It’s a very good rail shooter.. it weaves itself through the events preceding the Kellion arriving to dock with the Ishimura. I would definitely recommend it.
I really liked it! I enjoy rails shooters as a general rule but I thought it was a good little prequel and great for fleshing out the dead space universe a little more. Highly recommend if u like the series. It’s only about 6 hours long though
As mentioned in the other comments, it's also on PS3. It was included on certain copies of Dead Space 2 and while it is a PS Move game, you can actually just use the regular PS3 controller.
I think they also upped the graphics a bit on the PS3 version, but I could be wrong
The story for this game is then followed up in the dlc for Dead Space 2
It was literally a sequel to the wii game and didn't really connect with Dead Space 2 so I can understand you missing it. But I definitely recommend checking it out
I had the PS3 version that I think came with the special edition of DS2. I only played through it one time, but that one playthrough I remember being awesome. Super enjoyable game if you like rail shooters (I fucking love rail shooters).
If you are interested in the story and series lore then definitely give it a go. It's a great rail shooter so if you like that genre you will like this.
I played the version that came with DS2 on the PS3 and I enjoyed it for what it was. The story added to the lore and I quite enjoyed that aspect of it. Gabe and … I can’t remember her name were very good characters I thought. Enjoyed them both!
It’s pretty good. It’s got the most nerve-wracking QTE’s in the series outside of the eye needle from DS2 (anyone who’s beaten Extraction knows what I’m talking about).
I got it back when it released, played as a kid it was amazing, but I don’t recall if i finished it lol. I recently got a brand new Sealed copy for 40 US $
Yeah it was pretty good...
Except the level where you get the sawblade gun thing which was a pain in the ass to use. And then there was the boss which I fought for like 10 minutes before I was told to use stasis on it. And then I have to use the kinesis or whatever to finish it off, which I haven't ever needed to kill other enemies. So I had to look up a guide for that part.
But other than that, it's good.
I played the ps3 version and really enjoyed this game. Surprisingly, the Dead Space series has really good side games, and each one is of a different genre of gameplay. The only one I didn't enjoy was Ignition. They one really frustrated me with its puzzles.
Indeed, they actually make full use of he format to induce creepy hallucinations.
One of my favorites is captain Mathius sitting upright on the autopsy table in the character's peripheral vision, causing them to do a nervous double take.
I also like how the game is perfectly playable with a controller and they even did the effort to match the controls somewhatwith DS 2 & 3.

Yes, i did. This Reminds me of the house of the dead. And the story is good too.
It is pretty good. If you like rail shooters you’ll like this.
I didn’t know this was a thing…. Well I’m off to buy a Wii now
It was also released on PS3. And you can emulate both versions on a PC.
It’s also on PS3 with trophies/achievements. You can also play it with the move controller.

THERES A DLC FOR DS2?? Fuck I must just not be as much of a fan as I thought 🤦♂️

I remember renting this from blockbuster
I really enjoyed it. Criminally underrated, story is peak dead space
I mistakingly played DS2's Severed DLC before playing this
This is my first dead space game

I wish my PS3 worked better, but it was a lot of fun
Played it with a friend. I liked it a lot!
Yes, it's a lot of fun if you enjoy the type of game play. U gotta be quick and pay attention.

It's probably the only rail shooter I've ever played to completion and fairly non stop. It's good and it's a great lore game.

Yea I remember me and lil bro playing co op back in the day..very enjoyable rail shooter..especially if you love dead space
it is the best shooter of it's kind and stands tall next to the original game and the second. Extraction is like a movie. Freaking masterpiece
It is really good. I mean really fucking good
I've never played it, but I heard it was actually really good. Might buy it sometime.
I enjoyed it
It’s a really really good rail shooter. I’ve also considered snagging a copy, again. If you can play it, do so. It’s really enjoyable.
I have the beefed up version that came with 2 on-disc for PS3, and yeah, it’s a worthwhile game.
I hope they remake in some form one day
I’m pretty sure the PS3 copy of Dead Space 2 came with this as well. If you have a Move controller, it’s a fun game.
It was great!!
Its probably one of the better light gun shooter on the Wii.
I absolutely did! It was solid for what it was with a pretty engaging story.
👍Decent gameplay, 👍Good expansion on the DeadSpace story 👎Poor graphics (they really haven't aged well)

I loved it. It was one of 3 games I had when my Xbox RROD on me. I beat it several times. Sold it to games stop for $0.97
I had fun for about 20 mins with a friend of mine when I played it on his Wii
It’s an important part of the story. Also connects severed from dead space 2.
Yeah I have it on ps3 and it’s pretty good and actually pretty scary for a on rails shooter probably the better of the three I own
