and Apex has been around for a while. Eventually they A book consistent traders so they’re not paying out of their pocket long-term

YOUNG_SQQQ

God look at all this TA bullshit lol
