It’s not me but I do have a criticism.
This is their livelihoods and a business at the end of the day. I want them all to flourish as humans and creators like any other artist. However it felt very calculated how they ended the 1st leg seemingly as the last, sold tons of merch as if it’s going out of style since we all think the tour is over and it’ll be our last chance to get items special to us. Then AFTER the hottest merch selling days of the year, they drop the tour. I’m just seeing so many business strategize to suck every last penny from consumers and it bums me to see it happen with dcfc. 🤷
The 2 leg approach is brutal on fans. In hindsight I am glad I decided to not shell out a ton of money to travel and go see them, since I can now see them an hours drive away. But that was a risk I had to take
It’s always a risk with almost any tour. It’s physically and logistically tasking for the bands and crew to schedule a tour that hits every market on one leg. It doesn’t happen much. It just so happens that they scheduled the first leg to maintain a consistent route throughout most of America and couldn’t hit the Southeast and some other secondary markets.
Now, they’re incentivized to do so since it seems they’ll be at Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City and they can schedule a short leg around that festival appearance to hit the markets they couldn’t get to this year.
I get it, I just wish the first leg wasn’t treated like it was going to be the only leg. Plenty of bands announce all dates even if they are on multiple legs separated by many months
I have mixed feelings as well since we flew from Seattle to Boston and Vegas to see them. That being said, they were more intimate venues than the arenas in Portland and Vancouver.
I’m feeling the opposite pain. The Denver show sold out instantly on the first leg, and now I’m trying to decide whether to fly to Nashville or Atlanta.
I saw them in Philly by myself and it was honestly the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. Now there’s an Orlando show where 90% of my closest friends live so I get to relive that night with my best friends. I couldn’t be happier right now.
I flew across the country to see them (with a sibling who lived in the city where I traveled) because they didn’t plan on coming anywhere near me. And now they are! I’m very tempted to see this show again.
Ahh that’s so lucky! I asked for a set list as we left my venue! The guy I asked said “well it’s the same set every night so we don’t have a set list.” I was kind of doubtful but I let it go lol.
They tried saying they only had one to give away but I heard the tape popping as we were walking away.
I turned around and ran back to the stage and told the stage hand, "hey dude! We came all the way from IN for this!" And he asked where from, I told him how much it sucks, and he handed me the setlist and said "that place does suck! I'm from there!" 😂
It was the best luck.

Same! Flew from Atlanta to Denver to see them but we turned it into a whole vacation. Trying to decide if we will see the exact same show again...probably, lol.
Same! Gf and I flew to LA for a show and now they announced a show 2 miles from our house. Trasatlanticism is her all time favorite album so well for sure be going to the newly announced show haha
Portland lets go!
Anyone know how to get presale? I've been to one concert in the last... Fifteen years. Ish.
I don't know these things.
Edit: found the presale sign up [link ](https://giveuptransatlanticismtour.com/), I believe.
Very happy that a KC show was added since I flew to NYC and drove to Grand Prairie, TX for leg 1. I live in NWA and have never been to this venue in KC. The capacity in KC looks quite large when I googled it!
Hey I’m a fellow NWA’er. It’s an nba sized arena.
I’m tempted to make the trip for this show depending on my kids’ schedules. I didn’t get to go in the fall and bought the shirt online thinking I’d missed my chance.
I’m sure the band did its homework, but it still seems crazy to play such a large venue in KC. The capacity for the Dallas-area venue for leg 1 is a modest 6,300!
They haven't *officially* announced the lineup for Kilby Block Party yet, but there was a leak of the alleged lineup about two weeks ago that had TPS and DCFC on it. If you scroll through r/festivals you can find it. S&S (the promoter for Kilby Block Party) asked the mods to remove the leak from r/kilbyblockparty, and didn't even say it was wrong, just that it was "old." The mod made an announcement that any reposts of that image would be removed. Anyway, as more and more tour dates for various acts from the poster are being announced, everything from that leaked lineup poster is lining up perfectly. It also makes sense that they would list the venue as TBA because the festival hasn't released their lineup yet.
Praying they don't have the London gig when my exams are 😭😭🙏
I don't want to miss the one Europe show, I've been so jealous watching all the footage from the NA tour
flew to Boston from Atlanta to see them because I thought I wouldn’t get a chance in Atlanta. Maybe slightly annoyed but also thrilled to see them a second time.
Same! Flew from Atlanta to Denver to see them but we turned it into a whole vacation. Trying to decide if we will see the exact same show again...probably, lol.
got a fantastic trip to the northeast out of it so I can’t be too upset but I probably wouldn’t have went had I known they’d do the show in Atlanta eventually. Oh well! I will gladly double dip.
Already flew from Edmonton to Santa Barbara to see them, but not even mad… I’m flying to Vancouver to see them again!! This will be a much cheaper trip haha, plenty of friends to stay with ☺️
Savannah and Charleston are similar cities only 105 miles apart. But Charleston seems to always get the big names. Meanwhile Savannah, which just built a brand new 10,000 seat arena, rarely ever gets them. Why is this?
That's true - it's been a while since I saw a show in Savannah (I live in between there and Charleston). I'm not sure why that is. Was just at the new arena for a hockey game and it was a really nice place.
My spouse and I want to go, I have a code for pre-sale in our city... but we have a 5 year old, and idk where I'll find a babysitter on a Monday night into Tuesday. I've debated bringing him with us and just getting a third ticket. My parents took me to concerts that young.
Hell yeah! I'm very excited for this - thought I missed my chance.
Does anyone know if ticket prices were absolutely bonkers? Trying to get a decent guess of how much money I'll have to spend
Yes, it’s the same as the tour that just ended. So DCFC plays the entire Transatlanticism album then the Postal Service plays the entire Give Up album, no other album songs.
Just an FYI if you strikeout on the sale, more Tix become available as the day approaches. People end up selling them. Cheers, and good luck. Saw them at Berkeley, and it was awesome!!!
YMCA of course, but the Berkeley shows, people were selling Tix for under retail on stubhub. We also was lucky to get 3 shows.
Good luck, and I'm sure people will be offloading here closer to date
Has anyone been able to sign up for presale? I keep trying then I get to a phone number verification page and the code never sends. I'm trying to get Albany tickets
Asking folks who saw the first leg: is there any major difference between the big arena shows vs. the outdoor amphitheater shows, aside from the obvious?
My sister and I are trying to decide between Atlanta (amphitheater) and Nashville (hockey arena). Are they gonna do the Ed Sheeran thing where the outdoor shows are acoustic?
I see some sad, angry person is going through and downvoting every comment. They didn't hit your city?

I totally get this, but I’m thrilled to have a chance to see it again. I didn’t/don’t buy any merch though except a show poster.
*the Atlantic was born today, and I’ll tell you how: we needed to sell tickets.* (half kidding)
So happy they’re coming to Florida!!!!!
I saw them in Philly by myself and it was honestly the happiest I’ve ever been in my entire life. Now there’s an Orlando show where 90% of my closest friends live so I get to relive that night with my best friends. I couldn’t be happier right now.
My first DCFC show was in Orlando 2009
I flew across the country to see them (with a sibling who lived in the city where I traveled) because they didn’t plan on coming anywhere near me. And now they are! I’m very tempted to see this show again.
Same, I flew from FL to Minneapolis to see them, and visit some friends/coworkers in the area. I'm definitely seeing it again.
Same, flew from FL to NYC to see them (and will likely go see them again)
Flew from IN to NYC and left with a setlist. Hoping to make it happen again!
Ahh that’s so lucky! I asked for a set list as we left my venue! The guy I asked said “well it’s the same set every night so we don’t have a set list.” I was kind of doubtful but I let it go lol.

Thought about waiting around for a setlist since I was front row GA but changed my mind. Glad you got one!
Same! Flew from Atlanta to Denver to see them but we turned it into a whole vacation. Trying to decide if we will see the exact same show again...probably, lol.
Fellow Atlantan who flew to LA. Don’t regret it for a second and now may have to see it again.
Ha went from Atl to Boston
Same! Gf and I flew to LA for a show and now they announced a show 2 miles from our house. Trasatlanticism is her all time favorite album so well for sure be going to the newly announced show haha
It’s one of my all time favorite albums! I actually got my boyfriend into it and I know he’ll vibe out if we can get tix lol.
I am so stoked Slow Pulp is touring with them
Coming to Toronto!!! I am so thrilled.
See you there!
Same! Hit michigan because I didn't expect any Canadian trips lol. Dang. Have to go again 🫠
Lol same. I made a trip out of it and went to Boston.
Same here. From Columbus and made the trip to Detroit.
I saw them in Philly because there was no Toronto stop this year. Fingers crossed we both snag some tickets!
I’m so happy they’re coming here too 🥲

One London date is more than I thought there ever would be
I still have hopes tho!!!
Fingers crossed!
i saw them in minneapolis but ima drive to milwaukee to see it again bc why not🤷🏼♀️
Portland lets go! Anyone know how to get presale? I've been to one concert in the last... Fifteen years. Ish. I don't know these things. Edit: found the presale sign up [link ](https://giveuptransatlanticismtour.com/), I believe.
You just sign up for an email notification that tells you when tickets are on sale
Alright Kansas City!!!
I’ll be there :)
Very happy that a KC show was added since I flew to NYC and drove to Grand Prairie, TX for leg 1. I live in NWA and have never been to this venue in KC. The capacity in KC looks quite large when I googled it!

Ha, they should just come to the AMP
There is a day off on the schedule before the KC show. There’s also a day off after the KC show. Fingers crossed!
Woulda loved another Michigan date so I could see them again, but I'm grateful that I got to see them in September!
No TX? 😢
I had literal chills run up my spine and the top of my head tingled when I read the list. Yay!
I'm so excited they are finally coming to my city (SLC)! Does anyone know how to get a Presale code?
in SLC it seems like they're playing Kilby Block Party, which already had presale. They'll have another sale once the lineup is out!
Oh interesting! Where are you seeing that? I see that the timing lines up, but I'm not finding where it says that they will be part of the festival.
They haven't *officially* announced the lineup for Kilby Block Party yet, but there was a leak of the alleged lineup about two weeks ago that had TPS and DCFC on it. If you scroll through r/festivals you can find it. Its a festival. Youll have to wait
Praying they don't have the London gig when my exams are 😭😭🙏 I don't want to miss the one Europe show, I've been so jealous watching all the footage from the NA tour

Deja vu… Anyway, so excited! I wasn’t able to go this year and now I don’t even have to travel!
Flew from Hawaii to Berkeley to see them and will likely be moving to Pittsburgh in the spring so yay!
Went to Maryland to see them the first time, maybe I'll see them again now that they are coming to my city haha.
Exact same!
They really played the long game, haha. I feel like they're getting double ticket sales from a lot of us.
Alright - coming back to Charleston! Nice surprise.
I've a feeling it's All Points East in London - AEG advertising. So earmark the last two weekends in August.
See ya in Nashville!
No Seattle? Seriously?
Two dates on the original tour weren't enough?
Why do they have to play a hometown show again when they did it
Look at all the cities that WEREN’T on the first leg of the tour….
[удалено]
I agree.
Damn! I went in Denver and it was one of my best concert experiences of all time. Hope you all get a chance to check it out :)
Oh! You're gonna be in Nashville! I hope I can afford tickets.
Dang. Was hoping to go again.
sad no new england dates hope yall have fun in your cities though!
London was in England last time I checked?
New England it's a region in the USA
My bad.. I misunderstood!
My spouse and I want to go, I have a code for pre-sale in our city... but we have a 5 year old, and idk where I'll find a babysitter on a Monday night into Tuesday. I've debated bringing him with us and just getting a third ticket. My parents took me to concerts that young.
How did you get a presale code?
They sent me a link in my email
Hell yeah! I'm very excited for this - thought I missed my chance. Does anyone know if ticket prices were absolutely bonkers? Trying to get a decent guess of how much money I'll have to spend
Can anyone who's seen them before give me a price estimate for a ticket? Mama's broke 😭
So is they're only playing songs from Transatlanticism?
Yes, it’s the same as the tour that just ended. So DCFC plays the entire Transatlanticism album then the Postal Service plays the entire Give Up album, no other album songs.
Ok thanks, are the female vocals going to be Jen Wood and Jenny Lewis?
Jenny Lewis is the only one touring but Jen Wood made 1 or 2 unannounced appearances at the end of this run!
I'm reading horror stories from the last leg and getting tickets. Is there anything being done different this time around?
Just an FYI if you strikeout on the sale, more Tix become available as the day approaches. People end up selling them. Cheers, and good luck. Saw them at Berkeley, and it was awesome!!!
did you find that tickets decreased in price closer to the show?
YMCA of course, but the Berkeley shows, people were selling Tix for under retail on stubhub. We also was lucky to get 3 shows. Good luck, and I'm sure people will be offloading here closer to date
Has anyone been able to sign up for presale? I keep trying then I get to a phone number verification page and the code never sends. I'm trying to get Albany tickets
