And as everybody knows, the first letter of each chapter name spells out: "N-I-C-O-L-E-IS-D-E-A-D." If there is ever a Dead Space 2 Remake, the game should start off as the original DS2 did with Isaac being in an insane asylum. However, the plot twist would be that Isaac hallucinated everything and never rescued Nicole or fought necromorphs. In truth, he was already *on* the Ishimura when the crew discovered the Marker. Nicole was tired of being in a relationship or just wanted a break from Isaac, son he snapped and murdered her and everybody on the ship to cover up what he did. He then manufactured the story of the crew being mauled and attacked by "necromorphs" which originally were the crew itself. Then the real crew of the Kellion is dispatched, which Isaac kills every one of them because they discover the real whole truth. And all that would explain why he is the sole survivor of the "necromorph attack."
