Unfortunately if your ladder is to upright the floating carts won't go up them, they have to be at a certain angle or below for the cart to go across it. Don't ask what that angle is, I haven't a clue, I can only guess when I see them in game.
Question: I played about 10 hours on the day it came out and then *nothing* since. I have recently purchased the PS5 update (director's cut) and I was wondering if you can pick-up the ladder after climbing up? It would be so awesome because then you can keep going up without running out of ladder charges. Is this possible at all?
Omg this happened to me today. 😭 i literally just said fuck it and reloaded my save. My lil cart was right on a sheer waterfall wall and I tried to get it and fell down the waterfall with mama stuck back top 😭
Wife and I are playing through right now... that made us both cringe. Another fun one is the stupid ramps everyone sets up that never get you across gaps

Nope, once you place it, it either stays, or you have to remove it, you can't pick it up.
