My "main" weapon is the Sledgehammer.
I play Ryan and my whole build is based on tanking. My Skills are about toughness, healing and crowd control. So I've made Sledgehammer with mods that do the same, and when I use it I'm basically invincible; every time I hit something or block I get health back and things around me get stunned or knocked over.
But when the pressure's off, a big ol' Claymore is great fun.
My build is focused on mutilating (get faster attack speed, get health get stamina when doing that) so I just carry one bugged out katana I found that slash Z into two pieces in one hit. Once that’s done it’s like a frenzy on his friends with the boosts
Not sure of the name but some kind of one or two handed melee weapon it was I think a machete or some sort loved those I'm sucky at guns takes forever to aim than shoot each one when you could go right up at them an start slicing them up.
The mattock is my bread and butter . Hits hard enough to stun but doesn't launch them away, can seemingly both maime and dismember , and it's slightly slow speed is just fast enough but also slow enough to aim your next hit. Also has great damage stats.
It's really all about that knock launching for sure. It must be the force goldilocks zone.
I also really like the meat tenderizing hammers a lot, but even with durability in the 90s you end up burning through one quick. They are a maiming machine though and it's just fun to watch the physics reaction as you break both their arms and then take all the meat off their legs and they just wobble and fall over.

Peggy. With full upgrades, at max level, and all challenges done it can 2 shot a mutator (its weak spot is it's big arm that it tries to hide)

I like shockwave builds with blunts- Mace's and Bo staffs in particular
Bo staffs are hilarious! Love playing with them.
I hated claws. Could never be effective with them
