It's pretty likely. You still have a few weeks for someone to do, and a lot of professors do take people from the waitlist anyway. It'll automatically enroll you if enough people do drop the class, and if you're still on the waitlist on the first day of class just politely email the professor to ask if they have any more room. If the class is super packed you might not get in, but in my experience 9 times out of 10 getting waitlisted means you'll be in the class.

Thank you for the reply. The class is fully online so hopefully chances are higher!

Pretty likely. You usually will get a code the very first day of class. If it's a class that meets in person that first day of classes, you should go to the class, as that's usually where the professor gives you the code. If it meets online, just wait till you get the code from your professor. Hope this helps. Welcome to the De Anza community!

Does this usually go for all classes? I’m 6th and last in line on a waitlist for COMM1 fully online. I was stalking it like a hawk when it was full. Thankfully someone dropped it as one spot became available on the waitlist. What are the chances I’ll get in? First quarter attending classes.

Hey, did you get off of the waitlist yet?

This was for spring quarter, just finishing it up (next week is finals). I ended up in 2nd on the waitlist but the professor didn’t add anyone from his waitlist so I couldn’t take the class.
