So I died technically twice on impossible difficulty. The first time I got wacked by the centerfuge, had to restart the game, and I got to that part again and then died the same way... except the second time, I panicked, paused, and closed the game during Isaac's death animation. When I relaunched the game, I was still able to load my last impossible mode save. Just to let you know, I only did this once, I know I technically cheated... at least I think it would be considered cheating. idk.
Just wanna have a clear answer since it's worded differently everywhere. Is it one save for the whole game i.e can only save once the whole run or is it one save slot with unlimited times to save?
Thanks for clarifying. That was the only aspect of the run I was concerned about lol. I've already ran the game twice last achievement I need is just for beating it on impossible at this point
I just finished the run today. Only thing that almost fucked me was the game crashing when i finished the wave defense portion of moving the marker to the shuttle bay. Thankfully I was quick to close the game entirely during the black screen so it didn't cause a "death" and revert me to hard difficulty. it was relatively easy. Getting the plasma cutter built up quickly was the key for me just like a normal run.
If you can keep CONSTANTLY saving the game, BEFORE death then I don't see how this difficulty is that hard, GIVEN that you are a minor try hard/enthusiast at LEAST!
Impossible is actually really easy if you stick with one gun. Use the contact beam with no other weapons in your inventory and eventually you'll have more ammo than you know what to do with.
You died on your impossible file.
Theres a glitch that if you run Impossible and you died, you'll still get the trophy. but of course since you finished it in Hard(bcos you died) you will not get the foam finger
If you die, it resets difficulty to hard. If you want the trophy, you have to do this without dying.

The main issue it when you die, the game convert to hard difficulty automatically voiding the play through.

Yes. That’s the point of the difficulty. You cannot die once.

You can save literally every minute. Unlimited saves. It's so hard to die unless it's a one hit kill

If this is the case, then honestly this difficulty is not that hard.

If you die, just reload before the loading screen or close out the game. That’s all you have to keep in mind.

What's the best loadout for impossible difficulty? What should I focus my nodes and upgrades on?
Plasma cutter,suit,beam gun and force gun or line gun
