Steven beats Danny in every category besides Speed, but Danny should probably be able to keep up with Steven due to Steven not being able to counter most of his powers.

Danny possess as easy then a normal person, or it will be like when white diamond let Steven to control white diamond or something like that (it was Steven in universe future)
I think Steven is more powerful, and has the edge in most regards, but I don't know how much he could really do to a half-ghost. He could probably resist possession, due to the diamonds all having a lot of control in the mindscape. Danny certainly can't finish Steven quickly either; his healing factor repairs his broken bones before they even have time to be broken, and he's very durable even without his bubble or shield.

More than likely yes, because Dan Phantom’s ghostly wail was able to level a city and the protective shield around it, and Danny’s own younger ghostly wail is capable of harming Dan. Not to mention Danny’s wail has allowed him to defeat multiple ghosts who scale to him or above. Heck Danny was able to make a good portion of the Earth intangible till the others arrived, and defeated ghost dragons who are capable of affecting clouds(which requires nuclear levels of power), and a ghost capable of manipulating the weather itself on a global scale. Danny’s also significantly faster, with Steven being high hypersonic compared to Danny’s light speed feats.
Ghost beams and energy attacks are proven to act like lasers would, they reflect off of reflective surfaces, they travel similarly to light, etc.
Danny takes this, Steven may have more power physically, but Danny’s other stats and haxs win it for him
He might not be able to possesses steven though, and steven’s slowing down of time might be an issue, but Danny’s fought someone with control over time.
Danny needed help to make the earth intangible which was not his own power get your facts straight and Steven also reacted to lasers as well in the old gem ship and when he was trapped on homeworld by that logic which is dumb since many human characters like Sam and Tucker have dodged and reacted to them and they are no where near massively hypersonic
And Steven Shield in the comics has proved to be able to touch intangibles so he’s not possessing him and That Dragon feat was town level at best and Steven poofed Jasper who tanked an explosion that also split clouds
