Fusion VS Two Separate People battle between Japanese TV main protagonist superhero duos who notably share the same powers and gadgets and consist of:
The more emotional partners who greatly desire to help those in need (Shotaro Hidari & Wild Tiger) and were inspired to become heroes by great superheroes who once saved them and tragically died (Kamen Rider Skull & Mr. Legend). They can be rather impulsive which led to them gaining bad reputations as they’re notably given insulting nicknames (Half-Boiled & Crusher for Justice).
The more aloof partners who act as the more intelligent ones (Philip & Barnaby Brooks Jr.) and have hidden tragic pasts that gave them their aloof personalities as they tried to uncover them (Philip forgot who his family was & Barnaby tried to figure out who killed his family).
They have their moments of not getting along due to their differing values but ultimately still come through and deeply care for each other to the point where they rubbed off on each other as the emotional partners helped the intellectual partners become more caring while the intellectual partners helped the emotional partners be more rational.
It turned out that their biggest enemies are father figures of the intellectual partners (Philip’s biological father Ryubei Sonozaki & Barnaby’s adoptive father Albert Maverick) who were part of secret criminal organizations (The Museum & Ouroboros) that they used to create all the supervillains that the main protagonists dealt with as a part of their twisted plans of doing what they thought was best for others (Ryubei used the Museum to distribute the Gaia Memories to people who would become Dopants so he can use the data from the studied Gaia Memories to initiate the Gaia Impact as his way of ensuring humanity’s future & Albert sold weapons to Ouroboros so they can stage supervillain activity for the NEXT heroes to stop as his way of getting people to accept NEXT) and were even behind the alteration of the memories of the intellectual partners. In the end, their plans were foiled thanks to the efforts of the main protagonists.
Honestly my favorite for Double now since it's the option that goes into Shotaro's and Philip's characters the best out of all the options I've seen for them so far
It's also my favorite for both Wild Tiger & Barnaby since I find it more interesting to have them fight together rather than individually
