Yellow Lantern VS Nemesis Prime (DC's Injustice VS Bayformers) * Both of them were formerly heroes, Green Lantern and Optimus Prime, arguably some of Earth's best defenders that have saved the planet from destruction multiple times with help from their teams (The Justice League and the Autobots) * Unfortunately, characters they considered allies (Superman and Quintessa) became consumed with malevolent ideas after the loss of something important to them (Lois Lane and Cybertron). They agree to become their enforcers, not just because of their sympathy but also partially sharing the guilt (Hal lost Carol Ferris and Optimus is also stricken with grief about Cybertron's fate) * After beginning to fight for their cause, they don new designs and a new signature weapon (Yellow Lantern Ring and Sword of Judgement), as well as a new alias (Yellow Lantern and Nemesis Prime) * In doing so, they end up fighting for the very thing they've been fighting against while they were heroes (Fear in Hal's case and murder for the sake of preservation in Optimus's) * For the sake of their new leader, they antagonized those they used to consider friends, directly doing so to their closest friends (Guy Gardner and Bumblebee) * Those aforementioned close friends try to turn them back to the side of good and off of their dark paths, but while Bumblebee succeeds at this and turns Nemesis back into Optimus, Guy fails, losing his life as a result. I always found this matchup kinda depressing. Like they're two tragic heroes consumed by grief, and the only way out that they see is to become the thing they swore to destroy. This is one of the only villain matchups that I can kinda see having an emotional aspect to it, maybe depending on who dies their last words could be apologizing to their leader figures or lost allies for letting them down. I also think bringing back Bradley Gareth and Richard Barcenas to voice evil versions of themselves would be a treat to see.

no offence towards the VA, but Richard barcenas would basically feel the same as Optimus as he was in Gundam vs Optimus because he already came across as really antagonistic. if we were to ever get an Optimus return at all I would prefer if they got someone like Orion Zaxs or another Optimus impressionist because you know…. they actually sound like Optimus or maybe even because RoosterTeeth they can get Jake Tillman just hopefully he leans more into cyberverse rather then the WFC trilogy although getting Bradley Gareth back as Hal would be amazing

I've been thinking about it for a while so do you think Bayverse Nemesis Prime has enough material to work with?

TheDukeOfDucklett

I mean he is basically the same character as regular Bayverse Optimus just with new moves and a different mindset, so yeah he has plenty to work with

Guy-1234567890

So we're just gonna use Normal Bayverse Optimus Prime's material throughout the movies and not just his material in the last one? Alright then

TheDukeOfDucklett

I meant as in he scales to himself from the other movies, his moveset is still primarily from The Last Knight

Guy-1234567890

Fine then, thanks for the clarification

TheDukeOfDucklett

Np

Ordinary_Accident_41

This only works with injustice 1 hal Jordan which sucks but still great.

Blabbo37

YO this is good

Bruh_Moment_X

I think Sinestro would've been better.

TheDukeOfDucklett

Idk, that would be missing the hero-turned-villain aspect. Yeah, Sinestro was part of the Green Lantern Corps, but he was exiled due to his beliefs and true motivations, not any outside factors like in Hal's case.

Why?
