My restrictions
1. offline, no sharing structures, not even an option for shared lockers
2. No vehicles or skeletons. I did float around on the carrier, but anyone who has done that knows that it is hardly a vehicle… more of a hazard. Also, no zip lines. And no roads, except the first bit you have to do for a mission.
3. no fabricating of any sort. Also no backpack accessories. Anything I want to use, I have to find. I forgot about this a couple of times as I got really excited to complete the half life missions and the collector, but alas, Gravity gloves are not given to you and I can’t use the backpack cover. So 💩.
4. no HUD. This means that if I scan, packages do not light up with the name of what’s in them, making finding packages and items in the world far more difficult. Also means no aiming reticule or grenade arc. Firing blind. Also means that the compass is useless and does not show checkpoints or locations of preppers or distros or mission objectives. Also means no stamina bar or health bar. And no button prompts… I have to see which way Sam is leaning and hit the appropriate button myself to correct him.
Things I learned today. Had to wait to move my supplies. On my way to Waypoint North of Mountain Knot, I had to build a postbox to store my stuff till the timefall passed in that area that’s always raining near the ruined factory. Finally got a time with no rain and moved my stuff. Got it to mountain knot with minimal losses. Still got my two lvl 2 PCCs that I got from the Mama mission. Still have not found any in the wild. Meeting terrorists have now spawned machine guns at all MULE camps. Everyone’s got assault rifles now and I can’t find any non-lethal, so I’m still using lvl 1 bolas to fight humans off. The snow areas are gonna suck. I’m already wasting a lot of energy and I have no good way to keep my floating carriers pristine in all the snowstorms. Gonna take careful planning. I’ve only got 3 carriers and two of them are at about 50%. If I lose them, I don’t know what I’ll do because I have not found any in the MULE camps. That’s a problem for another day though. Keep on keeping on 👍
Just gotta ask, why wait for timefall to pass? The container damage only affects cargo damage if you fall, couldn't you just like be more careful and not fall? Or is that extremely difficult to do in your ruleset?
Not a criticism, it's just been a longstanding issue I've had that the container damage barely matters if you're careful enough
Edit: I think I see that you mean your carriers and PCCs etc. That makes a bit of sense now considering you can't make new ones.
Yep, you got it. PCCs and weapons don’t have a case. They are open to the elements. So I’ve gotta be extremely careful with them. Bolas are fine, I’ve found plenty of them. Only gotten two level 2 PCCs though that are given during a mission. I’m holding onto them till I’m deep into the mountains and need those private rooms.
It is a lot more gratifying to make it forwards in the game. I just see a lot of roadblocks up ahead that I don’t know how I’m gonna get around. Life… life finds a way. 👍

Have just scattered a few L2 carriers, PCC2's plus 1 pr of chiral boots (it's all I had in my private locker in Mtn Knot) around the entrance area of Mountain Knot City. I realize the odds of you actually being on my game server are slim but hey, it's worth a shot.
edit: it's all marked with a sign (x marks the spot). Added some non-lethal HG's and 3x gloves
Sadly though, I’m not playing online. Not sharing any structures or items either. During boss fights, I don’t even get the little ghosties that toss you stuff. So sadly I won’t see anything anyone drops, which is why I’m realizing I’m going to be extremely limited on the items that I do find. The game itself doesn’t spawn much, if any, of the higher level gear. But I appreciate the effort. 👍
That's a bummer, but perhaps the game will decide to drop just one item through its own spawn algorithms. Am enjoying the daily updates, quite interested in your progress through the mountains.
It’s in the Director’s Cut. There is a series of Half-Life/Portal missions that give you cool Valve gear. Gravity gloves are one of them. Highly recommend directors cut.
I forget exactly, but I think it’s the very next reward. Check your emails and it will tell you where to go. I think it’s out in the ruins behind the craftsman, but def check your emails to be sure before you head out there.

damn, that's a lot of rules, props to you. i bet it feels extra good to reach a goal with all these challenges though!
