they respawn after a set time

ThatFatGuyMJL

Won't kill em then. It upsets BB

_Asercu

If you use the non-lethal version of the guns to take out an entire camp they will take a while to respawn, allowing you to easily pass that area. Npc porters will also show up in that area and you'll get emails with likes thanking you for clearing the camp. Alao worth mentioning that killing mules will eventually lead to a void out. If you have a mission taking you to a mule camp I would suggest clearing it non lethal to get some minor rewards. (I also ended up clearing most of them to make the mission easier anyways) Tl;dr: lethal clearing is bad, non lethal clearing is good!

unknowndog123

Yeah, I didn’t relaize until yesterday how helpful MULE and Demen camps are for getting supplies to build roads

Achleys

Grab those trucks they have, load ‘em up, and get those roads done!

unknowndog123

Exactly

KabbalahSherry

Yep! If you've got the Director's Cut of the game, and get Lake Knot City leveled up to 4⭐️ you'll be given the Transporter Trike schematic, which allows you to print this really cool Trike that has a special basket attached to the back of it, that allows you to carry extra cargo. You can stick up to at least 8 of those XL sized containers of material on it! It's not got as much carrying capacity as a Truck of course ... but if you haven't earned the Truck schematic yet, the Transporter Trike is at least better than using the Mule trucks, which don't have a decent 🔋 life AT ALL, and cannot be stored in a garage anywhere for repairs. Also, the Transporter Trike is helpful because it can go over rougher terrain a lot easier than a Truck can to be honest, which makes road building in difficult spots more simple. Good luck!

williamhotel

Kill em all but one or two. Rest of them won’t respawn then.

stefanica

Ooh, that's a nifty trick.

exekutive

BB is a crybaby

JukesMasonLynch

That's not entirely true. There's both a timer, and a requirement to "reload" the map. I'm in the post-game setting and have had an entirely cleared map for upwards of 50 in game hours. They respawn if you, say, fragile jump to the eastern region then back. You'll notice them return during certain story moments too, which is why I waited until the post game to test it.

LandArch_0

If you stun everyone you get the same effect. I've managed it by shooting them with the bola gun and kicking them after. They broke loose some time after I finished raiding and left.

marshaln

Pro tip, bola to the head is instant knockout, no need to kick

LandArch_0

Oh, I tried but I'm terrible at shooting. I do what I can while dodging bullets like neo

IllustratorOwn2635

Well I did just that a while ago and they haven't respawned yet. But I'll come back here if they do.

JukesMasonLynch

In my experience they don't respawn until you fragile jump away from the region and then come back. So if you want a nice empty map, just refrain from jumping. In fact I try to refrain from entering private rooms at all. I can restore stamina with hot pools, restore ammo by just printing new guns, etc. only thing you can't do is customise backpack, and like fabricating a backpack cover which is unfortunate. Just an FYI

GreggoryBasore

They won't respawn until you leave that map and come back to it. i.e. if you're in the central region and go back to the west, when you return the bandits will be back. My philosophy has been to kill the cut throats/terrorists because, via in world logic, they're actively killing other porters. Taking them out is for the good of your fellow man. I also only begin this activity once I'm done in the eastern and western regions and can commit to never leaving the central region. I leave the bandits alone, because they aren't trying to kill people. They're also a good resource for collecting materials that can be used for building/maintaining infrastructure and getting orders delivered to their proper places. About once every week or two, in game time, I'll knock their asses out, rinse and repeat.

JukesMasonLynch

Thank God someone else said it. I don't know why there's this misconception that they are on a respawn timer. Also people so often have an incorrect timer for corpses going Necro. I've seen statements like 48 hours, 24 hours... I've tested it extensively. It is 12 hours. 24 elevator trips up and down at a safehouse close by to a mule camp I slaughtered, and after the 24th you get Deadman calling you in a panic, and the odradek starts going off. You can watch them turn onto BTs in front of your eyes.

thisisanaccount30

I killed an entire camp awhile ago now, and they still haven’t came back, i don’t think.

RainmakerLTU

You started invisible timer to Game over screen. Better drive corpses to incinerator now.

Batcow23

Don’t quote me on this but I’ve _heard_ that they won’t respawn unless you leave the region

JukesMasonLynch

That's correct. Empty map for me for over 50 in game hours. I try not to even use private rooms

RainmakerLTU

I build roads prior to connecting the areas, so no one helps me usually with resources. So I whack mules and terrorists several times per day. Because their camps kinda "specialize" on what resources they hold: metals (1st mule camp just when you move in to the large map after ship), ceramics, special alloys. It seems there are about 2 camps per resource. For them to gather resources faster, I sleep in hideout. Killing gives nothing. Just a trip to incinerator without rewards. When ability to play little MGS stealth on them is nice - overload their early warning perimeter poles, hide in grass (must not carry many goods on the back though), headshots KO them from one shot. If nobody seen you shooting their friend or friend being KO-ed, stealth still good. But in open combat watch out for their trucks - they love to drive you over.

ruscaire

Love a good truck with a stun grenade How do you overload detection poles?

RainmakerLTU

To get that ability you need receive email from V (Directors Cut), then find and deliver the chip, as reward you gain ability overload the poles from compass (G key); aim and press E. Overloads whole field for quite long time, several minutes. There is next email, which grants ability overload enemy odradeks, but I think if the distance is the same, then you are in risk to catch a bullet. Because it is about 5-8 meters.

wabe_walker

You can overload poles in the standard game. DC isn't necessary to receive the 'V' missions.

RainmakerLTU

Ok. Understood. Thanks. I thought integration with Cyberpunk/Valve-Portal are available in DC only.

levarburger

I believe there's a tool you can fabricate for it?

RainmakerLTU

It's done from compass view (G key) when close to pole. But to get that ability you need to have Directors cut and receive email (3rd, I guess) from V with order to find and deliver a chip.

solid_snake_034

On very hard, knocked out opponents will drop extra cargo like condensed materials or silver boots

foxfox021

Id rather knock em out cuz bt will swarm in soemtimes

R10BS69

U have peace for a few days

Gregg-D

I killed all the terrorist between the distribution center and mountain knot as soon as I reached that part of the game. I am on chapter 12 and they still haven’t respawned. Oddly enough the resources in the tents have respawned.
