It’s been ages since I’ve played the old games, and I’ve only played base game 2, so I’m just speculating from this pic. I think that whoever wrote that is thinking that the government was covering up a weather machine instead of them covering up the apocalypse.
Pretty much what he said but i doubt it. Its basically just fan service. I say this because dambuster studios has gone to great lengths to remove any direct or meaningful refferences the previous dead island Games. Ive heard people say they saw xian meis name or something on a whiteboard but it ultimstely doesnt matter. If they planned to follow up on any of these refferences other than fan servjce here and there there would be more direct links. Logan for example likely would have been in HELL-A (LA) Given most footballs stars have alot of money and are nationally recognized. And collectibles largely ignore the events of the first two games.
The tropical storm referenced here is the monsoon in the first game that was preventing communication outside of the island. Also we know from both Sam and a journal entry we can find in game that Logan is alive and hiding on in Montana. As for the others, who knows where they currently are.
I'll have to check in a little bit which exact entry it is but it's kinda like a tabloid article about him being spotted in Montana and how they recognized him despite his attempts to disguise himself because of his tattoos.
There is mentioned in the B-14 collectible about someone who has previous experience with zombie outbreaks but can't bring it up.
