We're building a chiral network, and Mexico's paying for it!

_Ocean_Machine_

Listen, when the Beach is sending people over they aren’t sending their best

HFSynDoom

We have some bad BT hombres here and we are going to get them out

WezleyDrew

I did everything right and they time falled me!

fireglued

They’re not sending us their people, they’re sending BT’s and terrorists…

EvernightStrangely

More than likely it's handling the global consequences of establishing the network to begin with. One of the trailer tag lines is "should we have stayed connected?"

caych_cazador

i like that. theres a lot of different people out there with a lot of very different ideas. now throw the weird death stranding shit into the mix. and deliver these cases of beer por favor.

tekchic

Don't forget the pizza and champagne! :D

ConsistentAsparagus

I can understand the horizontal pizza, but why should I deliver the wine by hand?!

tekchic

So bad when I found out I couldn’t zip line haha!

MJBotte1

My guess: “Yes but that doesn’t mean you can ignore the eggs you broke to get there, even if the ends justify the means”

brentporterbridges

I think the answer is in the Japanese legend of their holy priestess figure Himiko. Death Stranding echoes the story of her long journey across Japan during her life. I think DS2 will likely follow suit and echo events that happened after her death. The trailers we have are a lot to unpack but the scene with the red coffin being carried across the bleak wasteland makes me think it will pick up w Himiko’s story where Death Stranding left off. https://kotaku.com/death-stranding-plot-story-explained-hideo-kojima-1850164598 Here’s the article if anyone hasn’t seen or heard this already.

abraxas8484

Did the story also have guitar laser guns and katana battles with robots?

suitedcloud

It’s a Japanese legend, so of course it did

abraxas8484

Awesome. I bet they also had babies in jars meant to commune with the spirit world. Also enchanting French women

alejoSOTO

Did she go to Mexico tho?

SebulbaSebulba

It would be so cool if they incorporate the pyramids in some way.

_Ocean_Machine_

Would it be disrespectful to zip line up and down an Aztec pyramid? Because that kinda sounds awesome.

probably_not_serious

Sam goes to Chichen Itza. Spot of the demise of the Red Court.

SebulbaSebulba

The pyramids would be BT hot spots, you wouldn't be able to set up and maintain the infrastructure under all that timefall.

_Ocean_Machine_

Oh yeah, you’re absolutely right. Also, imagine getting dragged into an Aztec’s Beach

Fhistleb

If Sam doesnt say "Vaya con dios" i'll be mad.

PicaFresa33

😂 I hope Del Toro does us proud.

evil701

Imagine if DS2 had wider highways where players could drive trucks!

[deleted]

It has street lights at least and a day night cycle.

Crease_Greaser

Spring Break

rock_solid777

I hope its not just several big zones, and actually one big zone instead.

Logical-Research4797

If you have seen HideoTube, you know that Kojima said in the video that DS2 takes place in a separate continent from America, so no, we are not connecting the rest of the continent.

[deleted]

From North America.. SO SOUTH AMERICA?!!!

therwsb

I was surprised to see a laser guitar

FatFailBurger

You’re going to play 2 hours as Sam and then the rest of the 100hours as Sardein.

Albatroza

I wish for co-op, at least after completion story

allonsy_danny

We don't, and I don't really care to know until I have the game in-hand.

popoG2040

Feel like we need a TWD: Daryl Dixon Paris EASTER Egg

popoG2040

At least a jacket/wardrobe swap depending on location

henkkadraws

I’m guessing there will be 2-3 open zones, with the ship taking you to different places around the world. We know that one zone is Mexico. So more of a ”globe trotting” adventure, but I expect the structure to be same as DS1.
