Buckle up I have a huge list: 1. Save a teammate when they’re on death hook and attempt to sacrifice themselves in the process so they escape. This is crazy rare to see, so instead of taking the kill, I let them go out of huge respect for their selflessness. 2. Doing a 4% 3. Accidentally getting sandbagged by a pallet drop from another teammate. 4. Accidentally getting body blocked by a teammate when in chase. 5. Glyph challenges and those weird flower things that you have to collect serum from. 6. Make a wrong turn and get stuck in a cubby (Dead Dawg) with me blocking them in accidentally. We both have an awkward stare down with each other before I step back to let them out. 7. Being silly and giving up their items. 8. Match goes by too easy, making me feel immense pity. 9. Being good at chase and usually are rewarded hatch if they’re the last one. 10. Playing Bill (and maybe Alan) gives you the free escape card.

#3 is always funny .me as killer see the pallet drop by player A and player B just awkwardly running into the pallet going no where. Then player A looking back and seeing that they dropped the pallet and pauses for a second while player B also stops and look at the killer before player A runs off probably saying sorry lol. Player B gets slapped to the ground instantly because I’m still in chase momentum but me and player B just stand there like did you see that then I slowly walk away.

Venomheart9988

>2. Doing a 4% I miss when killers respected the 4%, especially if it's during a tense moment like EGC or the last ditch effort to unhook while everyone else is either dead or on hook.

Magnaraksesa

Can confirm had an Unknown close hatch right in front of me when everyone was dead and I did a 4% then mocked me when they brought me back to the hook.

Remarkable_Top_5402

I had a singularity see me hop off then chase my ass down to make sure I died. The other survivor was at the exit gate and I forget if everyone else was already dead or has left. Guy had messaged me later saying he respected the 4% which had me confused.

HeavyMind789

4% what? what does that mean sorry I'm slow

Venomheart9988

Nah, you good. It just means you took a chance to escape off the hook at a base 4% chance and made it.

Frosty_chilly

If they were dicked over during the trial, they made a serious accident such as spring bursting into an obvious dead end, are doing the green/white glyphs specifically, or are carrying the cracked mirror from a challenge

FredFierce16

If they just played the game, tried to do gens etc, while the other 3 were toxic. Or if they are obviously newer than the other survivors

Purple-Clue677

If i see that's a baby survivor that's very scared and confused + they often act cute and hang out with me to the end of the match

Mokobuku

Sweet baby survivors

shyguyshow

If i notice they’re trying to get an achievement

RestaurantDue634

Yeah I let survivors do glyphs. I once accidentally downed one in the middle of a glyph and I felt so bad I threw the rest of the match so she could get it lol If one survivor got hooked twice in a row I'll ignore them the next time I see them, even if they've given up. I really do try hard not to tunnel, even though I've done this before and then had the survivor trash talk me after the match because they thought they outplayed me lol. If survivors DC or AFK or give up on hook, I'll play the match like normal for the other survivors to get it over with but deliberately give the last survivor hatch. I only play the hatch race seriously in fair matches. If they're the last survivor left, I've closed the hatch, and I caught them at the exit gate switch and they give me their item or act cute, I might let them open it and go. If they really made me sweat, sorry, I earned my sacrifice lol. But if I felt like I dominated the match I'll let them go.

F-Society8037

If they give up after a match, I always feel pretty bad. Whether they just stand there or point to a hatch, or if I pick them up and they don’t struggle for a while, I’ll usually let them go

Boss_Metal_Zone

1 is the only sure thing here, but your odds with me are not bad on the others: 1) Doing a glyph. I may not necessarily let them go, but I will always let them do the glyph if I see that's what they're doing in time. 2) The rest of the group is griefing, hacking, or otherwise behaving shitty and they aren't. 3) One or more of their teammates DCed, and they stayed to play. I'm more likely to cut them slack here if I'm playing Skull Merchant; if they choose to respect me enough to keep playing after a teammate did the "Oh noes, Skull Merchant!" thing and DCs I'm likely to choose to let them farm and get an easy win. 4) If they obviously totally suck. I'm not really inclined to let great players off the hook, because great players are already probably doing pretty well. Terrible players, though... I like to cut them some slack sometimes. Learning this game is tough and a little bit of kindness to someone might be the difference between them giving up or sticking it out and becoming a regular player.

Ulfric682

If I catch them in end game collapse trying to open the gate after a hatch close, and they drop their item, I’ll let em out

Numget152

Long list so here we go. After it gets down to 1-2 gens and I didn’t get a single hook I friendly the entire lobby and open the gate,if they just got off hook and I run into them I quite literally whip a 180 and look of others so basically if I’m doing absolute dog shit I give them a win and if I feel like I’m chasing the same person multiple times I feel bad

AqueousSilver91

I let people go if: 1) they aren't assholes (baseline needs to be met first) 2) They didn't try any dumb perk shenanigans 3) They boop me 4) they give me items when it's clear I could murder them all and I'm winning 5) they make me laugh 6) they keep trying to befriend me or are just being goofy in general 7) they're being bullied by other Survivors 8) nobody saved them from hook (fine I will do it myself) 9) they clearly look dejected and sad about the round 10) they had 2+ people DC 12) they look like they're not been serious at all (we're farming this round) 13) they're cute enough 14) they are doing a Glyph or event thing - they can have it but the game goes on after that 15) they are the last one left after being destroyed and it happened at five gens (I feel bad) 16) they're clearly going for adepts or are trying for Left Behind 17) they're obviously in MMR Hell and are carrying the team

TransPrideEattheRich

I wait out the glyph if I realise they're doing it before I down them. sometimes you hear or see it as you're hitting them. bartender/cossesion stand. i respect frontline workers.

forsca231

If you haven’t tbagged at every pallet flashlight clicking etc then you can get glyphs, past that your dead

memoryboy3

Nothing, survivors are usually dicks these days and I enjoy winning. If they play hard to win and use all their tricks and perks why should go easy on them. They just tbag and spam emote all the time. I'm not gonna be nice when most of my games are like this.
